Shabbat Shalom, everyone. Can you please turn with me to the book of the Revelation today? And we are going to begin today dealing with Revelation chapter 21. And I'm going to read today the first eight verses. Revelation chapter 21 from verse 1 to verse 8. We are going to be dealing with the eternal order, the eternal state. So let's read Revelation 21 verses 1 to 8. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. For the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write, for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whomongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. We'll stop here with the reading today in Revelation chapter 21. And before we are going to begin to look at those verses, if you remember, we just finished in our last ministry meeting to deal with chapter 20 of Revelation.

And we have always looking back to see what we have covered so far. And in Revelation chapter 20, we have learned that the length of the kingdom age that had been promised to our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants, the length of that kingdom, messianic kingdom age, will be 1,000 years long. They themselves did not know that. They received the promises from God that there will be a messianic kingdom where the Messiah will reign, where the promised Messiah of Israel will reign, and Israel will be restored. And truly, we have looked at chapter 20, and we saw the nation is restored. There is a worship of the Messiah.

The length of the time that he will reign will be 1,000 years, and Satan will be bound for those 1,000 years. Then we learn, as we have covered, chapter 20, that at the end of the kingdom age, which the Hebrew prophets also did not know, how will the end come to pass? And then John, Yohanan, received the revelation on the island of Patmos from the glorified Messiah, how will the kingdom age will end? And what did he tell him at the end of the 1,000 years? Satan is going to be loosed. As it says in Revelation 20, verse 7 and 8, it says he's going to be loosed for a season out of his prison, and he shall go out, and he will deceive all the nations, which are from the four quarters of the earth.

And they will gather together to a battle against God's people, against Israel. And ultimately, God will come, as we read here in this verse 9, and a fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured all those that came against the beloved city of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel. And the kingdom will end with a total destruction of the enemies of God and ultimately those that rejected God, including, of course, here, the devil and all the beasts, going to be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. And there it says, they shall be tormented forever and ever. That's how we more or less concluded in our last ministry.

In addition to that, brothers and sisters, we also talked about the great white throne judgment, which we have in chapter 20 and verse 11 to the end. And that is the last judgment. It's called the great white throne judgment. And there all the unbelievers from every generation in human history will be resurrected and situated before the one who sits upon the throne, the Messiah, Yeshua himself. And they will be judged by him according to their works. And he will, in a sense, beloved brothers and sisters, will take that DVD and play it before them. And he will show them how they had opportunities to accept him. And they rejected him.

And they despised him. And they did not want to make things right with God. And they will also, as it says in the scripture at the end of chapter 20, They will also, whosoever was not found, written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire. And that's how the millennial age, the messianic kingdom ended. And ultimately, all unbelievers have been cast into the lake of fire. Satan was there. The false prophet, the counterfeit Messiah was there. All ultimately, all ultimately, are going to be cast into the lake of fire. And then, we have between chapter 20, verse 15, to chapter 21, where we just began our reading today, we have right now, introducing before us, the eternal state.

Now, the eternal state goes beyond the kingdom age. The kingdom age is 1,000 years long. Israel will live in a wonderful utopia, in a wonderful time of shalom, of peace. But we learned from the passage that we have talked about last time, that even though there will be 1,000 years of the messianic reign here, where Yeshua will reign, sin will still occur. Death will still come upon those who will not become believers in the Messiah. It will be a great and wonderful age, but even that is still an age that is, in some way, is an imperfect age. By the time now we come to the end, the last two chapters of Revelation, here we have an introduction.

We are coming to what is known to be the eternal order, the eternal state, the eternal time, like we read in the book of Psalms, from eternity to eternity, thou art God. God, the eternal God, is right now showing to us what it's going to be like in the eternal order, where sin will no longer exist at that time. I'm going to mention a few more things, if you want to write this down for yourself. What we find here in Revelation chapter 21 is exactly in contrast of what we have experienced by the first creation. You notice it says in verse 1 of chapter 21, and I saw a new heaven and a new earth.

Now think with me for a moment. When God created the heaven and earth in Genesis chapter 1 and verse 1, He created it for the pleasure of man. And here in chapter 21, we don't see the first creation, but we see the new creation. Revelation chapter 21 and verse 1, we have the creation of the new heaven and a new earth. In the book of Genesis, we saw the creation of the sun. While in the book of Revelation chapter 21, there will be no need for a sun. In Genesis chapter 1 and verse 5, we saw that God called the light to show through, to come forth. In Revelation chapter 21 and 22, there will be no need for light, because there will not be any night there anymore.

In Genesis chapter 1 and verse 10, the seas were created. But in Revelation chapter 21, there will be no more sea. Again, back to Genesis chapter 3, we read of the proclamation of a curse. But in Revelation chapter 21 and 22, there will be no longer curse. In Genesis chapter 3 and verse 19, because of sin, death came into this world. In Revelation chapter 21, there will be no more death. In Genesis chapter 3 and verse 24, man was cast out of the garden, lest he will eat of the tree of life. In Revelation chapter 21 and 22, the tree of life is presented before man again, and man can feed of the fruit of the tree of life.

In Genesis chapter 3 and verse 17, the sorrow and pain have entered into this world because of sin. In Revelation chapter 21 and 22, there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, because sin will totally be removed. And so you see what we have in Genesis in the beginning, the first creation, and here what we have in the new creation, totally different eternity that we have here in Revelation chapter 21. And so let's look at those verses, verse by verse, and we'll see what the Lord is teaching us here concerning the future eternal state in eternal order. First of all, notice in verse 1 and 2, that there is a complete new heaven and earth that we must even distinguish this from the creation of the heaven and earth that we have in the prophet Isaiah.

Look what it says here. And I'm reading verse 1, and I saw, John is saying, a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Now, when we did our reading earlier, we read from 2 Peter chapter 3, and maybe for a moment, if you don't mind, turn with me back to 2 Peter chapter 3. And there the apostle Peter was speaking to those who are mocking and laughing God and God's people.

And he said to them, if you remember, if you remember, in 2 Peter 3, and we begin from verse 3, he mentioned there, there are some who will come, knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days, scoffers, walking after their own lusts. And they will say, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. Peter is writing, it says, For they are willingly ignorant, that by the word of God the heavens of old were made, and the earth standing, and in the water, whereby the world that then was, this is the past world in the flood, before the flood, being overflowed with water, perished.

That is the past world that he is talking about. But then he says, he continues, and he says, listen, But the heavens and the earth which are now, that was Peter saying at the time that he was preaching to his people Israel, He says, by the same word, they are kept, and they are in store, preserved unto fire, against the day of judgment, and perdition of ungodly men. This is the present day world in which we live in. But then you notice what he says in verse 12. He continues, and he is looking forward to a future day when there will be new heaven and new earth.

And he says, looking and hastening unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless, he says in verse 13, we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. The apostle Peter, when he was preaching to the early first century believers, he says, look, there was a creation of God that God had judged with the flood. That's the past world. There is a present world in which we live in today is reserved for judgment of fire. That's the present world. But there is a future coming, that there will be a new heaven and new earth.

And then he adds, where righteousness will dwell. In a sense, he even go beyond the millennial age, because in a millennial age, righteousness will reign, not dwell, because there will still be sin. But he's taking us to the eternal order. And he says there will be a time in which righteousness will dwell, where sin will no longer have its own way, where death will be removed. This righteous age, where righteousness not only will reign, but will dwell. And I'm back now to Revelation chapter 21. John is looking, and he sees from the island of Patmos, he sees by revelation a new heaven and a new earth.

Why he sees it, because the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, completely removed, passed away. And then he says, and there was no more sea. Beloved brothers and sisters, if you remember that when God had created the world, remember that we read in scripture that the spirit of the Lord was hovering over the face of the waters. This is Genesis 1, verses 1 and 2. We find out that there was chaos after the creation of the first heaven and the first earth. Why? Because between verse 1 and verse 2, the fall of Satan was there. And the fall of Satan brought chaos to this world. And then God had to recover this world and put it back in order.

And what we find out in Genesis 1 and on how God, the sea, were already in existing and he had to remove the waters so the earth can be revealed. What we find out that the sea became a part of a separation, causing a separation. Sometime when we are talking to somebody and we say, listen, I'm going to travel overseas. Why are you traveling overseas? Because the sea separating between me and my family, between friends and families, the seas became a separation. But in the eternal order, we find out that God totally removed the sea. There will be no more sea. It doesn't mean that there will be no water, but it simply means that there will be no separation.

No distances, whether it is physical distances or spiritual distances. You know how often we say to ourselves, I would love to be able to go to visit my family, to see my mom, my dad, my brother, my sister, my friend. But they are living so far overseas. I got to go so far to get to them. Well, the sea became symbolically also a separation between nations, between families, between people, between those that are dear to us. In the eternal state, in the eternal state, in the eternal order, there will be new heaven, new earth, the first earth, and the first heaven have fled away, passed away, and there will be no more sea, no more separation.

That's what's so dear to the hearts of us today, those of us who believe in Yeshua, the Messiah, and going to be in the presence of the Lord, will no longer need to be separated from those that we love. And of course, the ones that will be, there will be only those that have trusted the Lord, Yeshua, the Messiah, believers. And then again also, you notice that in verse 1 and 2, that not only that there was no more sea, it tells us immediately in verse 2, that John continued to see, and what does he see now in verse 2? He see the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of God, out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Now you notice that the new Jerusalem, it is in contrast with the old Jerusalem, the new Jerusalem was not created, the city of Jerusalem, the new Jerusalem, it is a city of God, it is the heavenly Jerusalem, and John sees that holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven. You know, sometimes when we talk about heaven, you know, sometimes when we talk about heaven, we think about, oh, it is a far, far away place, that we can't even ever think about how far it is. But we learn here from the scripture, from Revelation chapter 21, that even that city of the heavenly Jerusalem, going to come out of heaven, as it says here, coming down from God, and in a sense, we can see that there will be an intercommunication between heaven and earth.

And in that city of Jerusalem, the heavenly Jerusalem, the heavenly Jerusalem, is going to be coming out of heaven, and they're going to be coming out of God, and in that city it says that the people of God will dwell. It says here in verse 2, that this city will be prepared as the bride adorned for her husband. You know, while the Old Testament Hebrew prophets did not know about the eternal state, they only knew about the Messianic kingdom. They never prophesied of anything beyond the Messianic age, the thousand years of millennial age. But the New Testament writers received additional information about the city of Jerusalem, which became the hope of all the believers.

And I would like you to read with me a couple of verses that the New Testament writers wrote about the city of Jerusalem. The first passage that we'd like to look at for a moment is in the book of Galatians. If you turn with me, please, to Galatians chapter 4, we find out that this heavenly city of Jerusalem, it was a city that is from above, and it is a city of the ones that are free. They are no longer in bondage. Look at Galatians chapter 4, Paul, Shaul, is writing and speaking about this city of Jerusalem, and he says in verse 25 and 26, Hagar is a picture of Mount Sinai in Arabia, and it is answering to Jerusalem, which is now, and is in bondage with her children.

You know very well that even our own city of Jerusalem, which I was born there, constantly under attack, constantly with wars and fighting, there is that bondage that is existing even today, with all the fact that we live there and people are born there and carry on life there. But there is always the constant friction and bondage over that city of Jerusalem, that is the Jerusalem which is now. But look what he said in verse 26. But the Jerusalem which is from above is free, which is the mother of us all. He makes a contrast, the Apostle Paul, between the existing present-day city of Jerusalem, which today is constantly bombarded with constant bondage and problems in that city today, but the future city of Jerusalem, which is from above, is free.

There is no bondage there. There is liberty. There is freedom. Why? Because sin will no longer exist. Death will no longer exist. And therefore there will be total freedom and peace in that city of Jerusalem. He called it here, the Apostle Paul, in verse 26, Jerusalem, which is above, is free, which is the mother of us all. Then another verse, if you may please turn with me to Hebrews chapter 11, please. Hebrews chapter 11. Here is the writer to the Hebrews write about this city again. Hebrews chapter 11. And I'm reading now in verse 8, 9, and 10. Again, look at this. This is the city that is built by God. Hebrews chapter 11.

By faith, verse 8, Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive as an inheritance, he obeyed. And he went out not knowing whither he went. By faith, he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Yaakov, the heirs with him of the same promise. And look what it's adding here. The writer of the book of Hebrews, he said, For he looked for a city which has foundation, whose builder and maker is God. Abraham was looking for that city. Now, he, of course, did not see what you and I see as New Testament believers, the eternal order.

But he was looking for a city where the builder and the maker is not man, but it is God. He was looking for a place of promise that God had promised him. But the writer of Hebrews takes us beyond even the millennial age. And he says that he was looking for a city whose foundation and builder and maker is none else but God himself. Now, if you turn to chapter 12 of the same book of Hebrews, he picks up on this and he continues in verse 20. And the writer to the Hebrew believers said to them in verse 20 of chapter 12, For they could not endure that which was commended.

And if so much as a beast touched the mountain, he's speaking about the law, it shall be stoned or thrust through with a dart. And so terrible is the sight that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake. But you, he's speaking to the believers now in Yeshua the Messiah, to the Hebrew believers. He says, you are come unto the Mount Zion and unto the city, listen, of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Yeshua the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of the sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

And the apostle writing to them and emphasizing the fact that when they became believers in Yeshua the Messiah, they not only came to the Yerushalayim of this world, even though there will be a great time when Yerushalayim, Jerusalem will be restored in a messianic age, but he takes them beyond that, brothers and sisters, and he's saying to them in verse 22, you have come to the living God and to the heavenly Jerusalem, to the Yerushalayim that will come out of heaven. This is the city of God. This is the place where the redeemed people will dwell throughout eternity. And so the apostle John in chapter 21, he sees there the holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven.

And then it says it is prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. You know, when we talk about the city of Jerusalem, while it is a place, an eternal place for the believers, but it really coincides with the people of God. When you look at the wedding, when you have a time where the wedding is going to happen and a marriage is going to happen, we find out that the bride is getting ready for that special occasion where the bridegroom will come to take her and to be united with him because she loves him and she's waiting to be with him. Well, here we find out that the heavenly city of Yerushalayim going to come down from God, ready, prepared as a bride, adorning herself for the marriage of her with her husband.

That's what we find here in verses 1 and 2. So the heavenly Jerusalem, number one, it's a free city. Number two, it's a city that is built by God. And number three, it is a city that is called the heavenly Jerusalem. You know, since at least for me, as an Israeli born in 1955, up till today, nearly, what, 55, 56 years, there is not a time in my little history that the city of Yerushalayim was totally free from trouble. There is not a time. I remember a time where there was constantly suicide bombings in that city, constantly problem. In 1967, I remember before Jerusalem became united, where there was a wall between Jordan portion of Jerusalem and Israel portion of Jerusalem.

There was separation. There was a division in that city of Yerushalayim. And since, at least in my little history, up till the days today, there is constant friction and problem in the city of Jerusalem. And even when the Messiah will come at the second coming and will take his rightful place over this universe, Jerusalem still never going to be the same way as we have here the eternal order, where the heavenly city of Jerusalem will come down. It will be the city of the free, the city that is built by God. And it will be a city that is called the heavenly Jerusalem. Now, what's going to happen in that city?

And who is going to be with God in that eternal order? Look at the next verses, verses 3, 4, and 5. And I think this is very precious for us to get a hold of it. First of all, we find out in verse 3 that God will dwell with man. Look at this. It says, And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with man. And he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people. And God himself shall be with them and be their God. Now, I think the apostle here received that revelation from the Messiah, from Yeshua, in order to show us how much God desired to dwell with men.

You know, God loves men whom he created, men and women, that is. God loved the human race. He created the human race differently that what he created the angelic race, if you will, the angelic realm. Angels are not human beings. Angels are spirit beings. It is only men and women that he created in his own image, in his own likeness. Spirit, soul, and body. And God created men for his own pleasure. And so, can you imagine throughout the history of the universe how he wanted so badly to dwell in the midst of his own? You remember, for example, in the Garden of Eden, before sin came in, we read that God was walking in the cool of the day.

And he was calling Adam, and he says, Adam, where are you? God was walking and dwelling among his people, his creation. But sin came in and brought a separation. And then, since that time, judgment came, and then God finally chosen a nation. And he chosen the nation of Israel. And when he brought Israel outside of the land of Egypt, and he brought them into the wilderness, he said to Moses in chapter 25 of the book of Exodus, make me a sanctuary, that I will dwell among the people of Israel. And you remember, they built a tabernacle. And God's presence was in the midst of his people Israel.

The Shekinah glory rested in the tabernacle. And when the Shekinah glory later on was resting upon the temple, when Israel built the temple in the city of Jerusalem, but sin separated from God. And you remember that God had to leave the temple. He left the temple in the time of Ezekiel. We read of him. He left the temple because the nation had deviated from the will of God. And so what God did, He entered this world through the person of the Messiah. And if you remember, in John chapter 1, we read, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

And then we read in John 1, 14, And the Word became flesh, and tabernacle among us. You remember that? Can you imagine? He wanted so much to dwell with men that He entered humanity in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. And He dwelt, as the Bible says in verse 14 of John chapter 1, the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us. The word for dwelt is tabernacled. Tabernacle among us. And we beheld His glory as the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. God wanted to dwell with men, and He dwelled with Adam and Eve in the garden. He dwelled in the midst of the people of Israel in the tabernacle.

He dwelt in the person of the Son when the Messiah came to this world. God delighted to dwell with men. But sin separated men from God. That's what happened in the garden. That's what happened in the time when Israel came out of the land of Egypt in the tabernacle and the temple. That would happen when men rejected Yeshua the Messiah and set Him aside. But you see, all this is going to be over, beloved brothers and sisters, because God is ultimately going to dwell with men that He found pleasure in these men and women whom He had saved and brought to Himself. And here we find Him, as it says here, I heard a great voice crying out of heaven saying, Look, John, the tabernacle of God is with men.

Look, John, God is going to dwell with men. And by the way, that word for dwell in the Greek is skeino, in the Hebrew is shachan, is the word tabernacle. Skeino in Greek, shechina in Hebrew, you know, like we say sometimes, the shikina glory is the glory of God's manifest presence of God in the midst of His own people. Here, can you imagine what a joy it's going to give to the heart of God? He's going to dwell with men, as the Bible tells us. And some suggest that because it says men, that all distinctions are going to be totally removed. Because it doesn't say He dwells with a certain group of people, but He dwells with men.

This is some suggest that all distinction will totally be removed. But we know that God has various families that He had saved over the generation of the human race. We have the people who became believers in God prior to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, like Noah and his family. We have Noah and his family and then later on Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the people of Israel. And then later on in the church age, the ecclesia, the believers, then we have the tribulation saints and so on. and so we have various families that have been saved over the generation. And the Bible tells us in Revelation 21 in verse 3, it says, that I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle, the tent of God is with men and he will dwell with them.

And notice what it says here in verse 3b, they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and he will be their God. You see, there will be no longer that which calls God not to be recognized by men anymore. They shall be his people. He will be their God, as it says here. And he will be with them. You know, they will no longer have a sense of distance from God. It doesn't mean that we will be divine, never, but the point is that we will enjoy him in such a way that God will completely be constantly with his own people and we can enjoy the presence of the Lord.

I want you to turn with me for a second to 1st John, the epistle. Look what we read in verses 1 and 2 of 1st John chapter 3. This is the same John who wrote the Revelation. He also wrote the epistles and he's saying to the believers, Beloved, behold what men of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God. Therefore the world does not know us because the world does not know him. And then he says, Beloved, now we are the children of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

You see what John is looking forward, you see, he received the book of the Revelation later on, but you see John is saying, look, he says, we are the sons of God. We do not even realize what's going to happen in the future, but then he says, it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. You know, we are going to see the Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, as he is. We are going to be like him, suitable for the presence of God for eternity, never to be separated from him.

That's what John is looking forward as he presents for the believers in 1 John chapter 3, and he is just musing over the fact of the love of God. He says, look, behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us. Just dwell upon that he is saying to them. Just recognize the love of God, that we should be called the children of God. And then he says, it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him. Can you imagine to be like the Lord Yeshua the Messiah in a sense that we are suitable for the presence of God never to be separated from God anymore?

The tabernacle of God is with men. He will dwell with them. They shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God. That's what John is showing to us about this eternal order. That will be a wonderful time eternity to be with our Lord Yeshua the Messiah and with God himself. Now we continue here in verse 4 as he is speaking about God's not only that he will dwell with men, he will tabernacle with his own redeemed people, but then notice what he is going to do in the future day. This is in the eternal order. God will remove everything that sin brought upon men.

He will totally remove it. Everything that sin brought upon the human race in the eternal order, it will be totally removed. He says in verse 4, God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Now just for a moment, just pause here for a moment. I don't know about you, but I'm sure that if we will ask each other about the last week or two, if things have been troubling you that cause you to shed tears, I believe that all of us can honestly say that things in my life, in my family, in my job, in this world around me, in my neighborhood, in my fellowship, things that trouble me, that cause me to shed tears.

Tears are the consequence of sorrow and trouble in the life of mankind. Now I know that there are tears of joy at time, but even the joy, the tears that come out of joy are a result of the sorrows that came prior to that. And here we find out, brothers and sisters, that the tears that we are pouring out in our life since we were born until today, because things are troubling us, things are hurting us, pain and sorrow, bringing tears into the eyes of men and women and those tears that we experience that come from our eyes but out of our hearts are that which God will totally remove in the eternal order.

We never read the tears will be removed in the millennial age, though it's going to be a joyful age, but in the eternal order we read in verse 4 that God will wipe away all tears from their eyes and then he says it's going to be a period of time that there will be no more things that we have experienced here in the human history. says there will be no more death. There will be no more sorrow. There will be no more crying. There shall be no more pain for the former things are passed away. Now we can call that city of Jerusalem the city of no more.

If you just jump to chapter 22 for a moment look at these verses look at verse 3 there shall be no more curse. Look at verse 5 there shall be no more night there. Beloved brothers and sisters when we get to the eternal order to the city of Jerusalem this city is a city of no more no more things that sin brought upon mankind here in this world. The first thing that we find out that there will be no more is death.

You remember when Adam was in the garden of Eden God said to Adam when he placed his two trees in the garden of Eden the tree of life and the tree of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and God said to Adam the day that you will eat out of this tree dying you shall die and Adam in violation of the word of God have taken of the fruit of the tree and the process of decay began the process of death had began he was dying a decay happened to him he died spiritually he later on died physically and and in and in between there was this decay of the body dying

you shall die and we read in scripture that he ultimately died and his descendants die and death came upon all men Romans 5 tells us in verse 12 that by one man sin enter into this world and death by sin came upon all for all have sinned and you and I don't have to go too far some of us perhaps have experienced the death of a family member just in the last year just recently my own father died in Jerusalem the family members that are passing away out of this scene one by one and men don't realize and neglect the message of the gospel neglecting accepting Yeshua the Messiah in order that he or she

will have forgiveness of sin and the time is passing by until they have to meet that appointment that no one misses the appointment with death it is appointed unto men Hebrews 9 once to die and after this the judgment so sin brought death and decay and death is separate us from families from friends death is a point of separation there is spiritual death there is physical death and there is an eternal death that an unbeliever will have to experience if he leaves this world without the knowledge of the Messiah but when we're going to get to the presence of the Lord in the eternal order beloved brothers and sisters death will be totally removed death

that has separated us from loved ones that have separated us from God that have separated us from that which we are dear to us will be totally removed I want to show you something if you turn with me back to 1st Corinthians chapter 15 once again we have looked at this verse but I want you to see what the apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 it says in verse 25 Paul is writing he says for he this is the son the Messiah Yeshua he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet but look what it says in verse 26 what is the last enemy of men look at verse 26

the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death do you know if there is anything that men feel today is death the greatest enemy of men today and women people today is death why because they don't know what is going to happen to them when death comes in it is only us who have accepted Yeshua the Messiah by the grace of God that we can read the text in the Bible what God says to us in the word of God that those that are in Christ Jesus and Yeshua the Messiah passed from death unto life all things become new we are new creation in Yeshua the Messiah so for us today death become a servant

to usher us into the presence of the Lord but for the unbelievers who have not come to faith in the Messiah death is a fearful thing is the last enemy that will be destroyed ultimately when a Messiah at the end of the messianic age will finally destroy even death as it says here now verse 27 for he must put all things under his feet but when he has all things put under him it is manifest that he is accepted which did put all things under him and when all things shall be subdued unto him then shall the son also himself be subject unto him and put all things under him that God this is father

son and holy spirit may be all in all at the end of the millennial age the Messiah will hand over to God the father and then death will be totally removed and he will destroy death why because the wages of sin is death and at the eternal order beloved brothers and sisters there will be a total removal of death and we as believers the people of God going to be throughout eternity living life with the Messiah with God who is dwelling with man without at all experiencing that which we experience in this life and that is death but not only death will be removed until a person dies look what we read it says here

in the next verse there will be neither sorrow nor crying neither there shall be any more pain for the former things are passed away now those statements here such as sorrow what brings sorrow sorrow comes to us because of the sins and the problem that existing in this world we have the thought of crying here crying and weeping comes because of trials and tribulation that man is experiencing here in this world of sin and then pain think of the pain that we experience that man experience here in this world of sin pain these all are going to be totally removed when a Messiah is going to establish this new heaven and new earth as we

read here in verse for God will totally remove everything that sin brought upon men death will be defeated and no more death will be in the eternal order that is a wonderful promise for those who belong to the Lord Yeshua the Messiah and I remember brothers and sisters the disinformation that we have here the Old Testament saints did not have disinformation revelation 21 verse 1 all the way to revelation 22 and verse 5 is information that Old Testament saints did not have it is a New Testament saints that have this it takes us beyond the messianic age it takes us to the eternal order where things are totally going to be different then notice that

I'm moving on in our verses now there is a declaration now by the Lord himself in he says in verse 5 and he that sat upon the throne said behold I make all things new and he said unto me write for these words are true and are faithful you see God is saying there is a declaration there and the one that declared this here is in verse 5 he is the one that sits upon the throne we know that we have if we remember when our study God is sitting on the throne we saw the Messiah is the lamb there we also saw the 24 elders around the throne but the one that sits upon

the throne was God and here God declares and he says listen I make all things new and he said unto me write this John I want you to write this because whatever I am telling you are true and are faithful put it down John you and I can read it today because John put this down John put this down this is true this is faithful because others such as you and I and other believers throughout the church need to read these words from God these are true words of God these are faithful words that came from God and so John had to put this down and write this and what does he tell him I

make all things new you know brothers and sisters everything that comes from the old creation has to be totally removed the old nature has to be totally removed that's why the Bible say that we must be born again born anew born from above why because the old nature is that which is coming from the old ways the old sinful past and when we became believers in Yeshua the Messiah remember 2nd Corinthians 5 and verse 17 those that are in the Messiah Yeshua a new creation old things are passed away all become new makes us suitable for this new thing that God is doing in the eternal order behold I make all things totally new we

read here in verse 5 and so in those verses 3 and 4 and 5 we see God dwelling in the midst of his own in a new creation he removed totally death and sorrow and crying and pain and there he made everything new suitable for the people of God to enjoy and to dwell with him forever and ever and so we continue here in our next verses there in verse 6 there is a promise of full satisfaction you know from the time that we are born here in this world we are trying to be satisfied right we are trying to be happy in this world we are trying to go to a good school we

are trying to raise our family in the right way we are working very hard trying to be satisfied you see we work hard so we can buy things and then we are trying to be satisfied we get married so we will be happy with a husband and a wife we bring children into this world so we will be and it seemed to be and you have to admit it that doesn't matter what you have in this world you are still always seems to be not satisfied you don't quite get there you don't quite satisfied I know we are taught in the Bible be content with such things as you have for he said I'll never

leave you nor forsake you but how often we have to admit we are not quite satisfied here in this world whatever we have we seem to not be totally satisfied well when we are going to be in the eternal state we will never have this empty feeling as if something is missing we will be totally satisfied because we are going to be with our blessed Lord Yeshua the Messiah and we are never anymore going to have that sin nature to cause us to be dissatisfied and so in verse six now he's promising of a full and eternal satisfaction for those that believe on the Lord and those that belong to him he says in verse

six he said unto me it is done I am the alpha and the omega I am the beginning and the end I will give unto him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely here John I want you to write this down John it is done it is finished everything passed away that which is in decay that which is limited that which is failure everything has passed away John put this down he says I am the alpha I am the beginning I am the end I will give unto him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life and it's going to be free in other words he promised

here and while he's talking about the eternal order he's still speaking to man today that if somebody reads Revelation chapter 21 and verse 6 he's still speaking to man today he says listen I am the beginning I am the end I am the alpha and the omega I am telling you are you thirsty you want to be satisfied you're trying to find satisfaction here in this world and you don't find it you want to be satisfied find it in the person of Yeshua the Messiah and he is going to give you an eternal satisfaction he will quench your thirst that's why he says here I will give him of the water of the fountain of

the water of life freely just turn again to the gospel of John for a moment John chapter 4 let me read you a verse or two there and no wonder John is writing because it is the same apostle of John who wrote earlier in the gospel and you remember the story of the Samaritan woman in John chapter 4 when the Lord Jesus the Messiah came beside her and he was there he was asking her to give him to drink you remember that in John chapter 4 look what we read here in verse 13 it says Jesus answered Yeshua answered he said unto her when she gave him the water he says listen whosoever drinking of

this water shall thirst again but he says but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give unto him shall never thirst but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life you see she was talking about the physical water he was talking about the spiritual life spiritual she was talking about the water that came out of the well and he was talking about the water the fountain of life that which comes from God the living water and she said to him if you remember oh give me this water that I will not come to here to draw any longer she said this in

verse 15 she wanted so much this water and here the Lord Yeshua the Messiah telling John in Revelation as he's writing the book of the Revelation on the island of Padme saying John listen you write this down what I'm telling you this is true this is real this is what's going to happen in the coming day and he says listen if there is someone that is thirsty I'm going to give unto that person that is thirsty out of the fountain of the water of life and I'm going to give it to him freely he doesn't have to earn it to pay for that it will be freely the fountain of the water of life and

that's what you and I as believers in Yeshua the Messiah we had drank from this fountain and we found satisfaction in the Messiah even though we are still here and now in this world with much decay and much discouragement and death and sorrow and pain and all this is still part of this falling creation but we are waiting for the day where we are going to be in the presence of the Lord when death will no longer exist where sorrow crying and pain will be removed when he will wipe away the tears and we are going to stand in his presence enjoying what he had given us the fountain of the water of life and

we will be eternally enjoying the person of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah now notice that in closing here for this portion that we are looking at it says in verses 7 and 8 we see the contrast between the believers who overcame and have acknowledged the Messiah and the one who did not overcome in other words the unbelievers who were overcome by the world and its system and the sin that brought death into their life look what it says here in verse 7 first of all he that overcomes shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he will be my son that word overcome is an expression that we find out throughout the

book of the revelation especially in chapter 2 and chapter 3 at the church age the overcomer is really the believers 1st John also tells us in 1st John chapter 5 we also learn about he that overcomes he that believeth of the son he is the overcomer and because we have acknowledged him and we overcome this world and its system by faith in the Messiah who is the one that is overcomer but he the believer that Yeshua is the Messiah but look for them he had given a promise in verse 7 he said that the one that overcome he said I will give him all things everything belong to that person that have trusted in a

Messiah and he said I will be his God and he will be my son here is the promise but look at the contrast in verse 8 of those who were overcomed by the world Satan and the sin of the flesh look what it says in verse 8 but the fearful and unbelieving and abominable and murderous and humongous and sorcerous and idolatrous and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death see he put here the contrast now again he writes these words in a portion of the scriptures which deal with the eternal order but he is writing it for the benefit of those who

read it today because we are not yet in that eternal order we are looking for that city from above the city that was made by God the city that is free the new Jerusalem but we are here now today and when we read these things we are challenged and the question is being asked have you accepted the Lord Jesus the Messiah as your Lord and Savior have you dealt with matters have you accepted the way of salvation that God provided freely through the death of his son and the resurrection and then he tells us if you have you are called in scripture as an overcomer the overcomer is the one that will inherit everything at

the end and God will be his God and he will be his son you're going to be called his son but the one that was overcome by sin and the flesh and Satan and the world he is the one as it says here at the end of verse 8 they shall have their part in the lake which is burning with fire and brimstone and it is called here in verse 8 the second death now remember we talked about it already in chapter 20 where we read verse 6 blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection on such the second death has no power you remember we read it also in chapter

20 in verse 14 where it says death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire this is the second death the second death is the eternal death where a person will be totally separated from God never anymore to be able to be restored because he's going to be eternally separated from God and that is exactly what God does not want for any man God is not willing that any would perish God want men women boys and girls to be drawn to him so we can enjoy that eternal state the eternal order and we dwell in that eternal city of Jerusalem the city which came from above which the maker and builder is God and

not man it is a city of the free it is the city that one can enjoy throughout eternity to be in that city and that is the portion that the apostle John received now in Revelation 21 and gave it to us from verses 1 to 8 in the will of the Lord in our next ministry meeting we're going to move on from verse 9 to the end of chapter 21 and even the first eternal city of Jerusalem what that city is like and how is that city is going to exist and what's going to happen in that eternal order how wonderful to look forward to the future day of the eternal state when brothers and

sisters death sin sorrow crying pain will be no more can you say amen to them amen
