Let us turn in our Bibles to the last book of the Bible, of the book of the Revelation, to the last chapter of the book of the Revelation, and to the last verses of this chapter, Revelation chapter 22. I am going to read today, dear brothers and sisters, from verse 6 to the end of that chapter. Revelation chapter 22, beginning from verse 6, and I am reading to the end of that chapter. "He said unto me, these sayings are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the Holy Prophet sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book.

And I, John, and I, John, saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel, which showed me these things. Then said he unto me, See thou, do it not, for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren, the prophets, and of them which keep the saying of this book, Worship God. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still. He which is filthy, let him be filthy still. He that is righteous, let him be righteous still.

And he that is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his work shall be. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without our dogs, and sorcerers, and homongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie, I, Yeshua, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst, come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

He which testified these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so come Lord Yeshua. The grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah be with you all. Amen. Wonderful portion to read, beloved brothers and sisters today, as we are going by the grace of God to conclude our study of the book of the revelation, of the book of Chazon. Chazon in Hebrew means the revelation, the unveiling of the person and the work of Yeshua the Messiah, where the God of our fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob wanted us to understand what Yeshua the Messiah has done, and who he is, and what he has done for us.

And so Yohanan, in the previous messages that we have taken together in our ministry meeting, Yohanan have taken us into two important views that he set before us. The first thing, if you remember, in chapter 21, in the first eight verses, he had given us a beautiful illustration of the eternal order. The eternal order, beloved brothers and sisters, takes us beyond the messianic age, beyond the thousand years reigning of the Messiah Yeshua over our people Israel and over the rest of the world. The eternal order is a time where sin will be no more. You remember what we read in chapter 21. There will be no more death, no more sorrow, no more crying, no more pain.

Deaths which came because of sin, when Adam and Eve have failed in the garden of Eden. Sin entered into this world and brought about the judgment of God. Death and weeping and sorrow and crying and pain. And in the eternal order, death will not exist anymore. And then from verse 9 of chapter 21 into chapter 22 and verse 5, beloved brothers and sisters, John Yohanan had given us a view of the heavenly Jerusalem, of the new Jerusalem, the heavenly Jerusalem that descended down from heaven. Heaven, as we read here in that chapter was wonderful, beautiful city that is described. We read of it as the city of four square.

The city of gold. The city that the names of the 12 tribes of Israel upon their gates and the names of the 12 apostles upon the foundation. And that's we read about the beautiful city of gold descending down from heaven to the earth, not on the earth, but above the earth. And here we have seen such a beautiful city of Jerusalem. And you remember we read about that city in the first verses of chapter 22. There will be there no more curse. There will be there in that wonderful city, no more night. In other words, there will be that which will be no more curse, no more night, no more darkness, no more sadness.

And the Messiah himself, God himself, will be the one that will be the light of that city of Jerusalem. God and the lamb. We read about this in the first five verses. And if you remember, we also read this beautiful verse in verse four of chapter 22. And they shall see his face. You know, Moshe wanted to see the glory of God in Exodus. God said to him, Moshe, Moses, I cannot show you my face. We read in John one, no one had seen God at any time. The only begotten of the father, this is the Messiah, is the only one that have seen God's face.

But men could not see God's face and live. But here in the eternal order, we read in verse four of Revelation chapter 22. They shall see his face. He's going to come to take us to be with him and we are going to see his face. And what a wonderful time that will be when we are going to be with Yeshua the Messiah and see his face. You know, over the generation, believers throughout the history of Israel, throughout the history of the church, of the assembly. They are longing for the coming of the Messiah, that we can be with him and no longer go through these sorrows and trials in this world.

There is a hymn that I always love to sing. And I just want to read that couple of words there from that hymn. The writer says, Soon will the master come. Soon pass away. A times of conflict, grief and suffering here. A night of weeping end in cloudless day. And sorrows moment like a dream appear. Eternity with Yeshua in the skies. How soon that sun of righteousness may rise. It's a beautiful song. Soon will the master come. Soon pass away all the trials and the sorrows that we experience here in this world. And here's the second stanza. Look what he's writing. We shall behold him whom not seen we love.

We shall be with him whom we long to see. We shall be like him. Fit for realms above. With him and like him in and for eternity. It is now our choice. As it says here. Is now to sit at Jesus' feet our choice. How will fruition then our souls rejoice. It is now that we make a choice to sit at the feet of Yeshua. And to learn from him. And to grow in him. And to follow him. But when he's going to come brothers and sisters. We're going to be with him. And like him forever. This is the hope of every believer in Yeshua the Messiah.

They shall see his face. And his name shall be in their forehead. That's where we ended in verses 4 and 5 of Revelation chapter 22. In our last ministry meeting. But today now. In the next verses. Verse 6 of Revelation 22. All the way to the end of the book of the Bible. The end of Revelation. The book of Revelation. We have an encouragement. For us who are believers. Because we know that we are going to be with Yeshua in heaven. There are certain things that the Bible gives us here in the last chapter. Of the book of the Revelation. That we are encouraged to follow through. As we follow the Lord until he is coming.

There are four things actually. That the believers are encouraged to do. Knowing what and where we are going to spend eternity. And so look what John is telling us in those next verses. In Revelation chapter 22. The first thing that we learn here. In verses 6 to 11. That knowing our destiny. Should motivate every believer to keep God's word. Because we know our destiny. To be eternally with Yeshua the Messiah in glory. We will be in time in the city of Jerusalem. In a time where sin will be no more. Because of knowing this. It should motivate every believer to keep God's word. Look at those verses 6 to 11.

Look what he says first of all in verse 6. These promises that God gave in the word are true and are faithful. Look what he says. And he said unto me, verse 6. These sayings are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy prophet sent his angel to show unto his servant the things which must shortly be done. This angel that spoke to John gave him those information concerning the revelation. The future events that are coming. Listen. Whatever I have given you to put down. This word of God. These sayings are faithful and are true. What the Old Testament Hebrew prophets wrote. We believe. Well what the New Testament writers wrote.

We also have to accept and believe it and trust it. These words are faithful as it said in verse 6. And they are true. Because if we don't believe what John put in this book of the Revelation. What makes us sure that what Moshe, Moses wrote years prior to the time of the coming of the Messiah. What makes us sure that those are the word of God. We have to trust what Moses wrote by inspiration. And we have to trust what John wrote by the inspiration of the word of God. And therefore the angel is saying to John. These words, these sayings are faithful and true.

And he continues in verse 6b. He says. And the Lord God show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. God have shown through his angel to his servants things which are shortly, soon, they are going to be done. They are going to come to pass. And if you can just imagine all what we studied in the whole book of Revelation. The church age. Chapter 1, 2 and 3. The time that we are going to heaven to see the Lord in glory. Revelation 4 and 5. The tribulation period. Chapter 6 to 19. The messianic age in chapter 20. The eternal order in the new city of Jerusalem. Jerusalem. All these were spread before us in the book of the Revelation.

And the angel is saying to John. These things are true. These things are faithful. And we are to read them and to take them to heart. It is a challenge that is giving to the believers. Notice now in the next verse. In verse 7. Actually three times in these verses that I read today. Yeshua is speaking his last audible message to the churches. To the believers. These are the last audible words of our Mashiach Yeshua. To the assemblies. To the seven churches in Asia Minor. And also to you and I today. Notice what he says in verse 7. Behold I come quickly. This is the word of Yeshua the Messiah.

He promised that he is coming quickly. Now quickly does not mean that he will come the moment he is saying those words to the apostle John. No. But as soon as the events that are written in the book of Revelation are going to start. In no time. It wouldn't take too long before the Messiah will return. Now we know very well that when Yohanan was on the island of Patmos. Receiving the book of the Revelation. It was already about 2000 years ago. So obviously 2000 years passed by. And Yeshua haven't come as yet. But what he meant here. Is not that he is coming quickly from the period of time that John received that book to write.

But from the time that the events of the Revelation will begin. Namely from the start of the taking away of the church to heaven. The tribulations period of time will start. And soon very shortly the Messiah is going to come. And look how he made that promise to the believers. Behold I come quickly. I am going to come quickly. And then notice what he says. Blessed is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book. For the believers. For the believers. For you and I. And for all believers. Early Hebrew Christians. Later on non-Hebrew believers. Came to faith in the Messiah. Each and every one of us are blessed.

As it says here. When we keep the saying of the prophecy of this book. Not only intellectually in our head. Head. To know it as our head knowledge. But knowing that the Messiah will come. Should motivate the believer. To seek to keep the saying. Of what the Lord has written for us here. In this book. Because he is coming quickly. That word for book. Is the Greek word. Biblia. That we come from. Where we say Bible in English. It simply means a book. In other words. Whatever is written in the book of the Revelation. The believers in Yeshua the Messiah. Are exhorted to keep it.

Because we see what is ahead of us. We know that we are going to be in the presence of the Lord. We are going to be in the city of Jerusalem. And we should be motivated. In our lives. To follow through. Those sayings. Of Yeshua the Messiah. All the way. Until the time. That the Lord will take us. To be with him. In glory. So when John. Heard these things. Look what happened with him. He had done something. That he had already done before. He was so overwhelmed. Remember. He is a man like you and I. Hebrew man. Jewish man. By the name of Yohanan.

Which was a believer of first century. He was one of the apostles. Early believers in Yeshua the Messiah. He was taken to the island of Patmos. Because he trusted the Messiah. And he received that revelation. So when he received his revelation. Notice in verses 8 and 9. John is falling down before the angel. He was so overwhelmed. It says in verse 8. I John saw these things. And I heard them. And when I heard. And have seen. I fell to worship before the feet of this angel. Which showed me these things. You know. You and I might accuse John. How can you fall before an angel. To worship him.

Now John was so overwhelmed. With the amount of information. The glorious information. That he received. And of course. Mistakingly. He fell. To worship. That angel. But you can see. Brothers and sisters. How beautiful the Bible is. The godly angels. The good angels. They know very well. That we cannot worship. Men. We cannot worship. Angelic being. We cannot worship. Creatures. Words. That have been created by God. That's wrong. To worship. Our people. Israel. Had to be instructed. Consistently. Throughout our history. Not. To worship. Idols. Not. To worship. Men. Made. Creatures. Only. To worship God. And that is what exactly. An angel does. He said to him.

In verse 9. Don't do that John. I am also. Your fellow servant. And of the. Brethren. The prophets. And of them. Which keep the saying. Of this book. Worship. God. John. He's saying. This angel. To him. Don't you. Worship. Me. I'm merely. A servant. Even though. I'm an angel. But I'm a serving. Angel. Not. God. There is no need. To worship. Me. John. You. Worship. God. Don't. Worship. Me. You remember. If you just. Turn back. To chapter. 19. John. Have done it. Earlier. Already. In chapter. 19. And verse. 10. We read. I fell. At his feet. And worshipped. I am. Thy. Fellow. Servant. John. Had. Twice. Told. By the.

Angel. Don't. Worship. Me. Only. Worship. God. And you know. Today. Brothers. And sisters. When men. In general. In many. Religious. Systems. Worshiping. Angels. Worshiping. Idols. We are. Never. Exhorted. Ever. In the scripture. To worship. That. Which. Is. Been. Created. By. God. Never. To. Worship. John. In. First. John. Chapter five. In the epistle. He says. Little children. Keep. Yourselves. From. Idols. Because. We. Are. By. Inclination. Like. To. Worship. Someone. Or. Something. And. If. We. Don't. Have. A. Right. Relationship. With. God. We. Began. To. Worship. In. Our. Life. But. John. Was. Exhorted. Not. To. Worship. That. Angel. By. The. Way. In. Acts. Chapter 10. They. Wanted. To. house, Cornelius fell on his face because a Jewish man came to a Gentile home to tell him the gospel of the Messiahship of Yeshua.

And he fell before him. And Peter said, get up, get up. You cannot worship me. You worship only God. The Messiah is the son of God. We have to focus on him, but not on men or not on any creature of God. And so John needed to learn that lesson. And Peter taught Cornelius that lesson. And we need to learn that lesson. We are only to direct our worship unto God, not unto creature, whether he is an angel or whether he is a man. And so now in verse 10, we find out that John was exhorted not only not to worship the angels, but to keep this book that he received, not to seal it, to keep it open.

Look what he says in verse 10. And he says unto me, seal not the saying of the prophecy of this book. Why? Because the time is at hand. Now John, Yohanan, was exhorted by the angel not to seal the prophecy of this book. Why? The time is at hand. Keep it open. In other words, make it available for men to read it and to understand what is yet coming ahead of us in the future. But if you remember Daniel, when he was in Babylon and he received that special revelation from the Lord through the Lord through the angel, the Hebrew prophet Daniel was told by the angel to seal the book in Daniel chapter 12.

Because the time was not yet ahead. God in his wisdom, knowing the restoration of Israel is going to come, the Messiah will come, Israel will not accept the Messiah in his first coming. The church age will come to fruition. But now the apostle John is exhorted not to seal the saying of the book, but to allow this to be remained and open for men to be able to read that book and to learn from that. Just for a moment, turn to Daniel chapter 12. I want you to see that verse there. Daniel chapter 12 in verse 4. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end.

Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel chapter 12 in verse 4. See, Daniel was told by the angel to seal this book. Why, he says, to seal it until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro. You know, that's why it is amazing that many try to find out truths in the Tanaach. And without the Brit HaChadasha, the New Testament, they run to and fro, pouring over the scripture, seeking to find information concerning events of the end. And it cannot properly be understood without the new covenant, the Brit HaChadasha. It is real for us, and I'm speaking for myself as a Jewish man.

It is real for us, for my grandparents and others in my family, who were pouring over the scripture, trying to find out about the coming future. And there is something is missing, and the link is found in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. That's why Peter said, also in his epistles, if you remember, that the prophets of Israel longed to know the time, and the time of the Messiah, and when he is going to come. And they were searching the scripture. But apparently, beloved brothers and sisters, until the Messiah have come, there was a missing link, because the scripture prophesied concerning the coming of the Messiah.

But when the fullness of time have come, and the Messiah have come, then the information that we have included in the Brit HaChadasha, in the new covenant, is helping us to understand the purposes and the plans of God in a fullest sense of the word. And so in verse 10, John was exhorted not to seal those sayings, and in verse 11, we read here of that challenge to mankind in general. He's saying, he that is unjust, let him be unjust. Still, still. He that is filthy, let him be filthy still. Him that is righteous, let him be righteous still. And he that is holy, let him be holy.

Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, positionally. They are to just continue faithfully on, to follow what the instructions that are given to us in the word of God. The unbelievers, the ones that are filthy, as he's calling them here, and unjust, they will continue in their ways. Because there's going to come a time where God is going to reveal the truth. Those that have accepted the Messiah, who became just because of Yeshua the Messiah, and those who rejected the Messiah, who are still unjust because their sins haven't been cleansed and washed away. They will continue in their way. They will continue in their way. They will continue in their path, each one, and the time is going to come when God is going to reveal to us what have happened with those that have acknowledged Yeshua the Messiah, and how they have received sins forgiven.

So, here's the first verses. Knowing the future that is ahead of us should motivate the believer to continue on and keep God's word. That's what it says to us today, as we read those verses 6 to 11. But he doesn't stop here. He's saying, okay, you and I have accepted Yeshua the Messiah. The second thing that he is challenging the believers here today is that knowing our destiny, verses 12, 13, and 14, should motivate us to serve the Lord. Not only to keep his word, but also to serve him as servants of the Lord. It's not limited to a few individuals, but it is encompassing every believer in Yeshua the Messiah.

And it is always connected with the coming of Yeshua the Messiah. Look what he's saying now. Here is again one of the last audible words of Yeshua the Messiah to the churches, to the assemblies, to the congregation. First of all, in verse 12, again he's promising that he's coming quickly. Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his work, as his work shall be. Here's again, brothers and sisters, another motivation for the believer to serve the Lord. He's coming. The Lord's going to come quickly. He's going to come very soon. And we do not want to come to his presence empty-handed.

He says, listen, I have a reward. When I'm going to come, I'm going to give a reward. You remember what we said, brothers and sisters, that when it's come to our salvation, there is nothing that we can do. We are brought to the table only our sin and sins. But when it comes to our life here, until he takes us home, or until he comes, it has everything to do with how do we live our lives for him. We are going to be standing before him in the judgment seat of the Messiah. And he's going to view our lives with us. And he's going to ask us, how did we live our lives?

How did we spend our energy, our resources, our gifts, how did we spend our lives here as believers? And he wants us to serve him. So we will come to him as if it were always a basket full of things that we have done for him. That's the beautiful thing. And that's why he says the second time here, behold, I come quickly. I'm coming. And he says, I have rewards with me to give to every man. Notice how specific. Not to give only to all. Yes, all going to be rewarded in one way or another. But to every man, or we can add here, to every woman, every person, I'm going to give them a reward according to the work that it shall be.

In other words, how did we live our life? How did we serve him here in this world? We are going to receive a reward. If we have done something for him, he's going to reward us. And we are going to use the rewards in the messianic age, in the kingdom age, when Israel is restored, when the world have accepted the Messiah of Israel. And the church, the heavenly company, going to receive a reward to use in the messianic age. But it is always in view of his coming quickly. Let me ask you a question. If you know that the Lord is coming today, before we end the meeting, don't you think we will change drastically knowing that the Messiah is coming today?

We will do things different. Our plans will be different. Our objectives are going to be different. We are waiting for the coming of the Messiah. If he comes today, we will prepare ourselves for the coming of the Lord. We will set things in order. We will not leave things in order because the Lord is coming. We will set things right. If we have done something wrong, we'll confess it to others. If we know we are planning and doing things that are not right, we will change our plans. Because the Messiah, Yeshua, is coming. And therefore, the service for the Lord should be coming out of our hearts because he's going to reward us.

And that's why he's saying here, I'm coming quickly and I have a reward to give you. We know it very well when we work in a job that we have and we know that our boss is coming today to visit to see how we have been doing. We'll clean up the table. We'll make sure that everything is clean because my employer is coming to see how am I doing. And so we'll set ourselves ready. And beloved brothers and sisters, we should be in anticipation of the coming of the Messiah. And we should recognize that he's going to reward us. Recently, I was watching a show with my dear wife, Irene, a show about a boss that is going to his factories with a pretension that he's just coming to be hired to get a job.

And he's coming to his own factory, searching for a job. And they give him a job and he's starting to work the next day. And he's the owner. He's a big boss. But he's coming to work like one of the employees. And it was really moving because some of the employees were faithful. They show him how they work, how they pick up the boxes and they put things in the boxes and they get things ready. And then how they put it on the trucks and they deliver it. They showed him and he went along and he saw, boy, these people are working very hard. They are faithful workers.

A few months later, he made an appointment with the very same workers that he worked for them and invited them to his office. And they do not know. They only know that it is the CEO calling them to come to his office. And they come to the office. And what do they see? The very same men that they train on the job sitting behind the table as the CEO. And they are shocked because he's the one. They just trained him on the job a few weeks or months ago. And then their boss, you know, it brought me to tears. Because the very boss said to them, you know, I see how you work hard.

And I see your faithfulness. And I see that you have a problem at home. And he said, you know what? I'm going to give you a scholarship for your children for school. And I'm going to give you a time with your wife alone for vacation because you have been faithful. And, you know, when you think about it, brothers and sisters, what will the Lord say about me, about you, when we're going to stand before him one day? Can he say, well done, good and faithful servant? You know, it is amazing when you think about it because the Lord is coming. He is going to reward us for all what we have served him here in this world.

And it is worthwhile to serve the Lord in this world until he is going to come to take us to be with him at home. And that's why he said, I'm coming quickly to encourage the believer to continue faithfully in his service. Look what we read in verse 13. He says, I am the Alpha and the Omega. I am the beginning and the end. I am the first and the last. It is such an encouragement in service. He says, listen, I know the beginning and I know the end. I am that beginning and I am the end. I know your pathway. I know everything that you are doing.

And encouraging the believer to continue faithfully. You know, in the Lord's work, there are many discouragements here in this world. It's not only for the church, for believers in the church age. Look at our forefathers. Look at Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Abraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov. Look at Moshe. He served God when the people of Israel, when our own people rejected him. When they were not happy with him many times. Look at Jeremiah. They threw him into the pit. Look at Isaiah. Just look at the history of the servants of God who were misunderstood by even their own people. But here he said, I am the beginning and the end.

I am the Alpha and Omega. I am the one that is the first and the last. It was the Apostle Paul who said in Philippians chapter 1 and verse 6, being confident of this very thing that he which had begun a good work in you will perform it unto the day of Yeshua, the Messiah. The Lord is faithful. We are not faithful. The Lord is consistent. We are not consistent. And that's why the encouragement here, brothers and sisters, is to simply look to him and get encouragement from him and encourage each other to look to him because he promised that he is coming and there is a reward to give to those that have been faithful.

And he is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the first and he is the last. And look at this in verse 14, serving and obeying is the evidence of being belonged to him as well. Look, verse 14, blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city. You know, the evidence that we belong to him is obedience to him. Yes, we fail. Yes, sin comes, creep in very quickly into the life of the believer. But confessing and repenting and saying, Lord, I fail you here. I'm repenting and continuing on, he says, they are blessed, those people.

They do his commandments and they may have a right to the tree of life. You remember, etz ha-chaim, as we read it in Genesis chapter 2 and chapter 3. The tree of life that we read of in the earlier history of the human race is where Adam and Eve did not eat from it. They chose, instead of eating from etz ha-chaim, from the tree of life, to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree that they were forbidden to eat from. And sin came in. But now, because the Messiah came, who is the fulfillment of the tree of life. He is the one that gave life.

He is the one that the tree of life is typifies. He says, those that are obeying the word of God, they are blessed, they do his command. They may have right to the tree of life. And that they may enter through the gates into the city again. That city here is what we read earlier in our chapter. Chapter 21 and the beginning of chapter 22 is the city of Jerusalem, the heavenly city of Jerusalem. So, the right to enter into the city and the right to eat of the tree of life is proven by those who have trusted the Messiah. And they are living now for him.

Now, they do his commandments. And then this is shown to us that they have a right to the tree of life. So, the second thing that we are exhorted here in Revelation chapter 22, first of all, we are motivated to keep God's word, verses 6 to 11. And secondly, we are to be motivated to serve our Lord Yeshua, verses 12, 13, and 14. Let's move on. In verses 15 and 16, we have the third thing that we are exhorted to do. And these are verses that are mentioned here in verses 15 and verse 16. Knowing our destiny should motivate us to be a separated people unto Yeshua. To live a separated life. Not a sectarian life, but a separate life unto him.

Meaning that we are devoting ourselves to him as we live our life. And that is something that every believer in every generation was exhorted to do. Look at this, verses 15 and 16. First of all, in verse 15, all unbelievers will find themselves outside of God's presence in eternity. They will not be with him anymore. Now, look, it says, for without, this is outside of that city of Yerushalayim, for without are dogs, sorcerers, whor-mongers, murderers, idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Now, you notice it's interesting that he used the word dogs first. And the word dogs in Scripture oftentimes had a reference to unbelievers. Historically, you remember, even Yeshua said in his earlier, in the Sermon on the Mount, he says, don't give that which is the truth to the dogs.

Dogs representative those who are without. Later on, you remember, we read in Scripture actually many times that the word dogs often speak of dogs which are without. Now, I mean, today we have dogs that are all inside. We have a dog and he's inside. He's not outside. He has a good time. He has a very good dog. But nevertheless, dogs by nature in Scripture are called to be without. A picture of that which is without. It is representation of unbelievers. Let me just read quickly, Matthew. Can you turn for a second to Matthew chapter 7? Yeshua and the Sermon on the Mount. When he was in Galilee, in the Galil, he said these words in verse 6.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs. Neither cast ye your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend them. Go a little bit further in chapter 15 of the Gospel of Matthew. Verse 26. Again, the Lord is speaking. This time he's speaking to the woman. And you remember what he said to her in verse 26? But he answered her and he said, It is not meant to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs. Now, what he meant by that, because prior to the Messiahship of Yeshua coming to this world to give his life, the nation of Israel were a separated nation.

And the nations of the world who worship idols looked as if like the dogs were without. And so this woman coming to him and she said she was so much taken by him and she wanted so much that he will accept her, that he will minister to her because she had a need. And the Lord said to her, No, it is not meat for the children's bread to be cast into the dogs. And then, look how beautiful, she said to him, Lord, true. In other words, even those little puppies or the little dogs, they would still eat from their master's table for the crumbs. She wanted so much that which Israel as a nation have always had because of their relationship to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

And she was a non-Hebrew and she wanted to give me just the crumbs. Because I'm without, I'm outside. You see, brothers and sisters, but now in this dispensation of the church age, Jewish believers in Yeshua and Gentile believers in Yeshua, we are all within as part of the assembly of God, part of the family of God. But the unbelievers are without. And this thought can be applied whether it is a Jewish unbeliever or a non-Jewish unbeliever who are without salvation, without the knowledge of the person of the Mashiach, without forgiveness of sins. And so now he's saying in verse 15, those that are without are dogs and sorcerers and whomongers and murderers and idolaters and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Those are the ones that are without. But the believers are called to be separated unto God, unto the Lord. That's what he's saying now in verse 16. Look what he's saying beautifully. I, Yeshua, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches or in the congregation. These are the seven churches of Asia Minor that we have began in the book of Revelation with, which are representative of all the assemblies of true believers around the world, to have a testimony to them. And then he says to them, look how beautiful, I am the root and offspring of David, and I am the bright and morning star.

I love that expression that we have in the scripture. This is a wonderful expression. Notice there are three things in verse 16. The first thing he says, I am the root. The second thing he says, I am the offspring. And the third thing he says, I am the bright and morning star. It's interesting to see because we have from the root to the star. The root represents that which is hidden. It's underneath the ground. The star represents that which is seen and visible. What the Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, tells us here, because again, this is one of his last audible words to the earlier churches. And to you and I today, I am the root and offspring of David.

That's the first thing to look at for a moment. The root is that which is the source out of which David came from. The offspring suggests to us that he is that which came out of David. That takes us to the two sides of the promises of God to Israel concerning the coming of the Messiah. For a moment, turn with me to Isaiah chapter 11. In verse 1, every Shabbat meeting where we gather together, we are reading this text in Isaiah chapter 11 concerning the Messiah. In chapter 11 and verse 1, it says this. Look what Isaiah prophesying concerning the coming of the Messiah. He said, Look at verse 10. Look at verse 10.

And in that day shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand as an ensign of the people. To it shall the Gentiles seek and his rest shall be glorious. Here is the root of Jesse. The Lord Yeshua has called it the root of David. In other words, David came out of the root. The root of David is none else but Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah. In other words, he is David's Lord. Not only he came out of the family of David, but he is the one that is David's Lord. He is the root of David. Psalm 110 tells us in verse 1, The Lord said unto my Lord.

David said that. Sit down on my right hand until I make thy enemies thy footstool. Psalm 110 and verse 1. David is speaking. He says, Jehovah, the Lord, said unto my Lord, my Messiah, my Master, sit down on my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool. So Yeshua, the Messiah, is David's Lord. He is David's root. David came out of Yeshua, the Messiah. He caused him to grow, to be brought into such a favored place from the house of Jesse. David the king was chosen by God. But Messiah, Yeshua, is the root of David. But not only the root of David. Notice that. He says, but I'm also the offspring of David.

I'm a descendant of David. In other words, when Yeshua came to this world, I am a descendant of David. Now please, for a moment, go to the Gospel of Matthew again. I want you to see that so it will be clear for all of us. Matthew chapter 1. You know, many times we as Jewish people, when we are waiting for the Messiah, we are waiting for Mashiach ben David, Messiah, son of David. Well, why do we have this expression? Because we know from the Hebrew Scriptures that David is the father, in a sense, the Messiah, will come out of David. The Messiah is the offspring of David.

Well, look what Matthew tells us in chapter 1, in verse 1. The book of the generation of Yeshua, the Messiah, son of David, son of Abraham. You know, before I became a believer in Yeshua, I never wanted to read the Brit HaChadasha, the New Testament. But when I began to read the New Testament, this is the first verse in the Brit HaChadasha that I read. And what do you read? I thought it was not a Jewish book at all. I thought the Brit HaChadasha, the New Testament, is a Gentile book. It's not for us Jewish people. Well, look what we read. The book of the generation of Yeshua, the Messiah, Ben David, Ben Abraham, the son of David, and the son of Abraham.

That is so precious to see that, beloved brothers and sisters. In Matthew chapter 9, just turn a couple of pages, verse 27. Look what we read there. When our people Israel were waiting for the coming of the Messiah, Matthew chapter 9, and verse 27, when Yeshua departed hence, two blind men followed him, and they cried, and they said, Son of David, son of David, have mercy on us. They knew that he was a descendant, the offspring of David, Melech Israel, David, the king of Israel. He's the offspring of David. Not only that he's the root of David, he's the offspring of David. Chapter 12 of Matthew. There we read in verse 23.

We read there in these verses, look at this. And all the people were amazed. And they said, Is not this the son of David? Is not this Ben David, the son of David? See, our people Israel understood in a small measure that he is the descendant, the offspring of David. I've got to read you one more verse in chapter 22 of Matthew, because this is really the climax about the son of David, where the Pharisees, the leaders of our people Israel, in chapter 22. Look at this, the struggle that they had to go through in recognizing him, the Messiah Yeshua, as a descendant, as the offspring of David.

Chapter 22 of Matthew, verse 41. And while the Pharisees were gathered together, Yeshua asked them, What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he? They said unto him, The son of David. You see, Israel's spiritual leaders know very well that Yeshua the Messiah is a son of David, that he is a descendant of David. So the Messiah will be the son of David. He said unto them in verse 43, How then does David in spirit call him Lord? Saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool. And then he said, If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

You see the dilemma that we have here? We see in this truth concerning the offspring, the root and the offspring of David, we have these two elements of he is David's Lord, but he is David's son. He is David's Lord in his divine nature. He is David's son in his human nature. He is David's Lord because he is the creator God who became a man. But he is David's offspring because he was born to the virgin Miriam and he entered into this world out of the family of David, of the tribe of Judah. This is amazing to get a hold of. So Yeshua is saying here in these verses at the end, this is one of the last audible words of Yeshua the Messiah to the early believers where he said to them, I am the root and offspring of David.

And here, brothers and sisters, he doesn't stop here. In the next statement here in verse 16, he adds that something that is very precious as well. He says, I am the bright and morning star. You know that the morning star always appears at the darkest time of the night. The morning star is the first star that appears before the break of the day. And the morning star is a picture to us of the Messiahship of Yeshua as the promise of his return to come for the heavenly company, for the church to take the heavenly company, Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua to be taken out of this scene in the midst of darkness.

The morning star is the first star that appears before the dawn of the day. And what he's really saying to us, really, in this verse, he's really saying to us that we are to anticipate his coming and to live a separated life for him because he's coming soon. He is the morning star in relationship to the church. He is the morning star. But in relationship to our people, Israel, he is called in the Tanakh the son of righteousness. Can you please turn to Malachi? Malachi in Hebrew. This is the last book of the Tanakh. The last book of the Old Testament. The Tanakh in chapter 4.

This is the last chapter also. God said to Israel our people of old in chapter 4 in verse 1 and 2. This is the last words of the Tanakh of the Old Testament before we have the Brit HaChadasha, the New Testament. For behold, the day cometh, verse 1, that shall burn as an oven and all the proud and all that do wickedly shall be stubble. And the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name, speaking to Israel, shall the Son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings. And ye shall go forth and ye shall grow up as calves of the stall and ye shall tread down the wicked and they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

You see, brothers and sisters, we have here these two aspects of the coming of the Lord. For the church, he is the one that is called the morning star. For Israel, our nation Israel, he is called the Son of righteousness which will come with healing in his wings. He will restore Israel to himself at the end of the tribulation period. but for the church, he is going to come as the morning star before the tribulation will even begin to take us out of here to be with him for eternity. So, how precious we have here these two elements of the coming of the Lord. He is the morning star for the church and he is the Son of righteousness for the nation of Israel.

Well, let's conclude now quickly at the end of these verses in Revelation chapter 22. the last verses, verse 17 to 21 are the final verses of the scripture. And in these verses we are exhorted now, knowing our destiny, that we are going to go to the presence of God, to the new city of Jerusalem. It should motivate us to expect Yeshua, the Messiah, coming and return at any time. This is verses 17 to 21. These are the final verses that are found in the word of God. Look at this. Verse 17, first of all, the call of the spirit and the bride to the coming of the Lord. Look, verse 17a, and the spirit and the bride say come.

Notice the spirit, it's the holy spirit of God. The bride is the bride of Christ, the bride of the Messiah. This is the heavenly company, the church, the present day dispensation believers. Both the Holy Spirit as well as the church, the assembly, are calling for the Lord Yeshua to come. Come, Lord, come, we long to be with you, we long to see you, come, Lord. But not only that, the second thing, let him that hear us say come. In other words, the believers, when we hear the word of God, we can look to the world without, and we can invite people, come, come to know the Lord, come to accept the Messiah, Yeshua, as your Lord and Savior.

And then here's the third invitation in verse 17, let him that is thirsty come, and whosoever let him take of the water of life freely. There's an invitation, the spirit, and the bride, tell Yeshua, please come, take us to be with you. Those of us who believe us, we can invite unbelievers in this world, and we say, come, come to the Lord, come to know your sins forgiven. And those people in the world, the unbelievers are being invited by the Lord, when he's saying to them, come, and if you are thirsty, come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely. you know, there are many, many, we can say the world is thirsty today to find out the right way to God.

Many thirsty, apparently they're trying to quench their thirst, not in the right fountain, they try to quench their thirst elsewhere, in religious system, in pleasure of this world, in alcohol, in sex, in all kind of things that they find the sick to try pleasure in this world, and they don't find that pleasure. The pleasure of the Lord providing for us is coming to him, whosoever is thirsty, come to me and take of the water of life freely, without to pay any price, because the price already have been paid. And now he's telling them in verse 18 and 19 there is a final warning not to add and not to take away from the words of this book.

Look what he says, For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of this prophecy, of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of this book, of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his parts out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book. There is a warning not to take away and not to add. Unfortunately, we see certain groups that are adding to God's word.

There is the book of this and there is the book of that, the book of the moment and other books that people add, religious systems add to the word of God and God warns us. He warns Israel in Deuteronomy 4 not to add or not to take away. He's warning today not to add to the word of God and not to take anything away from the word because if someone does that, he says he will put upon that person the plagues that are written here in this book. Or if someone takes away, he will take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book.

If someone take away anything out of the words found in this book, God said that he will take away his life out of the holy city and out of the blessings that are written here in this book. So there is a warning here to be very careful to not add or not to take away anything out of this word of God. Read Deuteronomy 4 verse 2. Read Proverbs 30 verses 5 and 6. We are exalted elsewhere in the Tanakh as well. Not to add and not to subtract, just to keep, to adhere, not to add anything or subtract out of the written word of God that has been given unto us here.

And since it is the last book of the Bible, there is nothing to add to it. There is nothing to subtract from it. This is the totality of the canon of scripture here in Revelation chapter 22. And final, brothers and sisters, in verse 20 and verse 21, Yeshua promised his third time that he is coming quickly. Notice that. Verse 20, He which testified these things says, surely I come quickly. This is the third time in the last chapter that he promised to come quickly. He is coming at any time. He is coming as soon as these things start to take its course. He is going to come. And then he concludes Amen, even so come Lord Jesus.

Do you wish the Lord to come? And he will end all that is going on here in this world. The trials, the sorrows, the wars, the hatred, the friction, the sin, all that which is going on in this world. When the Lord will come, he will set things in order. So there is a prayer for us to say, even so, come Lord Yeshua, come and take us to be with you. Come and have your rightful place here in this world. And finally, the conclusion of verse 21 is the last verse where it says, the grace of our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, be with you all. Amen.

Do you know we need grace? Without grace we cannot go. We need grace of our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, for every day of our life. We need the grace for work, for home, for school, for meetings, for fellowship, for friends, for everything. we need grace to sustain us, to encourage us, to keep on keeping on until the Lord will come and take us to be with him at home. I'm finally reading these words. soon will the Master come, soon pass away, our times of conflict, grief, and sufferings heal, our night of weeping end in cloudless day, and sorrows moment like a dream appear, eternity with Yeshua in the skies, how soon the sun of righteousness may rise.

May the Lord Yeshua the Messiah come soon so we can be with him for eternity. Can you say amen to that? Amen. Well, with this, brothers and sisters, we concluded this long journey of our study of the book of the Revelation. May the Lord bless this to all of us today.
