Shalom everyone, God bless you. Welcome to the Bible classes of the Holy Scriptures in Israel. We are very thankful to the Lord to have you with us. Our study together now is in the book of Romans. The book of Romans is such an important letter that Shaul Paul wrote to the Roman Bible. Believers and it is so valuable for us to study that letter together and it helps us to to understand this whole theme of justification by faith in the person of our Lord Jesus Yeshua the Messiah and how wonderful the theme of justification is found for us here in this letter that was written to the Roman believers I would like you please to turn with me to Romans chapter 6.

We have covered already all the way from Romans chapter 1. We've covered all the way to chapter 5. We've already had really our first session on Romans chapter 6, and this is the second session on Romans chapter 6. And in this session, I would like to read, although we're supposed to start from Romans chapter 6 12, I will read also from verse 6 onward. So please follow me, Romans chapter 6 and verse 6. Knowing this, Shaul Paul is writing to the Roman believers, knowing this, that the old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed. Should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him knowing that Christ, Mashiach, being raised from the dead, dies no more, death has no more dominion over him.

Sin once, but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Verse 11, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof, neither yield ye Verse 14 continues to say, not under the law but under grace what then shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace God forbid knowing not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey his servants he are to whom you obey whether of sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness but God be thanked that ye were the servants of sins but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you being then made free from sin ye became the servants of righteousness i speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh for as ye have yielded your members.

Servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness for when ye were the servants of sin ye were free from righteousness what fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed for the end of those things is death Verse 22 and verse 23 said, the sixth chapter, dear brothers and sisters, in the study of this very interesting section of the Word of God. Now again, beloved brothers and sisters, sometimes there are certain portions of Scripture that are not always easy to understand, and that's why we need always help from the Lord to grasp, to understand our standing before God and our state, position before God and our condition.

We need to always distinguish the positional truth from the conditional effect that exists in our lives. Paul has already mentioned, beloved brothers and sisters, in our previous portion of the book of Romans, that we, remember he began the whole book of Romans, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Messiah, for it is the. Power of God unto salvation to everyone that believers to the Jew first and also to the Greek for there in the righteousness of God revealed from faith unto faith as it is written the just shall live by faith in other words Paul says i'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ of the gospel of the Messiah and then he explained why those that believe in the Lord Jesus the Messiah of God for in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith unto faith in other words every person that came to know the Lord Jesus the Messiah is already declared by God righteous just and it is all because of his or her faith in Jesus the Messiah but we are in a section of the book of Romans chapter 6 7 and eight that deals specifically not so much with justification but it deals with the sanctification you remember again to repeat it for to help us all the five s's that the book of Roman is divided into you remember sin salvation sanctification sovereignty and service this is so helpful.

Understand and properly understand the divisions of the book of Romans. Romans chapter 1 till 3 20 is the subject of sin is presented before us. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans chapter 3 verse 21 to Romans chapter 5 to the end of the chapter 5 21 the theme of salvation is presented before us and all that have trusted in the person of the Lord Jesus are now saved they are justified they are forgiven because of our faith in our Lord Jesus the Messiah and we are now in a section from Roman chapter 6 verse 1 to Roman chapter 8 verse 39 the theme of sanctification to be sanctified to be set apart for God in our life here day by day as we walk here.

In this world. The word sanctification is very similar word to the Hebrew lekadesh or kadosh or holy. Lekadesh means to set your life for the Lord, set it apart for God, to devote one to live for God here in this world. And that is the section that we are finding ourselves in the study of the book of Romans beginning with chapter 6 to the end of chapter 8. In the previous meeting together, beloved brothers and sisters, we really covered the first 11 verses. Really, the sanctification of the believers in verses 1 to 11. And we did mention, if you remember, dear brothers and sisters, that in these first 11 verses, the Apostle Paul is really responding to questions that may be asked by someone.

Is the first question. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? You remember that's the first question. Romans chapter 6 at verse 1. Then we have the second question in Romans chapter 6 a little bit later on in verse 15. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? That will be the second question in Romans chapter 6. Then we have a third question in Romans chapter 6. In Romans chapter 6, a little bit later on, that we have here. Notice, actually, I'm reading in chapter 7. And when we have in verse 7, what shall we say then in Romans 7 and verse 7?

Is the law sin? And Paul answered, God forbid. This is Romans 7 and verse 7. The final question that we have in the book of Romans in chapter between 6, 7 and 8, it is at the end of chapter 8 where we read in verse 31, what shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? So Paul in these chapters is answering this question, what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? And in these verses, beloved brothers and sisters, we learn from verses 1 to verse 11, which we have already covered, Paul emphasized two important things. Number one, he emphasized that every believer needs to know that he has died to sin when Christ died some 2,000 years ago.

Whenever we have accepted the Lord Jesus the Messiah as our Lord, Mashiach, and Savior, we died in him. And that's why, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. Verse 2 tells us, how shall we that have died to sin live any longer therein? In the King James, you have the word, how shall we that are dead to sin, but it's more correctly to be said, how shall we that have already died positionally to sin, shall live any longer therein? And that's where he used the word to know, to know. Verse 3, know ye not that so many of us that have been immersed or put into, baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death.

And the word baptized here is immersed. It has no water baptism here. It doesn't speak about water here. The word baptizo in the Greek simply being immersed into, placed into. We have been placed into our relationship with the Lord, Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah. And because we are in him, we have died to sin positionally. That's what is the truth that we learn here from these verses. Two or three times here in the portion that we have covered already in our previous meeting notice it says in verse 6 know this that our old man is crucified with him died with him that are that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin notice verse 9 knowing that Christ In other words, what the Apostle Paul is seeking to communicate with the believers, the Roman believers, that we now, because we died with Christ, with the Mashiach, the moment we have embraced him to become our Lord and our Savior, 2000 years ago when he died for the sin of this world and everyone that is in him we are new creation all things are passed away all become new and we died in him and therefore as far as God is concerned we are new creation and therefore to live consistently.

Purposely we might say in sin is that which dishonor the Lord it's not the life of the believer and here is where we have this we need so much help from the Lord because there are two views that are being presented by godly teachers that we really have no more old nature we only have one nature because Paul said in In the book of Romans, I'm crucified with Christ. In other words, I've died with him. And God had given us a new nature, a divine nature. But how to explain? This is what he saw. We need the Lord's help. How to explain the fact that we still sin?

We still fall into sin. And John tells us if any man say that he does not sin, he's a liar. And the truth is not in him. If anyone said that he sinned not he making God a liar so how do we how do we understand that that's why we often use this expression positional truth and practical truth that's why we distinguish just to help us to understand the difference between our state and our standing let me just read something to you to a brother that we were discussing this lesson, that we were seeking the Lord's help about this, and I was thanking him for the email that he sent asking me about that, and I said just some points for us to consider.

As believers in the Lord Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, we always distinguish between the believer's positional standing and the believer's As for our standing, it can never change because we are accepted by God on the basis of the finished work of our Lord Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. Nothing can improve or deteriorate from our standing. It can never be altered. Is altogether different. Our state is constantly changing, though our spiritual state should be improved when we abide close to the Lord Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah. Once one becomes born again, a believer in the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, John 3:3 tells us that nothing can alter the believer state.

But at times we experience victory in our life here on earth, yet at times we suffer defeat. At times we experience joy, yet at times we suffer sadness. At times we experience shalom, peace in a practical way, we experience conflict why is it it is simply because as believers we have within us these two opposing natures the old Adamic human nature and the new divine nature yet as to our standing in the Lord Jesus the Messiah this fact has been settled once and for all on the cross and nothing can ever This is why the same apostle, Shaul Paul said, I am crucified with Christ, with the Messiah.

I died with the Messiah in Galatians chapter 2 and verse 2. Yet at the same time, Shaul Paul said, I die daily in 1 Corinthians 15 and verse 31b. How can this be if he only has one new nature? Which cannot sin as we read in 1st John chapter 3 and verse 9 that whosoever is born that whatsoever and whosoever is born of God does not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God how and why Paul says that he died daily that is every day if he already said that I am crucified with Christ So Scripture is clear that positionally the old man, the sin nature is crucified, is dead.

Romans 6 tells us this. And Galatians 2 tells us this. And Colossians tells us this. Let me read you these verses. Knowing this, Romans 6.6, that our old man is crucified with him, died with him. Galatians 2.2, I am crucified with Christ. Colossians 3 and verse 2, for ye are dead and your sins and your life is hid with Christ, with the Messiah in God. So it is so important to get some help from the Lord as to these truths that we are learning here in Romans chapter 6 and 7 and 8. And that's why we really need the Lord to help us to understand these beloved brothers, and sisters and that's why it is for me it is very helpful to distinguish between positional truth and practical truth to understand our our standing before God and our state here in this world when he's come to our standing Paul have already said in Roman chapter 6 and verse answering to verse 1 what shall we say then shall we continue in sin that grace may.

Paul says God forbid how shall we that have died to sin live any longer therein know ye not that so many of us that were placed into or immersed into Jesus Christ we were immersed into his death verse 4 therefore we are buried with him by being immersed to him or baptized into death that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should also walk in newness of life. And so saying all these, beloved brothers and sisters, it is important for us to distinguish between our state, that sometimes is not right in our condition, and our standing before God, our position and our condition.

That is what we are learning here in this sixth chapter. So in the first 10 verses, actually we covered the first 11 verses, but really in the first 10 verses, the apostle Shaul Paul pointed to the fact that every believer needs to know that he has already died when he accepted Christ, the Messiah, and when the Messiah died 2,000 years ago, we died in him. And then verses 6 to 10, that every believer needs to know that he should no longer serve he or she, should no longer serve sin sin is like a master and if you remember in verse 7 here we read for he that is dead is freed is freed from sin verse 8 now if we be dead with Christ we believe that we should also live with him and then verse 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more death has no more dominion no more.

Control over those that belong to the Lord Jesus the Messiah so to know to know it doctrinally to know it mentally to know it in our mind in our in our in our thoughts to know it to be clear for us as we understand what happened to us when we became believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah then you remember we've already also covered 11 as well in our previous meeting together and in verse 11 the apostle Paul emphasized not only what we are to know in our mind in our thoughts in our understanding but to also to reckon this to reckon this before our eyes in other words notice verse 11 he says now likewise reckon it reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin.

But alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. When we reckon it in our own heart, in our own eyes, we consider it true. To reckon it true. To make sure that what we read in the Word of God, and we know it in our mind clearly with the help of the Spirit of God, now to consider it true in life as we live here in this world. In verse 11, we are to reckon ourselves dead to sin, to reckon it practically. When we respond, how do we respond to Satan's attack, to the world temptation, to the lust of the desires of the flesh? To reckon it, to consider it, and to respond in a right way.

That's why verse 11 is very important. Because in verse 11 we read, likewise, just like as you are to know, that as many of you, as many of us that were immersed into Jesus Christ, we were immersed into his death. When he died, we died. When the Messiah died, you and I died. Now he is saying to reckon it true. And to reckon it in our hearts true, that means how do we react? To that which tempt us now again remember you remember when Yeshua Jesus the Messiah was in the wilderness for 40 days and 49 according to the gospels the gospel of Matthew specifically if you remember in chapter 3 when we when when Satan sought to to to to cause the Lord to fall and he tempted him and how Yeshua reacted to him He said to men shall not live by bread alone.

You shall not tempt God. You know, and in other words, he used the word of God in his reaction to the temptation of Satan. And, you know, the problem with us is we oftentimes react because we still have, you can see, obviously, if we are new creation, well, what causes us to stumble inside? Sin i mean it is obvious in each one of our life none of us no one can ever say oh i've arrived i have never seen since i became a believer in the Lord Jesus the Messiah if anyone will say it John tells us you make God a liar John tell us you speak not the truth you you are lying you don't speak the truth the truth is not in you so obviously there is a an opposing nature that constantly being, if we will let that old sin nature allow to have its own course, we will not be pleasing to the Lord.

That's why we are to feed the divine nature, the new nature to be occupied with the Lord. So to reckon it, it's something that we are to actively, with the help of the Spirit of God. Continue to lead us in a way that it is pleasing to the Lord and where as long that we are feeding on the Lord and occupied with him it will help us in our spiritual growth and i believe just to read Galatians chapter 2 and there we read in verse 19 and 20 as Paul said for i through the law am dead to the law why that i might live unto God and then he says i am crucified with Mashiach with Christ nevertheless as i i live yet not i but Christ liveth in me and the life that i now live in the flesh i live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me and when Paul says that i.

Through the law am dead to the law. What does he mean? Because the law is holy and because I am sinful violating God's law therefore the judgment upon violating God's law is death. So I through the law am dead to the law. The law condemned me but faith in Christ, faith in the Messiah provided for me life. Life because he, Yeshua, was the only one who perfectly is submitted to God's law without sin, without sin apart. And that's why, beloved brothers and sisters, with the help of the Lord, we are called to take into account in our hearts and to reckon ourselves be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You notice that? Dead to sin, alive to Mashiach. Dead to sin and its activity, alive through the Messiah. Again, the only way that one can reckon in his or her own heart and to be successfully living a life for the Lord is they as they are guided, as we are guided by the Holy Spirit of God, as we are occupied with the Son of God, with the Messiah, Yeshua, as we are reading His words, submitting to Him, and taking to heart that which happened when we have accepted the Lord. We have died in Christ. God looks at us completely as those that are seen in His Son, in the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.

The first word is knowing. The second word is reckoning. And now we are moving along. In verse 12 to verse 23, here's the third point that Apostle Paul is seeking to communicate with the believers is to make it practice, to practically walk with the Lord here in this world and not continue in sin, to live a sanctified life, to be set apart to the Lord. The believers need to yield you notice the word yield is mentioned here more than once so if we are to know in our mind and if we are to reckon in our heart yielding has to do with our will yielding has to do with our will you know when you drive on a highway to the highway you're coming from one area and you're going to merge to the highway well you have to let those that are on the highway continue yielding until you have room so you can kind of go and join the traffic yielding has to do with our will to let go and to let God to yield ourselves and again beloved brothers and sisters.

The Lord that's why galatian tells us walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh in other words yield yourself to the Lord and then if you then you will be helped by the Lord not to yield yourself yourself to the lust of the flesh to the to the will of the flesh so now notice that there are two points that we have here in verses 12 to verse 23 we cover just the first point behave how do the believer is to yield in verses 12 and verse 13 the apostle helps us to understand how the believer is to yield and then in verse 14 to verse 23 why the believer is to yield how the believer is to yield verses 12 and 13 and why the believer is called to yield to the Lord and so notice that.

In verse 12, I'm reading verse 12, Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. Notice, and I'm reading verse 13 also, Neither yield ye your members as an instrument of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourself unto God as those that are alive from the dead, Embers are instruments of righteousness unto God. Notice what Paul is saying. How the believer is to yield. Notice first of all in verse 12. Do not constantly allow sin to reign in your life. Notice I'm reading verse 12. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body. You know to reign to be a king of your body don't allow sin to have its own course in all life in your as you live here in this world if you if you just go to chapter 12 just go to chapter 12 just to connect the verse with it Roman 12 verse 1 we know this verse What he's really saying, beloved brothers and sisters, don't let verse, again I'm reading verse 11, do not allow constantly sin to reign, to be a king in your life, over your body.

You know, the temptation that exists here in this world where we have Satan is shooting darts at God's people. The world is influencing God's people. The flesh and its desire is influencing God's people. Says how how the believer is to yield don't let sin to rule and reign over your life judge it that's what he's really saying judge it as before the Lord he's saying here again i'm reading verse 11 verse 12 do not let a sin therefore reign in your mortal body that you should not as obey it and in its last in other words you see he mentioned the fact that when we obey sin, sin becomes our master.

And when we obey righteousness, righteousness becomes our master. So not to allow sin to become the one that is reigning, the word for reigning here, becoming like a ruler, a master, a king over you. Verses 19 and 20, and we know these verses. To the Corinthians, they had so many problems. In fact, the Corinthians, we might say, is a church that, reading the letters that the Apostle Paul wrote, the first Corinthians, shows us that the Corinthians allowed sin to reign over their mortal bodies. And that's why Paul had to say to them in 1 Corinthians 6 and verse 19, he said to them, what, he says, know ye know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are gods, belong to God. So when Paul is saying do not allow sin to reign in your mortal body and that the sin will master over you, he is reminding us why. Why? Simply because don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? And the Spirit of God is dwelling in the believer. You belong to God. You are not really your own. He continued to say, you are bought with a price. The price was, beloved brothers and sisters, the precious blood of our Lord Jesus the Messiah.

And that's why we are to yield, to yield ourselves to the Lord and not to yield ourselves to sin to be a master over us. To reign over us now when we do so we don't honor the Lord we displease the Lord and we are not living the victorious life of the people of God here's another verse that needs to be read in Philippians chapter 1 to this he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in heavenly places far above all principalities and power and might and dominion and every name that is named not only here in this world but also in the world to come you see what happened is when the Lord I'll read verse 19 to connect with this, Philippians 1:19.

"What is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe according to the working of his mighty power?" In other words, God worked in his mighty power in the believer to enable the believer not to allow sin to master over him. Into sin but sin is not to be our master our king not to rule over the child of God anymore and the power to enable us to do that is according to Philippians chapter 1 and verse 19 this is the exceeding greatness of God's power by the Spirit of God towards us who believe according to the working of his Mighty power. God is able to work it out in the life of His own people who are in fellowship with Him and He is able to help us as we are occupied with Him.

And God's power by the Spirit of God is enabling the believer to yield, to yield to the Lord and not to yield to sin, not to yield to sin. And when sin comes in, when we sin, what we can do, thank God for that, we can go to the throne of grace. If we confess our sins, 1 John 1 and verse 9, he's faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Praise God for the throne of grace. And you see, beloved brothers and sisters. Sometimes that's why there are there are some who say well wait a minute if i am if i have new nature and i am a new creation well how come i sin and when he or she does do sin they say well maybe i'm not saved after all but again we must always distinguish between our state and our standing our standing is once and for all here in this world and we are called to walk here in this world in a in a way that it is pleasing to the Lord now go back to Roman chapter 6 and now notice that how the believer is to yield or out to yield well notice that now in verse 13 he continue here and he says do not yield or do not give over the members of your body unto unrighteousness.

And the thought here in these verses is, do not yield, do not give over your members of your body unto unrighteousness. I'm reading verse 13 now. Neither, you notice that? He adding. Verse 12, let not sin, therefore reign in your mortal body. Then verse 13, neither yield your members, That has to do with the will. Of Gatshmanim, where he says, "Father, if it is possible, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but thine will, but I will be done." In other words, the will, our own will is related in our sin natures, the will of the flesh, the will of the world, is the will of Satan.

And we are not to let this will of ours to be controlled by sin nature, but to let our will be the will of the Lord. And I'm reading verse 13, The point is, make yourself desiring the will of God. Yield yourself unto God as those that are alive from the dead and your members as an instrument of righteousness unto God. So this is very, very important. Servants' bodies to be used for his own glory. God wants the members of our bodies to be used for his own glory. You remember just some example: God used Moses' rod in his own hand to bring the people of Israel outside of the land of Egypt by using the rod of Moses to open the Red Sea.

God used David's sling. You remember David? He took a stone in his sling. The sling in his hands he uses to defeat Goliath in Hebrew, Goliath in English. Also, we have to be careful as Paul says, to yield ourselves and to yield on us and your members, your hands, your feet. You remember what we read in the book of Isaiah concerning the feet that are running to serve the Lord and to preach the message of the gospel. Isaiah 52 and verse 7, how beautiful upon the mountain are the feet. He is a member of the body. Defeat of him that bringeth good tidings, that publish peace, shalom, that bringeth good tidings of good news, that publishes salvation and says unto Zion, Jerusalem, the Jewish people, the people of Israel, thy God reigneth.

In other words, God want his own people to yield, to yield our members and ourselves, our hearts and our members of our body for that which is an instrument of that which is righteous. And so, beloved brothers and sisters, how wonderful it is to see here, how do the believer is to yield? The believer is to yield as we get help from the Lord. And I think the Philippian verse is very important. I want to read that verse once again. In Philippians chapter 1 verse 19 to 21. And here we find out that it is God's power that enables us to yield ourselves and yield our members as an instrument of righteousness.

I'm reading once again Philippians chapter 1 and verse 19. And I'm reading this verse 19. This shall turn to my salvation through your prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. And he was speaking about the fact that because of the power of God, it's enabled him to be delivered and also to help in the deliverance. Deliverance of the power of God that enable us to win this victory. So just for these verses 12 and 13, how the believers are to yield, they are to yield to the Lord, to present your body as a living sacrifice, Romans chapter 12 and verse 1, and the Lord will enable us to walk in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, not to allow sin to reign over our body and not to allow the sin nature to take control.

So we have here how the believer is to yield. The believer is to yield with the help of the Spirit of God, knowing that our bodies, that we have been bought with a price and we belong to the Lord. Also 1 Corinthians 6, verse 19 and verse 20. Now let me move along. We have just a few more minutes. Yield. Why should we yield? Why should we yield ourselves to the Lord? Why should we yield ourselves to Jesus Christ, Yeshua the Messiah? Paul gives us the reason here in verses 14 to verse 23. The first reason, perhaps we'll just cover now, the first reason why we should yield is found in verses 14 and 15.

We are to yield to the Lord because of God's grace. Towards us verse 14 for sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but you under grace the law holy law of God condemned us the holy law of God because we have violated God's law condemned us killed us as Paul mentioned as elsewhere so because of this Because we are no longer under the law, we are under grace. God has extended His grace towards us. He has extended the grace of God towards us and therefore we are in response to God. We are to realize that we are to yield and that sin ought not to have dominion over us because we are no longer.

We are not under law, but we are under grace. Tells us in chapter 5 and verse 18. I'll read this verse. Galatians 5 and verse 18. Let me just read this verse. Paul said to the Galatians in chapter 5 and verse 18. I will read this. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. The Holy Spirit of God who would lead his own people, God will lead us we are not under the law we are under grace and therefore one of the reasons as to why we are to yield to the Lord because we're living under the grace of God we are under the chesed the grace of God under the law the law demanded justice and because we all have sinned the law would judge us and because Christ the Messiah was only one who.

Fulfilled the law and we died in him therefore we are to recognize that we are we have received the grace of God notice in verse 15 now this just perhaps will be our last verse for today in verse 15 why are we to yield and because we are not under the law and it does not that we can continue now in sin because we are not under the law he says what then and this is the verse the question the second question shall we sin because we are not under the law well Paul is saying a God forbid see some people might say well we are under grace we are no longer under the law and because God then God will extend more and more and more and more grace Paul says no he says no realize that we are not under the law we are the grace but because we are under grace we are to realize what God have done for us through Yeshua the Messiah forgave our sins the Lord was judged on our behalf.

And don't think for a moment because you are the grace that now you can continue to live. God forbid. In fact, the fact that God have extended to a sinner his grace only should motivate the believer who have accepted the Lord Jesus to seek to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord and to yield unto the Lord. Therefore, beloved brothers and sisters, these verses are very important for us as we study together the book of Romans and chapter 6. I have just for myself a few other verses. Perhaps I will read them. 1 Corinthians chapter 9 and verse 21. With the gospel be not without law to God but under the law of Christ although we are not under the law that God had given Israel because that law condemned us and judge us but we are as believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah we are not lawless but we are under the law of the Messiah and that's why it is important to understand that we are to yield ourselves unto the Lord and not to yield ourselves unto sin and the sin nature.

So again, let me close with this, beloved brothers and sisters. It's good to distinguish between the standing that we have before God, which is once and for all, when we have come to. Faith in Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah. But then the state, the state of the believer is not always in a right way, in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Sometimes, unfortunately, the state of the believer, when he or she are turning away from the Lord and not occupied with the Lord, we don't live a sanctified life. We don't live a set apart life for the Lord. And that is what the believer, in the Lord Jesus the Messiah are called to be to live a life that is set apart for the Lord so we have covered up to verse 15 for today we are called to yield our members as an instrument of righteousness unto the Lord instrument of righteousness unto God as we have it.

Verses in verse 13. So I will stop here for today with these thoughts for us. May the Lord just help us to understand this. May the Lord help us to rightly divide the word of truth and we will need his help for us every day as we study his word. And so I gather now, Father, thank you for your word. Thank you for Romans chapter 6. Blessed to us, we pray. Help us. As we are reading these passages. Help us to understand your word. We pray for we ask it in Yeshua, in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.
