Shabbat Shalom everyone. We say in Israel, Chag Sukkot Sameach. Can you say it in Hebrew? Chag Sukkot Sameach. Very nice, very nice. We are so thankful that you can be with us here today for this Shabbat meeting. And of course, this meeting today is very special because we are also dealing today with Feast of Tabernacles, known in Hebrew as Sukkot. So we are going to have some scripture read for us. And if you don't mind, and I hope you have a Bible with you, Just open your Bibles and turn with me this Shabbat meeting to Leviticus once again. We are dealing with the seventh feast of the Lord, which the Lord had given to our forefathers Israel.

And today is the feast of Sukkot in Hebrew, Tabernacles, or the feast of Booth, as it is known today. And I would like to go back to that very same chapter, the very famous chapter, Leviticus, chapter 23. And I would like to begin the reading today from that chapter specifically in connection with the Feast of Tabernacles. And we begin with reading in verse 33, Leviticus 23, 33. And then I will connect with that some other passages that are found elsewhere in the Word of God. So I'm reading, and if you don't mind, please follow me. Verse 33. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of the seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles, in Hebrew, Chag Sukkot, for seven days unto the Lord.

On the first day shall be an holy convocation, ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. On the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you. And ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. It is a solemn assembly, and ye shall do no servile work therein. Then verse 39. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days. On the first day shall be a Shabbat, and on the eighth day shall be a Shabbat, and ye shall take you on the first day the bows of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the bows of thick trees, and willows of the brook, and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

And ye shall keep it, a feast unto the Lord, seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations. Ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in Sukkot, bus, seven days. All that our Israel is born shall dwell in bus, in Sukkot. that your generation may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in Booth when I brought them out of the land of Egypt I am the Lord your God and verse 44 says and Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord now please put your finger here don't lose it because we want to read another passage the next passage that i want to read is in the book of the prophets and i'd like you to turn with me to Zechariah Zechariah in english in hebrew we call him Zechariah chapter 14 there i want to read the prophetic passage that deal with the feast of Sukkot and there if you don't mind go to chapter 14 Zechariah chapter 14 and I'm reading from verse 9 and then into verse 16 so verse 9 we read Zechariah chapter 14 and verse 9 says and the Lord shall be king over all the earth in that day shall there be one Lord and his name one verse 16 and it shall come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, Chag Sukkot.

And it shall be that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the king, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up and come not that have no rain, there shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of egypt and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles in that day there shall be upon the bells of the horses holiness unto the lord and the parts of the lord's house shall be like the bows before the altar.

Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judea shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts, and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them and seeth therein, and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts. One more place I have to read, and this time is in the book of Nehemiah, in the writings, Nehemiah chapter 8, and there, beloved brothers and sisters, I would like us to read a few verses there as well, in connection with the Feast of Tabernacles. Echemia was now gathering the people of Israel in the city of Jerusalem after the return of the dispersed Jewish people.

And you notice what it says in Nehemiah chapter 8, verse 1, And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate. And they spake unto Ezra, the scribe, to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commended to Israel. And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation, both men and women, and all that could heal with understanding. Notice that, upon the first day of the seventh month. And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women and those that could understand.

And the ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law. Verse 14. And they found written in the law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in Booth, in Sukkot, in the feast of the seventh month, and that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetched olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, to make sukkot, as it is written. So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, everyone upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in their courts of the house of God, and in the streets of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim, and all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booth, made Sukkot, and sat under the booth.

For since the day of Joshua the son of Nun, unto that day had not the children of Israel done so, And there was very great gladness. And one final verse in Matthew chapter 6. Matthew chapter 6. And there we read in that New Testament, Brit HaChadasha, the New Covenant, Yeshua taught his disciples, And he said unto them in Matthew chapter 6 and verse 9, After this manner, therefore pray, Ye, our Father which are in heaven, Hello be thy name, thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. And I'm stopping here, beloved brothers and sisters, with the reading of the Word of God. Now, I'm not sure if everyone was here with us when we began the study of the fall feasts that the Lord had given our forefathers, the people of Israel.

Two weeks ago, there was Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, and we have dealt together with the Feast of Trumpets, and we have looked upon the chart that is right behind me, and we saw the importance of the Feast of Trumpets. We call it today also Rosh Hashanah, the rabbi call it as well, but we know scripturally speaking it is called the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Tu'a. Then the previous week, last Shabbat meeting, we dealt with the Day of Atonement, Yom HaKippurim, and we have learned the importance and the value of Yom HaKippurim for the nation of Israel. Today, beloved brothers and sisters, we are going to deal in the message today with the Feast of Tabernacle, known to be in Hebrew, the Feast of Sukkot.

And so as we are looking at this chart, perhaps it is the final time for us to look at this chart this season. And I would like you to be one more time very attentive to me, so it will help you in your understanding of the program and the plan of God for Israel, First of all, for the assembly, secondly, and for the people of the world at large. We know this, we didn't read all the verses today of Leviticus chapter 23, but in Leviticus there are seven feasts that God has given to the people of Israel. Four feasts were in the spring season, and those four feasts in the spring season were Passover, Unleavened Bread, first fruits, and Shavuot, or weeks, or Pentecost, as it is known in the Greek language.

That was in the spring season.

Then in the fall season, we have additional three feasts, and those are the feasts in which we are dealing with today in our Bible study and ministry meeting, the Feast of Trumpets, the Feast of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacle, which today we are dealing with the final feast of tabernacle now all these seven feasts were given to israel to keep or this appointment to keep every year consistently in the spring four feasts in the fall three feasts and you know up till today in the year in which we live in our own jewish people somehow they managed and seek to keep that feast to the best of their ability in spite of the fact

that they were dispersed and scattered all over the nations of the world and you will notice beloved brothers and sisters right here that all these seven feasts are mentioned in one single chapter in leviticus chapter 23 and all these seven feasts predicting the plan of god for all humanity again to remind you that the passover spoke about the death of our lord yeshua the messiah the unleavened bread spoke about his sinlessness and the necessity for believers to live a life without sin a godly life we read about we studied the first fruit and we noticed the first fruit represent the resurrection of our lord yeshua jesus the messiah who died and was buried and rose

again and then we we know that the feast of pentecost represent the descending of the holy spirit of god and the uniting believers into that one body called the body of messiah represented by the two loaves that the high priest of israel was to present before the lord that is past history That has happened in the past ages, and now that we are 2,000 years after the coming of the Messiah, his death, his resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit of God, we live prophetically in the last days of the church age, the assembly's days, and soon enough, God will begin restoring the people of Israel back to himself.

And that's why the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth month represent the present day in which you and I live in, waiting for the day of Israel's final restoration. Well, we studied the book, The Feast of Trumpet, and we said that the Feast of Trumpet represents the physical restoration of the people of Israel to the land of Israel. And indeed, you could see that now after 2,000 years, now the people of Israel are back in the land, not all the Jewish people, but nearly 50% of the Jewish community worldwide live today in the land of Israel, and yet Israel as a nation is not yet regenerated.

you might say a saved nation they are waiting for the future day to come and that day when Israel will finally going to be a regenerated nation a saved nation is once God have restored the people of Israel back to the land but then at the end of the tribulation period the day of atonement represent where israel as a nation going to be broken before the lord recognizing that jesus that yeshua is the messiah and come to know him as their messiah lord and savior that will happen at the end of the tribulation at the end of the seven years that are predicted in scripture by daniel the seven years of jacob's trouble and finally

israel will turn to the lord and you remember what we read in zechariah chapter 12 and then verse 10 they shall look upon him whom they have pierced and they shall mourn as one mourner for his only son and god is going to receive the nation of israel to himself and now beloved brothers and sisters as we are studying here the seven feasts of the lord finally he's going to provide for israel the nation this messianic kingdom the promise that he had given to his people of israel to establish a messianic kingdom where yeshua the messiah gonna reign for a thousand years as king of kings and lord of lord Everyone eventually in this world

that is so sad will be blessed when Israel as a nation will be restored to the Lord himself.

And that's what I would like to deal with today in the ministry of Leviticus chapter 23 and the last portion of that 23rd chapter. So, if you don't mind, please just look in your Bible back into Leviticus chapter 23. And I'm just going to highlight some things from this 23rd chapter, beginning from verse 33. First of all, I want you to notice that there are seven things or sevenfold requirements that God had required from our people Israel when he gave them those feasts, especially the Feast of Sukkot. The Feast of Tabernakal. Seven things that I want to highlight before you this ministry meeting together. The first thing I want you to notice, that the Feast of Sukkot was on a certain date that was appointed by the Lord himself.

Notice verse 33 and verse 34a. And the Lord speak unto Moses, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, saying, listen to this, The 15th day of the 7th month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles. First thing he wanted to tell them, Israel, listen, I have an appointment with you. It's not going to be on the 14th day of the 7th month. It's not going to be on the 16th day of the 7th month. The appointment will begin on the 15th day of the month of Tishrei. In Hebrew, the month of Tishrei is equivalent to the September of October in which we live in today. Actually, beloved brothers and sisters, tomorrow, Sunday evening, it is the 15th day of the month of Tishrei.

At evening after sundown, we are entering into the Hebrew-Israeli calendar, the 15th day of the month of Tishrei. It will be tomorrow at sundown, after sundown. Well, notice that. He didn't tell them any other day. They couldn't change the date. It was an appointed season. He gave them the day. He gave them the month. It is on the seventh month in the Hebrew calendar. And this is the month of Tishrei. That's the first thing that we learned. They couldn't change the date. They couldn't avoid to keep that feast unless if they would avoid to to keep the feast on that day god will discipline his own people israel secondly i want you to notice in verse 34b that the feast of sukkot in contrast to the feast of day of atonement for example or the day of the feast of trumpet these days were only one day You remember that?

If you look again at this map, the Feast of Trumpets was only one day. And the Day of Atonement was only one day. But when it comes to the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacle, it was seven days long plus one. The number seven in the Bible speaks of, you might say, a complete number. It speaks of perfection. It speaks of fullness. Here there is a fullness of time. The seventh feast celebrated on the seventh month, it was to be kept for seven days. as it says here in verse 34b it says for seven days you will keep it unto the lord and it was seven days long very interesting it was the final feast it was to be kept on the seventh month it was to be kept for seven long days and this number seven in scripture often represent before us the full number, the completeness, you might say the culmination.

If you will look at another chart that I wanted to point to you as you watched it, notice the Feast of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacle, Leviticus chapter 23 verses 33 to 43, it is in the Hebrew month of Tishrei, and you notice it speaks of the culmination it came to a finality it's the last feast of the year but it's also prophetically speaks about the last days it's the culmination where god is going to bring to fruition that which he intended in his plan for israel and for the whole nations of the world so number one we notice that it was to be kept on the seventh month and on the 15th day.

Number two, we notice that the length of this feast will be seven days.

The third thing that we want to notice from the passage we read in verse 35, that the feast of Sukkot is to be or to begin what is known to be a holy convocation notice the word in verse 35 on the first day shall be a holy convocation ye shall do no survive work therein the word holy convocation in hebrew it's called mikra kodesh mikra means to call everyone and the word for kodesh mean holy in other words to be set apart for God he is now saying to Israel Israel on that particular feast called the feast of Sukkot you will call up the whole nation to devote themselves to God himself to be separated

themselves unto the Lord to devote themselves to him for this special feast it's called holy convocation in english and in hebrew it's called mikra kodesh the call of the people to be set apart for god fourthly in chapter 23 of leviticus from verse 36 to verse 38 it is also interesting and especially for us today because you will notice that god is expecting from israel to offer sacrifices throughout all these days you notice that i'm reading verse 36 seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the lord on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the lord it is

a solemn assembly and he shall do no servile work therein.

Now, this is extremely interesting. In other words, when you offer a sacrifice, you have to kill an innocent animal. And when you have to kill an innocent animal, you have to shed its blood upon the altar. In order to shed its blood upon the altar, the priest has to function. And when the blood was shed, the Lord was, in other words, The Lord was honored because the blood that was shed and placed upon the altar spoke to God about one that will come in the fullness of time and shed his very own blood and become the supreme sacrifice. And who is that one except our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah himself.

But if you for a moment turn to Numbers chapter 29 with me, as we are sitting here together, you will notice how many sacrifices Israel had to offer during the Feast of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. Notice that in chapter 29, especially there you will notice from verse 12 to verse 38. I'm not going to read all these verses. But if you will notice, if you carefully begin to count the amount of sacrifices of the animals that had to die, someone said it was 199 animals that had to die to be killed, in addition to the ordinary sacrifices that were always offered, morning and evening and so on. You notice what it says there in Numbers chapter 29 and verse 12.

It says this, and I'm reading. And notice, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, ye shall have an holy convocation. And ye shall do no servile work therein. And ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord for seven days. And notice now verse 13. And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice by fire. For a sweet Savior unto the Lord. Thirteen young bullocks. Notice that? Two rams. Fourteen lambs. Of the first year. They shall be without blemish. Notice verse 14. And their meal offering shall be of fine flour mingled with oil. Then verse 15. And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteenth lamb.

And then notice verse 16. And one kid of the goats for a sin offering. You notice that, brothers and sisters? There was burnt offering to be offered. There was meal offering to be offered. There was sin offering to be offered. In other words, the burnt offering is that which rise to God's nostrils and give Him their satisfaction. Because God had to be honored with respect to sin. And then there was sin offering to meet the need of the ordinary Israeli who were just like you and I. A sinner who needed forgiveness of sin. But if you will look carefully, you will notice that there were so many bullocks that had been offered.

The total amount of bullocks together in those seven days was 70 bullocks. Just look at your Bible with me for a moment. Verse 13, 13 young bullocks. Verse 17, 12 young bullocks. Verse 20, 11 bullocks. Verse 23, 10 bullocks. Verse 26, 9 bullocks. Verse 29, 8 bullocks. And verse 32, 7 bullocks. 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7. And if you will put them together, there were 70 bullocks that had to be offered as a burnt offering unto the God of Israel. those 70 bullets represent the 70 nations that we find them in the book of genesis chapter 10 all the nations of the world are seen here in israel the nation offering sacrifices on behalf of all the nations of the world why because god is intending in that the last feast called the feast of Sukkot which speaks about the messianic kingdom he is intending to bless all the nations of the world that on the ground of the shed blood of the animal which typified the lord jesus the messiah everyone that will enter into that messianic kingdom will enter in on the basis of the shed blood of these bullocks.

And you know, I read this morning, as I do it every year when we have the Feast of Tabernacles subject, and I read that in the United Nations today, there are 195 nations that are there. Two of them are ready to be registered as a nation, but 193 nations are found today in the world in which we live in, and they are part of the united nations. I don't know how united they are, but they are part of the so-called united nations today.

But in a time when Israel came out of Egypt, the amount of nations that we find in the early days in the book of Genesis is about 70 nations, And it is fascinating to me, God in his wisdom have allowed our forefathers, the people of Israel, to offer sacrifices, not only for themselves, but on behalf of the nations of the world, because soon and very soon, not only Israel will be blessed, but every nation that will remain at the end of the tribulation will come to the enjoyment of the relationship with the Messiah Jesus himself so back to Leviticus at chapter 23 and I'm reading now point number five to consider notice in verse 39

the first thing that God has expected from Israel is to remind them of their provisions of the land that he have brought them into notice this verse 39 it says also in the 15th day of the seventh month when ye have gathered in the fruits of the land he shall keep a feast unto the lord for seven days on the first day shall be a shabbat and on the eighth day shall be a shabbat now brothers and sisters listen god provided for israel the land when they will enter into the land they will have the fruit that they have sowed the seed, ripped the crop.

Well, he wanted Israel to recognize that everything that they have received was a gift that came to them from the Lord.

Like in our days today, everything that we have, James said, every good and perfect things came from above from the father of light with whom there is no variableness neither shadow of turning james tells us this in his book so the feast of sukkot is a feast of thanksgiving you know in a few days actually in united states and so in canada we the canadian will celebrate thanksgiving well why is thanksgiving came about well those who immigrated to this country recognize the necessity to give thanks now of course in those days they actually have wanted to give thanks to god today i don't know if it's done in the same way people celebrate a a

certain holiday without to recognize that they have received everything from the hand of the Lord and everything that we have accomplished here in this world were given to us by God and so our forefathers had to remember that they didn't earn it on themselves they didn't furnish it by themselves it was God who provided for them the land in verse 39 saying to them when ye have gathered in order the fruit of the land ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord rejoice recognize that God has been the one that had provided what you have for yourself and so this was the fifth requirement on the Feast of Tabernacles.

And we move along now. Here's another two important things that I would like to emphasize in the next verses. Verse 40 and verse 41. The people of Israel were responsible to rejoice and to celebrate during the Feast of Tabernacles.

Notice what we read in verse 40 and he shall take on the first day a bose of goodly trees and branches of palm trees and a bow of thick trees and a willow of the brooks and ye shall rejoice notice that in verse 40 ye shall rejoice before the lord your god for seven days verse 41 says and he shall keep it a feast unto the lord seven days in the year it shall be a statute forever in your generation now you will notice that he gave them the four fruits if you will just look at the slide here for a moment you can see the four fruits that are part of the fruits that

israel was to bring before the lord and to bring it in and to represent it before the lord this is called the palm the willow the mattress and the citrus in hebrew we call it the lulav the arava the hadas and the etrog you see some of them were fruit and some of them were branches and today if you will watch some of our people who are going to the synagogue and going to the various gathering together they will bring those four fruits four branches and fruit together the lulav the arava the hadas and the trog they will hold it together they will wave it in four direction giving thanks to god and in a

sense presenting those those four species before the lord in hebrew we call it our bat haminim the four species which israel was to present before the lord goodly trees palm trees thick trees and the willows of the brook in hebrew there the name is pre etz hadar kapot tmarim anaf etz avot and aravei hanachal or aravei nachal this is the hebrew words for those four statements that are mentioned here but you notice in both verses verse 40 and in verse 41 the word is rejoice rejoice in verse 40 and celebrate the hebrew word for celebrate it comes from the word hug this is the only feast here or at least the feast that is mentioned

not only that it is a feast It is an appointed season, but it is also called Chag.

It is a celebration because of God's faithfulness to his people when Israel have entered into the promised land. And therefore, the sixth requirement from the people of Israel on the Feast of Sukkot is to bring those fruit and branches and to rejoice before the Lord. And this is, to me, is amazing, because sometimes, if we will apply this to ourselves today, the believer in the Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, should be a joyful person. We, as believers in the Lord, whose sins are forgiven and have the hope to be with Yeshua the Messiah in glory, we should be a people that are rejoicing, people that are thankful to the Lord.

Paul said in Philippians chapter 4, rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice, let your moderation be made known unto men, the Lord is at hand. When people look at us from outside and they see the believers in Yeshua the Messiah, they are to be able to see a people that are rejoicing because of all that we have received from our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

And I can assure you, if you would go today or tomorrow to the land of Israel and you will see the Jewish people in the synagogue walking around with the Torah in their hands, singing to the Lord, singing to the God of our fathers and singing unto him the songs of joy, because that was a requirement that was given to the people of Israel in Leviticus chapter 23 verses 40 41 now notice the last requirement that is found here in Leviticus chapter 23 and that is found in the last verses verses 42 and 43 and this is this is very beautiful because there it says in these last two verses it says ye shall dwell

in sukkot in booth in tabernacles how long seven days who should be there all those who are israelis born should dwell in booth according to verse 42 it was you might say necessary it was commended by the lord for the people of israel to dwell in sukkah and if you would look for a moment at this structure that we have here this is a sukkah that was built in the land of israel you notice it is a really flimsy structure and you have the branches on the top as a roof and the branches are commanded to be open so every israel you sit inside will be able to look at the stars and to look

at the sky and acknowledge the god who provided this for them look at the next slide and you will notice the inside of it and the inside of the sukkah shows us here how the table is set there the family will gather together to celebrate to sit together enjoy the meals together sing together and that was commended beloved brothers and sisters by the lord already 3500 years ago when israel came out of the land of egypt if you look at the third slide here you will notice that the sukkah is also being built even in the balconies in the homes today because now obviously you have apartment building you have various homes and so on

and every family will have to build this flimsy structure and sit there in that structure i always refer to the days of old when i was a young boy in jerusalem with my family and it was such a experience you know all the kids together getting the pieces of wood putting them together and then getting the material to cover the outside going to get some branches from the trees and laying that on top and it was such a fun thing to sit outside and enjoy a meal together with the family to sing and to acknowledge the the goodness of god who provided for his own people now you might say well what is it in

september october the month of tishrei all the jewish people go out of their home when the things the weather is getting cold and you want to stay warm inside your house but you see brothers and sisters god wanted israel to be remembering these faithfulness for the nation when they were on the way to the promised land so you notice what it says in verse 43 that your generation may know that i made the children of israel to dwell in Sukkot in tabernacles in booth when i brought them out of the land of egypt i am the lord your god so when the jewish people when the people of israel will come out of their comfort

zone from their homes or an apartment and so on and go out into the you might say the field and there build a sukkah and cover it only with some material around and branches on the top that will remind them of the faithfulness of god and you know when you really think about it if you read the story of our people coming out of the land of egypt and how god was so gracious to the nation even though israel rebelled and complained and were dissatisfied with what god that provided for them, yet God have carried them through.

He allowed them to come all the way, all the way from Egypt, all the way to the land of Canaan. Of course, the older generation died in the wilderness because when God wanted them to enter into the promised land, they did not trust him and they brought a bad report about the people in the land of Canaan and God says because of your unbelief and because of your rebellion you're going to walk 40 years in the wilderness and all the generation they had to die in the wilderness while the one that were born after enter into the promised land And they were the ones who were responsible to teach their children about the faithfulness of God during the wilderness.

And that is a lesson for us because you know how we are, even though we are believers in Yeshua, we are part of the body of Messiah. We are saved, we are forgiven. But all along our journey, how many a time we grumble against the Lord? How many a time we say, God, I should have been, you should have provided this for me, and I don't like this, and I have this problem in my life. How many a time we grumble and complain against the Lord? How many a time, and yet God is faithful, and He's providing for us each day, and He leads us on in our walk with the Lord, even though we have failed Him so many a time.

beloved brothers and sisters so here we see the sevenfold requirements from the lord from the people of israel for the feast of the sukkot the feast of tabernacle number one it must be on the 15th day of the month of tishrei number two it must be seven days long number three it must be a holy convocation number four animals must die and sacrifices must be offered number five you must give thanks because of all the provision that god had provided for israel number six israel was to rejoice and to celebrate in the presence of the lord and number seven you must build the booth a sukkah, a tabernacle, you must go out of your home of the comfort, sit in the sukkah, and there recognize of the faithfulness of God from generation to generation to you, the people of Israel.

That is what the Torah teaching us concerning the feast of tabernacles. So now, beloved brothers and sisters just to to kind of sum it up i would like you to turn with me for a moment to the prophets for a moment and remember we read in the book of zechariah as well now what does this represent what does the feast of tabernacle represent prophetically and that's why we go to the prophet Zechariah. And Zechariah now directs us to a future day. So please turn to Zechariah chapter 14. And I want to remind you that when Zechariah was preaching to Israel, Israel were already taken captive by the Babylonians, 586 BC.

They returned back to the land after 70 years of captivity and now they once again rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem and Zechariah was preaching to these people Jewish people who returned from Bavil and now needed to be reminded of what belonged to them as a nation but Zechariah does something that is very very important he takes them beyond the past and even beyond the present dead days in the higher days about 480 bc and he's now directing them to the future day now remember brothers and sisters that zecharia didn't know what you and i know today we know that now in the last two thousand years the church was formed the assembly was born again

if you look at the map at the chart for a moment now we find ourselves today living in the days of the assembly days in which the spirit of god descended and formed the body of messiah and as the spirit of god descended and formed the body of messiah we are waiting for the day when israel will be restored as a nation we we'll just continue with Zechariah chapter 14 so in chapter 14 and verse 9 we read Zechariah remind Israel and he said to them you know the Lord shall be king over all the earth and then he said in that day shall there be one Lord and his name one he's now taking

them to the future day you see the world rejected god israel at that time returning from babylon were under now restored from being disciplined and now they are weak and feeble group of people back in the land and god is reminding them israel don't forget that is yet coming a future day when the lord himself is going to be king and he's going to reign over not only over you but over all the world there shall be only one lord and his name shall be one and so he's taking them to the future day and then notice how he connects brothers and sisters he connects the feast of tabernacle with the messianic kingdom the kingdom

that is going to come and so in Zechariah chapter 14 and verse 16 he says it shall come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the king the lord of hosts and know the stead beloved brothers and sisters and to keep the feast of tabernacle now you notice what he says here he says and it's come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations that came up against jerusalem apparently he's taking them to armageddon war that will happen sometime during the tribulation period where the antichrist the counterfeit messiah will rise up and will oppose

the nation of israel and there will him and his armies will come against the city of jerusalem and you notice it says everyone that is left left from what left from this terrible warfare terrible tribulation period terrible days of jacob's trouble those that will remain at the end of the tribulation after they came against the city of Jerusalem they that will remain now they will enter into the kingdom where the Messiah Yeshua is going to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords we just read in verse 9 that the Lord shall be King over all the earth and so what happened here he said that the old nation that will remain now notice

what they're going to do they're going to according to verse 16 they will come up and notice the hebrew word they're going to come up in hebrew it's the word to come up is always when you go to jerusalem you always go up isaiah 2 say come let us go up to the mountain of the lord to the house of the god of jacob it's always going up physically but it's also going up spiritually they're going to come up and they're going to come to the city of jerusalem now and notice what they're going to do they will keep the feast of sukkot now here we can look at it notice that after israel at

the end of the tribulation period will accept the messiah the jewish people will repent and acknowledge yeshua the messiah then there will be the establishment of the messianic kingdom and the very same yeshua jesus the messiah that was rejected at his first coming he is now going to be acknowledged as king of kings and lord of lords and that happened during the prophetically speaking the feast of tabernacles he's going to reign and rule and the word millennium come from the word to a thousand years is the messianic age and now the nations that in the past used to oppose jerusalem and hate the people of israel now they're going to be turning around now they

will survive the tribulation period and they will come and notice the beautiful word here in verse 16 they will come to worship the king to worship the king the hebrew word to worship means to bow before the king lehishtachavot to bow before the king messiah who will one day in the future day will reign as the king of israel the king of this universe this is fascinating then it says notice now in verse 17 18 and 19 that whosoever will not come to that during that day of the messianic age to come to worship the king look what's going to happen to them verses 17 18 and 19 it shall be that whosoever will not

come up of all the families of the earth unto jerusalem to worship the king the lord of hosts even unto them shall be no rain and if the family of egypt go not up and come not that have no rain there shall be the plague wherewith the lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacle we read in verse 18 and then verse 19 again mentioned the people of egypt he said this shall be the punishment of egypt and a punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacle now why does he mention egypt here why does he single actually the only nation that

is mentioned here in this passage is egypt not lebanon not syria not other nation not edom not moab but egypt and the reason that egypt is mentioned here is because previous past past history in the history of israel israel came out of egypt israel were slaves in the land of egypt and so you remember when god said to pharaoh let my people go and pharaoh says i will not let your people go and god brought the plagues the ten plagues upon the egyptian and here you can see that even the very same nation that did not allow initially israel to go out of the land of egypt even this name is mentioned once again twice

here in zechariah chapter 14 verses 18 and verses 19 and if you would look carefully in exodus 12 and verse 12 that god have something against the gods of the egyptian egypt was very well known in having all sort of gods with small g that they have worshipped and in gen in exodus 12 and verse 12 we read for i will pass through the land of egypt this night and i will smite listen And all the firstborn of the land of Egypt, both men and beasts, and against, listen to them, all the gods of Egypt, I will execute judgment.

I am the Lord. The Lord will not share his glory with any other man-made gods. He is the only one, as we read, the Lord shall be king over all the earth in that day. and there shall be one Lord, and his name is one. So, beloved brothers and sisters, Zechariah prophetically looking forward for the day that the Feast of Tabernacle will be fulfilled in the coming of the Messiah and establishing a kingdom that will never ever have an end. In Zechariah chapter 14, verse 20 and verse 21, we read that during the Messianic kingdom, there will be, everything will be there, holiness unto the Lord. We read in verse 20, In that day there shall be upon the bells of the horses holiness unto the Lord.

In Hebrew we read it, Kodesh le'adonai, Kodesh le'yehovah. And the pots in the Lord's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judea shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts. And all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them that seeth therein, And in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts. So even the Canaanite will no longer, the Canaanite is a representation of those that opposed the God of Israel. They will no longer be there in the city of Jerusalem, no longer be there in the land to oppose the things of God.

And therefore, Zechariah is looking forward for the future messianic kingdom that is soon enough to come. Now let me conclude with the final verse that I read in Matthew chapter 6. And I would like you just to turn with me to the New Testament, to the Brit HaChadasha. And you can see how Yeshua himself instructed his disciples about the coming kingdom. Again, to remind you, in Matthew 6, there is not yet, the Spirit of God did not descend yet to form the body of Messiah. Yeshua did not die as yet. He was not buried and raised again. He was still ministering to the people of Israel and appealing to them to turn to Him.

So in Matthew 6, actually chapter 5, 6, and 7, He gathered His disciples. the early Hebrew believers, and he said to them, listen, I want you to understand what is going to happen. And I want you to pray for the time when the Messiah will come and Israel as a nation will recognize him. The kingdom has to come because God had promised that. So in Matthew chapter 6, he says to them in verse 9, he says in verse 9, After this manner, therefore, pray. Pray ye, he said to them, Our Father which is in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Notice that, brothers and sisters. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

Notice that, brothers and sisters, that sometimes people amazes me that they read their Bible and they don't believe in a literal messianic kingdom that had been promised by God to be established upon the face of this earth and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah teaching his disciples long before he died and he was buried and rose again long before he ascended unto heaven and sent the Holy Spirit of God to form what is known today as the assembly the body of Messiah he instructing his disciples and he said to them Listen, I want you to pray this way. Our Father, which are in heaven, Abba, Abba, avi sheba shamaim, avinu sheba shamaim.

And he said to them, you know, he said, hello, be thy man. You are a holy God. You are a righteous God. But we long that you will bring the promised kingdom. Notice he's in prayer. He said, thy kingdom come. They don't say our kingdom because the kingdom belonged to the Lord. He is the king. It was he who promised the kingdom. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. Not ours, but thy will be done as it is in heaven. And then they continue to ask all the rest of the request, give us this day our daily bread. And so, beloved brothers and sisters, here we have the sure promise that the kingdom will come.

And the king is none else but the Lord himself, Yeshua the Messiah. And he's going to fulfill this final feast that we have here in the chart that is going to be set before us. And you notice that, again, the millennial age, the kingdom age is going to come, which the feast of booth representing the final messianic age when the king jesus the messiah will come and establish this wonderful kingdom that is to happen in a future day now brothers and sisters can you imagine what's going to happen when the lord going to have his rightful place here in this world. We live in a world that actually the prince of this world, the king of this world, is none else today but Satan himself.

He is the prince and the power of the air. He is the king of this world that blinded the mind of them that believe not the gospel. He is the one that today is blinding the mind of people, telling them don't read the Bible, don't talk about Jesus the messiah don't believe in what god said concerning the future day but he's going he's defeated already at the cross and the lord is coming at his second coming and this satan going to be cast to the lake of fire when the lord yeshua the messiah going to come and establish a kingdom which shall never be it will never have an end daniel prophesied that in daniel chapter 2 about the kingdom that is going to come, the Messianic kingdom.

And what will happen, brothers and sisters, when the Lord is going to rule and reign? We're no longer going to have what is going on today that is going on in the world in which we live in. The constant wars, the constant hatred, hatred and the friction that exists in the world today a king will reign in righteousness and everyone will acknowledge him in the coming day as the prophet Isaiah said and a king shall reign in righteousness and this king is none else but the Lord Jesus the Lord Yeshua the messiah listen to this he came once to pay for the sin of this world but he's coming again to take his rightful place and become the king of kings and lord of lords and it is good for us to be occupied with him to spend our time to serve him to live for him here in this world that is headed into destruction for those that rejected yeshua the messiah thy kingdom come thy will be done as it is in heaven also upon the face of this earth we long for this day we pray for this day can we say amen
