The Book of Zechariah · זְכַרְיָה
This series works through the prophecy of Zechariah, whose name means Jehovah remembered, the prophet the Lord raised alongside Haggai and Malachi once the Jewish people had returned from the seventy years of captivity. It follows the night visions given to him, from the horsemen among the myrtle trees to the golden menorah and the flying scroll, and the burdens that follow, where the King of Zion comes in humility and the prisoners of hope are gathered. The prophet's own name carries the theme: the Lord has not forgotten the covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the Branch unveiled here is Yeshua the Messiah, who will reign as King and Priest.
