Well, shalom and good morning everyone. Welcome to the Bible classes of the Holy Scriptures in Israel. We are happy to be able to study together the Word of God, which we study regularly. Every week we are under the sound of the Word together. Thankfully, we have an open Bible and we have the risen Messiah. And we have the Holy Spirit of God to help us to understand the Word of God. So if you have your Bible open, please I would like you to turn with me to Romans chapter 8. And we are reading today from Romans chapter 8 verses 18 to verse 30. But before we will read a portion of the Word of God, let's just pray together and ask the Lord to bless His Word to us all.

Bless us. Bless your word to us all today. We pray from the bottom of our heart in Yeshua, in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. So I'm reading, beloved brothers and sisters and dear friends, from Romans chapter 8 and verse 18 to verse 30. And so we read, Apostle Paul continues as he's writing to the believers at Rome. And he says, Notice that verse 18: "For I reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature or the creation waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected the same in hope.

Because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Until now, and not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit. Even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to wit the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope. But hope that is seen is not hope. For what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise, the Spirit also helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searches the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are they called according to the Scripture, according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknew, he also did predestinate, to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren, whomever, I should say morever, whom he did predestinate, them he also called, and whom he called. Them he also justified, and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

And here I am going to stop with the reading, beloved brothers and sisters, of this portion that we have before us for today. Now, again, just to mention it by way of repetition, that we are in the section today, once again, third division of the book of Romans, the section that deal with sanctification. Remember, sin, salvation, sanctification, sovereignty, and service. The five divisions of the book of Romans. Chapter 1 to 3, sin. Chapter 4 and 5, salvation. Chapter 6, 7, and 8, sanctification. Chapter 9, 10, and 11, sovereignty. 12 to 16 service. We have these five S's that I mentioned in the book of Romans, the division of the book of Romans. And we also have learned that in this theme of sanctification, Romans 6, 7, and 8, we have the four major points that the Apostle Paul presented there to the believers, specifically now in the 8th chapter where we are, because we belong to the Lord.

We have the Holy Spirit of God that is able to help us to live the life of the child of God. Yes, we will fail. Yes, we still have this old sin nature, but we have a divine nature which the Holy Spirit of God is, you might say, using and leading to help us to walk the life of the believer in a godly way here in this world. Because as long that we do not allow the Spirit of God to lead us, we can't really live godly in Christ Jesus here in this world. We've also learned in this 8th chapter, because we are now in the 8th chapter, that the 8th chapter presents before us four major points.

First of all, chapter 8, verses 1 to 4, believers have freedom from judgment, no condemnation. Verses 5 to 17 the section that we have just finished in our previous a few meetings the believers have freedom from defeat we are no longer a have an obligation to live after the flesh we now can live in the power of the Spirit of God so we are no longer obligated as believers to live after the flesh verse 12, which we have covered already in Romans 8, verse 12. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh to live after the flesh. We are no longer debtors to the flesh to live after the flesh. We are now, because we are born again, born of the Spirit of God, the Spirit of God is indwelling us as well.

We have a new nature. We also have the Holy Spirit of God to indwell us. Leading us, and we are no longer obligated to live, as it says here, after the flesh. We are no longer in the flesh, but we can live after the flesh as believers, and we are called to not live after the flesh, but to live as we are led by the Spirit of God. And we have covered these verses in verses 5 to 17. Section of Romans chapter 8 and that beautiful section is deal with the fact that we can get so much frustrated sometime in our life as believers and with the help of the Spirit of God we can definitely learn from God through his word that we are no longer need to be discouraged and disappointed and if we will allow the Holy Spirit of God to lead us here in this world.

So while there is no condemnation and there is no obligation, but now there is no frustration for the believers that are led by the Spirit of God. Believers are able now to live free, to be freed from discouragement. You but many times sufferings and problems in this world cause us to be discouraged and we can always get encouragement as we look to the Lord as we see the the beauty of the Lord Jesus the Messiah but as we have the help of the Spirit of God to lift us up we can cry Abba our father by the power of the Spirit of God and we don't have to be discouraged but we are and when we are discouraged obviously we are frustrated because there are sufferings and trials and problems here in this world so what Paul does is reminding remember the Romans are just like you and i the Roman believers Paul himself is just like you and i all the authors all the the the writers the apostles were men like passion like you and i they have gone through trials in this world they have.

Gone through problems in their life, just like you and I. You know, when I first became a believer in Yeshua, my Messiah, I thought that I would be freed from problem. But I find out very quickly that you can be a child of God, born of the Spirit of God, belong to heaven, forgiven. Yet you get a time frustrated and discouraged and disappointed. But why it is, it is because we look within and we get disappointed. We look outside. At one another we get disappointed we look at the world around us and the problem that exists around us and we get discouraged disappointed we need to look to the Lord Jesus the Messiah and get delighted in this wonderful person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah whom the Holy Spirit of God will direct us to him Yeshua said in the upper room in the city of Jerusalem he will take of mine John 14, 15, and 16.

And he will show it unto you. And whenever the Spirit of God is showing us more and more of the person of Jesus the Messiah, we get encouraged here in this world. So now notice that, beloved brothers and sisters, from verses 18 to verse 30, you will notice that Paul, in this section, the problem of sufferings and the problems of pain. And while he deal with the problems of suffering and pain, as he shared this with the Romans, he will discuss with them the three times that we have the word groaning. You notice the word groan or groaning is mentioned here three times. Let me just give you these verses for a moment.

You notice it says here in verse 22: Then verse 23: "We ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption to meet the redemption of the body." And then verse 26: "But the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning, which not be uttered so the apostle Shaul Paul in this section that verses 18 to 30 of Roman chapter 8 which deal with no need to be frustrated and they say we are freed from being discouraged if we allow the Holy Spirit of God to lead us the apostle Shaul Paul will use the you might say three times the thought of groaning You know, looking at the Hebrew word for groaning, it's the word leheanach.

Leheanach. It's like you do like this. When you have some pain, you are deeply in your heart, you feel the pain, or maybe you are not happy with what's going on here in this world. So we call it in Hebrew leheanach. 22, the word for groaning that we have here in verse 22 comes from the Greek word stenazo, S-T-E-N-A-Z-O, stenazo. So we have the creation is groaning, the believers are groaning, and the Holy Spirit of God, is groaning, making intercession on behalf of God's people. Now, brothers and sisters, why there is groaning? Why there is this heaviness in the hearts of mankind at large? Why is there so much heaviness in this world, groaning?

The Apostle Shaul Paul is presenting this before us in this section in chapter 8 verses 18 to 30. So first of all, notice that in verses 18 to 22, the Apostle Shaul Paul is telling the believers at Rome that the whole creation is groaning. Is a groaning. I just want to read with you for a moment in Genesis chapter 1. If you turn with me to Genesis chapter 1, after God created the heavens and the earth, God was so pleased with creation and we read in verse 31 of Genesis chapter 1 that God God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it is very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day, Yom Shishi, the sixth day.

So God created everything, and he was pleased with it, and everything, according to verse 31, it was not only good, but it was very good. Pleased with the creation of the universe. But something happened that brought about the fact that things turned sour, that a creation of God now has gone, you might say, has entered into a state of groaning, of pain, of sorrows, of suffering. Does not only use the word creature if you read in Romans 8 and verse 20 as we read on you will see he's speaking about the creature verse 20 for the creature but really the word for creature should be said the creation it's not limited to one creature but it's speaking about all the creation of God.

That according to Genesis 1 at the end of the chapter that God was so pleased with the creation of the universe and he said it was very good. It was very good. Tov me'od in the Hebrew language. But notice now we read in verse 18 of Romans chapter 8. It says, For I reckon, Paul is saying, that the suffering of this present time. Notice now Paul begins to speak about suffering. He says, I reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy, he's saying to the believers, to be compared with the glory where it shall be revealed in us. He's saying to the believers at Rome who are now children of God, they are forgiven, they receive the salvation of the Lord, they are indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God, they are born again, here in this world God hasn't taken them yet to heaven so he left the Roman believers here he left you and i here today here in this world and for one reason or another we discover that sufferings that we have experienced in the past before we came to know the Lord Yeshua Jesus the Messiah do not end in fact when we became believers we experience much more trials now as believers.

When we have experienced before we became believers now it's it's it's like a you and i might say it's it's an amazing thing you know if we are saved and forgiven and we are born from above we have been blessed by God and well by the holy Spirit of God well you might think well the christian the Messiah the messianic the follower of the Messiah he or she now should live a life free from problem But Paul is emphasizing the fact here, he says, listen, brethren, I reckon that the suffering, and notice that he used the word of this, present time, now that you experience Roman believers, believers in whatever country you belong to, in Israel, in any people, tongues, and nation, wherever you are today and you are believers in Yeshua.

Do experience suffering here in this world. And as he's saying here, listen, the suffering that we experience here in this present time, under the sun here in this world, are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. You know, if you just for a moment turn to 2 Corinthians chapter 4, that suffered in this world and set an example for us over and above Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah, whose suffering was beyond comprehension. It is the Apostle Paul, Shaul, and many others, the prophets of Israel, the apostles of the assembly, they have suffered. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4, verse 15, he said, notice that, He says for all these things, notice for all things are for your sakes, that abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound or remain to the glory of God.

Notice that verse 16, for which cause we faint not. But though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look not on the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen, because why? For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Is because he suffered as an apostle as a shaliach as a servant of the Lord he suffered and you read in chapter 2nd Corinthians 4 a second Corinthians chapter 6 and you can see in the second Corinthians 11 you can see the affliction that this person have experienced in his life as he was sharing the gospel Romans in chapter 8 and verse 18, he says, I reckon, I reckon that the suffering, notice that, the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

And he's taking us to the future day, to a time when there will be, not only for the time that we will be in heaven and suffering shall be no more, beloved brothers and sisters that in the context here he is speaking about the creation itself. And the creation itself, this world in which we live in, because of sin, experience sorrow, suffering, and trial, and the fact that there is a groaning within the creation here of this world. So notice that. Now notice in verse 19, 20, 21, and 22, he says a few things about the creation. Now that he is emphasizing suffering, and there is a glory that is yet to be revealed in us, in the believers, when we are going to be with the Lord, and we're going to come with the Lord to rule over this earth, when Israel will be a restored nation, and the world will enjoy a time of shalom in a future day.

Listen to this. He said four things about the creation in the next verses. Verse 19, 20, 21, and 22. First of all, in verse 19, the creation itself that we just read in Genesis chapter 1 and verse 31 about God created all things that it said at the end in Genesis 1 verse 31 where it says, and God saw everything that he had made. He created everything. He said it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. And then it didn't take too long. And Adam fell into sin. And the sin, we have all inherited this sin nature. And since that time, the creation itself is in pain. Not only the human race, but even the whole creation.

We might say the plants and the animal kingdom. And everything suffer because of sin that have entered into this world so in verse 19 the creation itself is waiting for the Revelation of the of the of God's children it says in verse 19 for the earnest notice that for the earnest expectation of the creation in the king James says creature which should be creation waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. You know, the creation itself waiting the day when the sons of God, meaning all the redeemed, will ultimately enter into their place of blessings. The whole creation is waiting for them. Oh yeah, it doesn't look like.

Life continues on. And creation is carried on mankind carry on to do his or her own thing Satan is continuing on to affect the world and its system and and even the natural things here in this world are going out of shape and out of a disorder the whole creation is waiting for the time where there will be the manifestation of the children notice that i'm reading of the sons of God the children of God Why? Because when the children of God will manifest and God will reveal himself through the assembly, the church, the ecclesia that will come with the Lord, the nation of Israel who will be restored in the future, they redeem people.

The sons of God is in reference to all the redeemed, all those who belong to the Lord. Creation is waiting the time when the whole world will enjoy shalom here in this world. And this be a blessing here to this world that fell, we might say, because of the sin of Adam had been impacted because of the sin of mankind. Now turn with me to 2 Peter 3. 2 Peter 3. Peter is saying there, and I just emphasize, 2 Peter chapter 3 and verse 13. We read in verse 13, Peter is saying, Nevertheless, we, according to his promise, this is God's promise, we look for a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

See, there is unrighteousness that is dwelling here in this world. We are waiting for the time where there will be righteousness that will dwell. Now, they oftentimes say that in the kingdom, the messianic kingdom, righteousness will rule. That's when Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, will rule. He shall rule in righteousness. He shall reign in righteousness. But in the eternal order, there will be even beyond ruling in righteousness. Us will dwell there will be no sin anymore that takes us to the eternal order but he's speaking notice there because he's speaking about the creation so we can see that he's speaking more specifically about the time where the creation this creation will be no longer this as it says you a pain and suffering now turn with me for a moment to Isaiah chapter 65 in Isaiah chapter 65 God promised of making a new heavens and a new earth and but now it's not the new heavens and a new earth of the eternal order because we don't have the information about the eternal order in the Hebrew Scriptures in the That was a Revelation that was given later on to the apostles in a new era, the dispensation of the church age.

That's why John wrote about new heaven and new earth in Revelation 21 and 22 in relation to the eternal order. But Isaiah spoke of a new heaven, a new earth of the messianic kingdom of the millennial age. And so we read in Isaiah chapter 65 verse 17. We do read, notice that it says in verse 17, For behold, I create, God says to Israel. Long before the church was born, not knowing, not revealing the church ages yet, he says to them, I will create a new heaven and a new earth, for the former shall not be remembered, nor come to mine, but be ye glad and rejoice forever. Earthly Jerusalem, the land of Israel, and the world in which we live in.

Verse 18 said, Be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create. For behold, I create Jerusalem, a rejoicing, and her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people, for the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence, an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days a child shall die at a hundred years old and a sinner shall die shall be at a hundred years old shall be accursed we will talk about it we will get in other time they shall build houses and inhabit them they shall plant vineyard and they eat the fruit of it and it says here and if you go down all the way to verse 25 even the animal kingdom in verse 25.

Together and the lions shall eat straw like a bullock and and thus shall be the serpent's meat and notice they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountains say is the Lord this is verse 25 in other words beloved brothers and sisters the whole creation is waiting for the time where the sons of God the children of God will be manifested And really, it takes us specifically to the kingdom, the millennial age, the messianic kingdom. Of course, we know that beyond that in the eternal order, there should be no sin at all. But here it's speaking about the creation that because of sin is in pain.

Waiting for the day when God will bring about all his promises to Israel. The world and also for the church the assembly we will come with him with the Messiah we will rule and reign with him and so in verse 19 the creation is waiting can you imagine the creation is waiting you and i think about the the mountains are waiting the rivers are waiting They are waiting. And you and I might say, well, how do you mean they are waiting? Well, you see, the creation suffer because of sin of mankind and all what mankind brought upon the world. No wonder we have all sorts of events that take place in the world, fires and all kinds of catastrophic events that take place here in this world.

Why? It's not because God made things in disorderly. God made all things well. But sin came in, and because of sin, we have impacted the world and caused the world to have all sorts of things that affected the creation. And the whole creation is waiting. Even the mountains and the trees, we read in the prophet Isaiah, shall clap their hands when the people of God, sons of God will be manifest how can mountains and will clap their hands well creation is affected by our sin and the creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of the children of God now notice the next thing that he said about the creation in verse 20 the creation was subject notice that in verse 20 and i'm reading verse 20 In other words, in verse 20, the creation was subject to vanity by the fall.

When sin came in, remember Genesis 3, when sin came in, it affected everything. And so the creation now, remember, beloved brothers and sisters, that Adam and Eve were called in chapter 2 as well of the book of Genesis to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. And to rule over this world, over the earth, to subdue everything as Kings, a king and a queen. But when sin came in, they lost the authority over this world. They in fact handed it over to Satan. And Lucifer, Satan, became the small g, the god of this world, leading the world, mankind, in such a way and causing all sorts of departure from the Lord, which bring about the fact that the creation itself was now, as it says here in this verse 20, the creation itself also shall be, I'm sorry, verse 20, the creation was made subject to vanity or to futility, and it was not willing.

It is because of sin, because of the sinners, us, because of Satan who usurped and who sought to take the place of God. And it says, by reason of him who has subjected the creation or the same in hope. When the fall came, beloved brothers and sisters, the creation was now subjected. Not willingly, and waiting for the time. God have allowed this to happen, and God who knows the time in which he will restore the creation, and therefore, because of sin, the creation is now subjected to futility, to vanity. No wonder we have things that are going on in this world affecting the livelihood of mankind all over the world in which we live in and we can see it more and more and more as we see earthquakes and we see tsunamis and we see events that take place, fires and storms and all things that are going on.

We see countries and cities that are affected by all these things that are kind of heat waves and cold waves and things have crept in and happened over the generation and still happen today. In fact, now it happened with more intensive, it's more, you might say, without hindrances. It continues. If it's not in one place, it is in another. And the whole creation has been affected by sin and by the fall. So as in verse 19, the creation is waiting for the Revelation of the children of God, but the creation was made subject, verse 20, not willingly, but because of the one that was subjected the same.

And yet he says, not as in hope. In other words, there is a hope, and the hope is that God will make a new heavens and a new earth, and it will be this new creation. And that future there that will come and even beyond the messianic age a thousand years reign of the Messiah the kingdom age when there will be shalom here in this world and the the orderly there will be order here in this world but it takes us even we can say beyond the thousand years reign of the Messiah to the messianic kingdom with the Lord Jesus the Messiah not only going to reign now there will be sin no more and there will be no longer the issue the question of sin in the future day we will enter into the land of no more as we read in Revelation 20 and Revelation chapter 21 God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death and no more sorrow no more crying no more pain for the former things have passed away.

Revelation chapter 21 and verse 4. And this is the eternal order we can say in chapter 22 where we read in chapter 22 where we read there will be no night there and no candles need to be anymore there and so on. It will be the land of no more pain. And that is the eternal order. Specifically dealing with the creation of the world that is waiting for the time where the Messiah will come and the children of God will be with him, Israel restored, the church is with him, the true church come with him from heaven and there will be that messianic kingdom here over this world and then the eternal order.

So creation is waiting, verse 19, creation was made subject to futility, to vanity, but now verse 20, creation will be delivered from this bondage and this corruption that exists today. And so we read in verse 21, of the children of God you see the creation is in bondage slaves the creation itself is slave because of sin the day is glorious that the creation itself will be delivered beloved brothers and sisters formed that bondage from the bondage. From the pain and so in verse 22 Paul is kind of summing it up and he says he said we know we know brothers and sisters do you know Paul says we know to the Romans he's saying to you and I he says we know what we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together notice that until now until now when until the time when Paul wrote the letter And you and I who read the letter today, some 2000 years later, until now, we can say the same thing.

From the time that the fall came, that sin entered into this world, until now, and tomorrow we'll say it again, until now, the whole creation is groaning. That again, you know that expression, it's the Hebrew word, It's like sighing. Because here we go again. Another earthquake. Another tsunami. Another sorrow and pain. Another suffering in this world. Another things that have been affected and affecting the life of God's people and all mankind here in this world. Creation is groaning. Paul is expressing the fact that we cannot change it. This is the result of sin and disobedience of mankind that brought about the creation itself. According to verse 22, the whole creation is groaning.

Turn with me to Philippians chapter 3. Philippians chapter 3. It says, In verse 20, it says, for our conversation or our citizenship is in heaven, from whence or from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord Yeshua HaMashiach, who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, Notice that, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself. Notice, we live here in this world, but really we belong to heaven because here in this world the whole creation is groaning and we as believers groan with the creation, but our hope is to be with the Lord who will come to take us away from here.

And to change our vile body, our sinful falling body, to become like his own body. I want to read another verse or two in the prophets of Israel. Notice in the prophet Jeremiah. Turn with me to Jeremiah chapter 12. Three dates 605 bc 597 bc and 586 bc when the children of Israel were taken captive and they were in pain you could see that they were in pain and sorrow but notice what Jeremiah says here in Jeremiah 12 and verse 4 he is not only speaking about the children of Israel they are mourning and sighing but he's speaking about the land of Israel the land itself the piece of property of Canaan it says how long verse 4 shall the land mourn and the herbs of every field wither for the wickedness of them that were therein the beasts are consumed and the birds because they said, "He shall not see our last end." Notice this, the land is mourning, the animals are mourning, the beasts are consumed, and the birds even, because they said, "He shall not see our last end." Because of what happened, Israel were carried captive because of their disobedience.

So the land itself was affected by that. Notice verse 11 of the same chapter. It says in verse 11 of Jeremiah chapter 12, they have made it desolate. And being desolate, it mourns. Notice the word it. The land is mourning. It mourns unto me. No man layeth it to heart sin bring a desolation and sin bring a a groaning of the land and of the birds and of the of the plants and of the animals and sin bring about pain and sighing you see these beloved brothers and sisters notice in Jeremiah chapter 23 Notice what Jeremiah says there. I'm reading just a few verses as well. In verse 10, Jeremiah 23 and verse 10.

For the land is full of adulteress. For because of swearing the land mourneth. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. And the course is evil. And their force is not right amazing when you read such passages as this beloved brothers and sisters just one more verse I want to read in the prophet Hosea in chapter 4 and there in verse 3 we read Hosea said in chapter 4 and verse 3 therefore shall the land mourn and everyone that dwelleth therein shall languish be sorrowful with the beast of the field and with the fowl of the heaven yeah the fish of the sea also shall be taken away and so what we learn that the whole creation is mourning and the whole creation is groaning and again you can just imagine When God said in Genesis chapter 1, it was very good when he created the world.

Well, it did not take too long, beloved brothers and sisters, and sin came in. And when sin came in, it affected the creation of God. Affected everything. Why? Because we, because of our sin nature, had managed to mess everything. Managed to cause all sort of pain and sorrow here in this world, and affected the creation, affected the, you might say, the seas, the ocean, the lands, and everything because of sin. But now what we have learned in verses 18, 19, 20, and 21, and 22, groaning and the creation is groaning because they are waiting for the day wherein the children of God will will be manifested and as we have just read beloved brothers and sisters in Romans chapter 8 and this verse verses 18 to 22 I just want to read one more time verse 19 the earnest expectation of the creation is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God.

And then a little bit later on in verse 21, because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage and the corruption unto the glorious liberty, once again, of the children of God. Notice it's the children of God that are the ones that when the Lord will take his own to be with him. His own into the place of blessing in the future day then the creation will stop groaning so we are waiting for the day when the Lord will come and take us to be with him at home now we have just a little bit more time and if you now notice in the next verses verses 23 24 and 25 Maybe I'll take these two for the five or ten more minutes, if you'll bear with me.

In these verses 23, 24, and 25, we learn not only the creation is groaning, but the believers are groaning. We as believers groan as well. Why? Notice verse 23. Believers groan because of the fact that they are waiting, they are looking forward. For the future day. It says in verse 23, and not only they, not only the creation, Paul is saying in verse 23, but ourselves, we ourselves, Paul is saying. We also, Paul is saying, which have the first fruits of the Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit of God. We are redeemed. We are forgiven. We belong to God. We belong to the Lord Jesus. We are a redeemed people. We, because we are still here in this world, in the in a time where we are in with the Lord in glory it says also we said we also which have the first fruit of the Spirit we also have grown within ourselves waiting notice what he says waiting for the adoption of the redemption of our body you see while we have a new nature and a new life and we are suitable to be in the presence of God because of our redemption our salvation but we are still.

In this body and in this body notice we are waiting for the redemption of the body what does that mean we are waiting for the day when we will receive a glorified body and when that will take place it will take place first of all for the church it will take place at the rapture of the assembly when the dead in Christ shall rise first and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and there shall we ever be with the Lord but you notice that it says in first Thessalonians chapter 4 it says in verse first Thessalonians chapter 4 from verse 13 onward he said to them we verse 14 for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so notice that them also which.

Sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. And notice it says in verse 17, them in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. In other words, there will be a change, beloved brothers and sisters, we will receive a glorified body suitable for the presence of the Lord.

That is exactly what Paul says in 1 Corinthians chapter 15. You remember these verses? In 1 Corinthians chapter 15, Paul is saying in verse 52, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The last trump for the trump shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed for this corruption must put on in corruption this mortal must put on immortality in other words beloved brothers and sisters we shall change the dead in Messiah the believers will rise first and they will receive an incorruption body we will chain receive an incorruption body and we will be taken to meet the Lord in the air how wonderful it is to realize that the believers you and i as well who are groaning today we are grown within us of what we are waiting for we are waiting for the adoption We are waiting for the redemption, not the redemption of the soul, but the redemption of the body.

This body is still, beloved friends and dear brothers and sisters, is housing the soul and the spirit, but also housing the new man. And therefore, we are still here in this world, and that's why, remember what we are exhorted once and again. The word of the Lord to walk in the Spirit not to fulfill the lust of the flesh to live our life here to be occupied with the Lord to live for him and and to live a godly life and we are here in this body the Lord allow us to be here but this body is corruptible body we must receive an incorruptible body suitable for the presence of God shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

This body must change. It must be conformed and therefore the apostle and I think I will probably best thing will close here for this meeting today. Not only that the whole creation is groaning Romans 8 verses 18 to 22 but Romans 8 verse 23 24 and 25 and we all Touch verse 23. We ourselves do groan within ourselves and we are waiting for the adoption to which it is the redemption of our body. That's why when we did read, beloved brothers and sisters, in the book of Philippians, we read in chapter 3 that we are waiting for the time in which we will receive the conversation. Our citizenship is in heaven and we are waiting for the day that the Lord will come and he will give us a body that is suitable to be with him in heaven.

Wonderful verses that we read in chapter 3. Body according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself. So beloved brothers and sisters and dear friend as we study Roman chapter 8 is really the high note really it is at the chapter Roman chapter 8 is the highest note that we can read in the book of Romans because in Roman chapter 8 as we have already mentioned, there is no condemnation for the believers in Jesus the Messiah. There is no obligation to live in defeat anymore as believers in the Lord Jesus, in the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. And there is no need to be frustrated.

There is no frustration for the believers who allow the Spirit of God to lead him and her. Chapter 8, verse 18 to 30, but we just covered from verses 18 to verse 23.
