Shalom everyone. Our study today, this ministry meeting, is found in the Gospel of John and the fourth chapter. So I would like you please to turn in your Bible to John Yochanan chapter 4 and the passage that we are going to look into today is found from verse 16 to verse 30. In our previous message together we covered the first 15 verses of Yochanan chapter 4. I would like to read these verses for the benefit of all of us, and so please follow me as I'm reading from verse 16, John 4 and verse 16. Jesus says unto her, this is the Samaritan woman, the Shomronit, go, call thy husband and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband.

Yeshua said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband, for thou hast had five husbands, and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband. In that saidst thou, Truly. The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, and ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where men are to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem shall worship the Father. Ye worship, ye know not what. We know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ. When he come, he will tell us all things. Yeshua saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. And upon this came his disciples, and marveled that he talked with the woman. Yet no man said, What seekest thou, or why talkest thou with her? The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and said to the man, Come, see a man which told me all things that ever I did.

Is not this the Christ, the Mashiach? Then they went out of the city and came unto him. And I would like to stop here, beloved brothers and sisters and dear friend, with verse 30 of John chapter 4. It is extremely encouraging to our hearts as we study the Gospel of John to see how the Lord Himself seeks to reach individuals and draw them unto Himself. Remember that now as we are in the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Yohanan, John, Our Lord, our Messiah, Yeshua, is now ministering as He publicly, speaking to individuals, meeting various persons, reaching the public for Himself, seeking to explain that He indeed is that promised Messiah.

And it is also important to bear in mind as we study the gospel of John that the Lord Yeshua wanted to help our people of all the people of Israel and all those who heard him that he is indeed God the son who enter into this world as a man and now as man he is walking he is living among his own people but he came for the express purpose that he will become the Messiah the anointed the Savior the moshea as it said in Hebrew to become a substitute for the sin of Israel and the sin of the whole world so he this is the Lord Yeshua is on the way to the north to the Galil.

You remember we began in chapter 4 and verse 3, he left Judea and departed again into the Galil, into Galilee. But on the way, as it says in verse 4, and he must needs go through Samaria, through the Shomron, which is present-day West Bank, but it is the area that belonged to. The tribes of Israel during the time that the Lord was upon the face of this earth on the way to the Galil he must go through Samaria we have already mentioned the fact that there was a division between the Shomronim and the Yehudim that means with the northern kingdom and the southern kingdom and Israel as a nation was divided into two kingdoms Israel in the north Yehuda in the south the development of the Samaritans they came about out of a mixture with other nations both kind of mixtures mixture through marriage with the Assyrian who brought many of the nations of the world down into Samaria and left them there to mingle with the people of Israel of course the people of Israel were taken dispersed at 721 bc by the assyrian but those who remain who are mixed they have a mixture of both a physical through marriage but also spiritual believing in the God of the Bible the God of Israel but also believing in all sort of other gods but that's how the development of the samaritan came about and therefore there was.

Not dealing between the Jews who still remain true to the Torah, to the living God, and the Samaritans who departed from the house of David and from the days of old when they were united with the rest of the nation. So now you have this separation between the Samaritans and the Jews, the Shomronim and the Yehudim but when the Lord Jesus came he came to save all he came to pay for the sin of all mankind so he must go through Samaria he just finished to speak to a Jewish man Rabbi of Rabbis a teacher of the Jews by the name of Nakdimon Nicodemus but now he is in the middle of his conversation with this Shomonit this Samaritan woman who have already learned in the first 15 verses of John chapter 4 that here was a man who was a Jewish man that spoke to her that's why she said to him in verse 9 she said to him how is it that you being Jewish a Jewish man.

You ask me which am a samaritan to drink how is it possible because it tells us the Jews have no dealing with the samaritans we have already mentioned the reason for that because the samaritans the northern kingdom of Israel have gone into idolatry and there was a separation then we discovered that she also understood and learned that he was one that is greater than Jacob that's why she said to him in verse 11 to verse 15 you remember what she said to him when Yeshua was speaking with her she did say to him are thou greater than our father Jacob verse well which gave us the well and drank thereof himself and his children and his cattle and then Yeshua said to her remember verse 13 whosoever drinketh of this water of that well well I ask you to drink from he will thirst again but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him this is spiritual water not only the physical water but spiritual water whoever drinkers of the water.

That i will give him shall never thirst but the water that i shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life and that's where we close in our previous ministry, the woman, the Shomoni, the Samaritan woman asked of the Lord, she said, give me this water that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Now to remind you, beloved brothers and sisters, this woman came to draw during the heat of the day. We've already seen it, that she was there at the sixth hour that was the middle of the day in the middle of the heat no one else was there because everyone during the middle of the day in the middle eastern heat of the day everyone was in their tents in their homes in a shade under a tree but to be here seeking for water in the middle of the day there was a reason for that and in the next verses verses 16 to verse 30 we find.

Out the reason why this shomronit this samaritan woman came in the middle of the day when no one was at the well at the bear as we say in Hebrew Jacob's well no one was there but she was alone and the Lord Yeshua was going to lead her to himself that's why we read in verse 4 of this fourth chapter for he must needs go through Samaria as he was desiring to go to the galil to the north of Israel and so she asked him she asked the Lord Yeshua the Messiah she asked him give me sir she said Adonai give me this water that I thirst not neither should I come anymore to draw to this well and now look beloved brothers and sisters and dear friend in verses 16 to 24 the Lord Jesus the Messiah is conversing with her and showing to her that he is a someone who knows everything about her life in reality he knows everything about your life and mine there is nothing that is hidden from him with whom we have to do.

God knows everything about us he knows who we are he knows our condition he knows what we are doing and every time in our life he knows everything about all people why because Yeshua is the eternal son of God to remind you that according to John chapter 20 verse 31 John the apostle wrote and he says these things are written that he might believe that Yeshua is the Messiah and he adds not only that he is the Mashiach but he is the son of God he is God the son he is the son of God he is the eternal son of God eternal God the son ben ha-Elohim who came down in order to become the Redeemer the Savior through his death burial and resurrection so now when she asked him give me this water that i thirst not Yeshua in verses 16 he asked the samaritan woman to go and to call her husband and come.

Notice what it says in verse 16. He said unto her, go, number one, call thy husband, number two, and come hither, come back to here. Go, call your husband, and come back. Come to me, come back to me. Go, call your husband, and come back to me. Well we discover immediately that this shomonit this samaritan woman had many many issues in her life in fact we read in verse 17 the first part of verse 17 the response of the woman she said i have no husband the woman answered us and said i have no husband she paused she stopped here she didn't say all her history she just said i have no husband but it is amazing to see how the Lord knew everything about her she didn't tell him all her life story in fact she didn't tell her that she was married she only told her that she has now no husband and look at an answer of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah in verses 17b and 18 we read in verse 17b Yeshua said unto her thou has well said i have no husband but then verse 18 he continue, for thou hast had five husbands, and he whom thou hast now is not thy husband.

In that saidest thou truly. You said it right, he said to her, I have no husband, because the one that you're living with right now is not even your own husband. But not only so, you have already had five husbands. Now, beloved brothers and sisters, this is amazing, because can you imagine to be married five times and divorce five times and to live with another man now and who knows the history of this woman can you imagine you can see how the condition of this woman was so sad because she was, you might say, a person that is so far away from God. Without, there is no hope.

She has already lived her life in sin. She has experienced five divorces, five marriages, and the one that she lives with now is not even her own husband. And you can see what kind of a life this woman, this Samaritan woman, whose name is not even mentioned here, what kind of a life she must have lived. And you know, it is always amazing to think of the fact that sometime when we look at one another, and when we think of one another, we sometimes almost it says oh there is no hope for him there is no hope for her there is no hope for them look at their sinful state look at what they do look at where they go look at what they think look at what they say look how they act we in a sense seem to have a evaluation of people of one another as if there is no hope for all because of their state.

Well, God sent his son. We have already read in chapter 3. For God so loved the world. That includes a religious man like Nakdimon. That includes sinful women like the Shomroni, the Samaritan woman. That includes you and that includes me who are sinners by nature. It is interesting that when the apostle Shaul Paul wrote to the Romans, he want them to understand that all are guilty before God, no matter the measure of sins that we have committed. We read in Romans 3 and verse 19, Now we know that what things soever the Lord saith, it says to them who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, And all the world may become guilty before God.

In other words, the law, the Torah was given to our forefathers, the people of Israel. What a privilege to receive from a holy God his Torah, his law, his instruction as to the moral conduct in which he expects men to live. It is standard of God's holy moral conduct that he desires from all to live by. But Israel, as well as you and I, my friend, whoever you are, whatever nation you belong to, you and I are declared to be guilty before God because we all have violated the law of the Lord. And the only basis upon which we can receive forgiveness of sins is only on the basis of the sacrificial system that God had instructed his people Israel that pointed to the Mashiach to come.

And here we can see how the Messiah himself who came in the fullness of the time is leading this shomonit who sinned who have lived terrible life but he must go through Samaria because he has an appointment with a sinner that he wants to lead to himself and it may be you and it may be me and it any one of us even if our names are not mentioned at the Samaritan woman's name is not mentioned it is applied to all who have sinned and are willing to turn our hearts to the Lord Yeshua to the God of Israel to the God of creation confessing before him our sins and turning to him and look how wonderful how precious it is to see that the Lord Yeshua the Messiah was on his way to the Galil but he must he must go through the Shomron because he has to speak to one single person and reach her for himself and so we read in this verse 18 he said you have said.

Well verse 17 you have no husband you are right but let me tell you a little bit more about yourself you had five husbands and now the one you live with is not even your husband and you notice that that spoke to the conscience this samaritan woman you can see how he knows everything about her and to remind you that already in the second chapter of the gospel of John of the study that we enjoy so much now in this gospel already in the second chapter we have already read that many believed on him because of the miracles that he had performed in Yerushalayim in the land of Israel but as we have read in John 2 verse 23 when he was in Yerushalayim at the Passover at the feast day many believed on his name when they saw the miracles which he this is Yeshua did but Jesus did not commit himself unto them because he knew all men and needed not that any should testify of men for he knew.

What was in men he knew what was in nicodemus heart and he knew what was in the shomonit and samaritan woman's heart he know what is in your heart and he know what is in my heart and he know all men he know what is in men and that's why he's bringing it out so we will confess before him and turn to him and receive his forgiveness by believing on him and what he had done for us and so we read she was so overwhelmed so we read in verse 19 now of John chapter 4 and the woman says unto him sir i perceive that thou art a prophet she now began to recognize he's not only a Jewish man he's not only one that is a descendant of Jacob but he's also she's seen him a prophet so she said to him in verse 19 sir i perceive that thou art a prophet again to remind you in Deuteronomy chapter 18 Moshe said to all Israel before Israel was divided into the.

Northern kingdom and the southern kingdom before Israel was divided and conflict between the two parts of the very same nation. He already promised through Moshe in Deuteronomy chapter 18 that he will raise a prophet among the people of Israel. And if you remember, this is a precious passages in Deuteronomy chapter 18. He already prophesied in Deuteronomy chapter 18 to all the nation of Israel in verses 15 and verses 18 he said long before Israel was divided the Lord God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee of thy brethren like unto me Moshe said unto him shall ye hearken in other words Israel you are going to hearken unto the prophet that I will raise and here you can see that this Samaritan woman could see that he was a prophet and indeed Yeshua was that prophet of Deuteronomy chapter 18 and verses 15 in verse 18 it also say Deuteronomy 18 18 it says I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like unto thee.

God said to Moshe and will put my words in his mouth and he shall speak unto them all that I shall commend him that him that he that is the Mashiach the Messiah Yeshua himself who is now standing before this Samaritan woman and leading her to understand who he is and that is unique here as he is on the way to the Galil meeting this Samaritan woman by the well of Jacob well beloved brothers and sisters and dear friend in verse 20 the Samaritan woman point to the place where the Samaritans were worshiping and so she said in verse 20 she said our fathers worship in this mountain she of course make a reference to Mount Gerizim Mount Gerizim har gerizim in Hebrew is the mountain upon which God placed the people of Israel in days of old and he appealed to them to choose life to choose to follow after him life and not death you remember this Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, the two mountains, and then he appealed to the people of Israel to choose life and to follow after him.

And so when Israel as a nation was divided into two kingdoms, we know from history that the northern kingdom built a temple on Mount Grizim, and they didn't come any longer to Mount Moriah in Jerusalem to worship God in the temple in Jerusalem so they have established their own religious system in their own way and so here the shomonites saying our fathers worshiped in this mountain this is the northern kingdom of Israel which departed from the southern kingdom departed from the house of David and then he says she's continued but ye say that Jerusalem is the place where men are to worship and you know she's right because the Jewish people were taught that the place to worship according to the Scripture is in that Mount Moriah in the city of Jerusalem this is the place that God have established for Israel the place where he would set his name there and Israel were commanded to come to this place in Jerusalem to worship the Lord we read in Deuteronomy chapter 12 verse 13 and 14 the warning was given.

Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offering in every place that thou seest, but in the place which the Lord shall choose, in one of thy tribes. There thou shall offer thy burnt offering, and there thou shall do all that I command thee. Now of course the reference is to Mount Moriah to the city of Yerushalayim where the temple Beit HaMikdash was built and the Jewish people always brought sacrifice according to the command of God to this location and only to this location. But when there was a departure from the Lord then as it says here in Deuteronomy chapter 12 and verse 13 Israel were warned not to offer the burnt offering in every place where you see but when they did so God had to discipline them and so it was when the nation was divided into two kingdoms Yeruvam the king of the north the king of Israel did build altars golden calves on the mountains in Samaria and in the north of Israel rather than in the city of Yerushalayim rather than coming to the city of Yerushalayim in he did it in Dan he did it in Samaria in Beit El sadly there was a departure from the Lord but now the shomonit saying to Yeshua in these verses our fathers worshiped in this mountain and he said.

That Jerusalem is a place where men are to worship and here the Lord gives her instruction from verse 21 22 23 and 24 the Lord Yeshua the Messiah is giving her this clear instruction first of all to show to her that it's true that the place of worship was in the city of Jerusalem upon that Mount of Moriah, the place where God set for himself. But time passes by over the generation and not only the northern kingdom of Israel departed from God, even now the southern kingdom of Judah departed. And so the Lord introduced before the Samaritan woman the time the period of time in which you and I live in today the days in which the place of worship is not depend anymore and not only in the city of Jerusalem but anywhere where true worshipers will come to faith in Jesus the Messiah and so we read in verse 21 the Lord said to the samaritan woman woman believe me that the hour is coming when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem worship the father notice what he's saying to her the hour is coming soon when he gonna die on that shameful cross when he will pay for the sin of this world and fulfill all that which was promised in days of all when he will become the supreme sacrifice when he will become the Lamb of God which take upon himself the sin of this world they will be no longer dependent upon one place of worship you will need the worship in this mountain, this is Mount Gerizim nor yet in Jerusalem this is the Mount Moriah.

You will no longer need to depend upon these places to worship the father amazing he's teaching something here he's introducing Yeshua introducing something here that is completely showing us that he knew and he wanted to already present it before all who would come to him that there will be an error or a dispensation or a period of time in in a human history that will bring people whether it is from the samaritans of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people and the Gentiles from among the nation of the world into one body in a sense he's pointing to this it hasn't begun that's why he says the hour is coming when ye neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem worship the father in other words it will be this time that will begin when the finished work of the Messiah will come to pass he adding here in verse 22 and the Lord Jesus says ye worship ye know not what we know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews.

Ha-Yeshua hi-meha-Yehudim. Very interesting expression because Yeshua. Salvation in Hebrew, Yeshua is the very name of Jesus, of Yeshua, the same root word. The salvation, the Messiah, the Savior come from the Jewish people. Now, this is interesting because he's really correcting and instructing the Samaritan woman as to the way that God has set it. God has designed the fact throughout history, the human history, that when the deliverer, when the Savior of this world will come, he will come through the Jewish people, through the tribe of Yehudah, And through them, through the Jewish people, the Savior will come for the benefit of all the world. You notice he doesn't say that salvation comes to the world by the Jews.

In other words, it's not that the Jewish people save the Gentiles and others. Oh, no, because the Jewish people, we are all sinners like the nations of the world. None of us have without sin, all our sinners, but the Savior, the Moshe, the Mashiach, the Christos, the Messiah, the Mashiach will come through the Jewish people. And the salvation of the whole world will come through the person of Jesus the Messiah, who is a Jewish man who entered into this world for the purpose of providing redemption. It really reminds me of the many verses that are found in Scripture to show us how it is all promised by divine design in Genesis chapter 3 and verse 15 we find out that that the Messiah is called the seed of the woman zera haisha that means that the Messiah will become a man who will be born to a woman but because he's called the seed of the woman and not the seed of the man he will be a sinless one so God will enter to this world through the virgin who will give birth to the Messiah himself the sinless one will be born of woman that never knew a man that is the woman Miriam that gave birth to Yeshua Jesus the Messiah in Genesis chapter 12 not only that the Messiah will be born through woman and he will become a man but the Messiah will be a descendant of the chosen man the Hebrew man by the name of Avraham Abraham in Genesis chapter 12 God said.

To Abraham now the Lord had said unto Abraham get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy father's house and to a land that I will tell thee and I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee and I will make thy name great and thou shall be a blessing and I will bless them that bless thee and I will curse him that curse thee and notice verse 3 at the end in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Abraham, in thee, in you, all the nations of the earth be blessed. And you notice this is very interesting because the families of the earth will be blessed through Abraham.

And in verse 7 and on, the Lord is speaking about Abraham's seed. And the Lord appeared unto Abraham and said unto thy seed I have given this land so he is leading to the fact that Abraham through his seed will bring blessing to this world so the Lord Jesus is not only the seed of the woman but he is also the seed of Abraham many verses that we can read As we study the book of Genesis, one verse at a time as we study, we can see how beautiful that the Lord had promised to Abraham that he will bring blessing to the world through this man, Abraham, and through his seed.

This is wonderful as we read the remaining passages that are found in the book of Genesis. By the time we move along in the book of Genesis it's not only that the promise has been given to Abraham but also to Isaac it does say in Genesis chapter 21 there is a promise now that Abraham's son Isaac will be the one that through him the Messiah will come in Genesis 21 verse 12 for in Isaac shall thy seed be called God said to Abraham Abraham it is through Isaac thy seed be called later on beloved brothers and sisters in chapter 25 of the book of Genesis it does say in verse 23 to the wife of Isaac who had two nations in her womb the Lord said to her in Genesis 25 verse 23 two nations are in thy womb two many of people shall be separate from thy bowels the one people shall be stronger than the other people and the elder shall serve the younger in other words the younger will be the one that will be that seed whom the elder will serve and through him the Messiah will come and we find out that the younger one was Jacob.

In verse 26 even after that came his brother out and his hand he took hold of Isaac's hill and his name was called Yaakov and so we have Avraham and there we have Yitzhak Isaac and we have Yaakov and now later on when Yaakov became an older man my dear friend he did say in chapter 49 where he wanted to bless the sons of his he had 12 sons and in Genesis chapter 49 we read Jacob called unto his sons and he said gather yourself together that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the latter time or the last day and when he called his son Yehudah Judah that's where you get the name Jews Yehudim from the tribe of Yehudah Judah and what does he say to Judah, Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise.

Thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies. Thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp. From the prey, my son, thou art gone up. He stooped down. He couched as a lion, and as an old lion, who shall rouse him up and then in verse 10 of Genesis chapter 49 we read the scepter shall not depart from Judah nor the lawgiver from between his feet until shiloh shiloh the Mashiach shiloh will come and unto him shall the gathering of the people be so beautiful beloved brothers and sisters the seed of the woman the seed of Abraham the seed of Yitzhak the seed of Yaakov the seed of Yehudah that's how the Messiah was going to come through the Jewish people it is fascinating in the plan and the program of God in first Samuel chapter 16 and verse 1 God said to Samuel and the Lord said unto Samuel how long will thou mourn for Saul?

Saul was the king that was chosen by men but now God said to Saul that in this tribe of Judah through the family of Yishai. Jesse there is one that he had chosen. See he says here I rejected him this is Saul from reigning over Israel fill thine horn with oil and go I will send thee to Yishai to Jesse he was from the tribe of Judah of Bethlehem for I have provided me a king among his sons it says in verse 13 and Samuel took up the horn of oil and he anointed him in the midst of his brethren and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David David from that day forward and Samuel rose up and he went to ramah so now you can see that of the tribe of Judah of the yehudim of the Jews will come the Messiah through the family of David the family of David in second Samuel chapter 7 in verse 8 God said to David.

2 Samuel 7, Now therefore, so shall thou say unto my servant David, David the king, from the tribe of Yehudah, from among the Jews, he says, Thus thou shalt say, The Lord of hosts said unto you, I took thee from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people over Israel. And you know that what he continued and he said to him verse 12 when thy days shall be fulfilled and thou shall sleep with thy fathers I will set up thy seed the seed of David now I will set up thy seed the Mashiach thy seed after thee which shall proceed out of thy bowels and I will establish his kingdom, and he shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever, and I will be his father, and he shall be my son.

Notice that here we have the promise that the Mashiach will come, Ben David, the son of David, that God will establish his kingdom God will establish his house and God will establish his throne forever my dear friend this is why salvation Yeshua says is of the Jews because God have set it in such a way that when the Messiah will come to provide salvation to provide Yeshua to this world he will be of the. Seed of the woman of the seed of Avraham of the seed of Yitzhak of the seed of Yaakov of the seed of yehuda of the seed of David and he will become the one that ultimately will become the king of Israel but he must come to die and to give his life a ransom for many in fact this is exactly how the gospel of Matthew began the book of the generation of Jesus the Messiah the son of David the son of Avraham and you have the genealogy Abraham beget Isaac and Isaac beget Jacob and Jacob beget Judah and his brethren and as you read a little further on where it says in verse 16 and Jacob beget Yosef the husband of mary he was not the father of Jesus but he was the husband of Mary of Miriam because Miriam did not give birth to any children before she first of all was impregnate by the Spirit of God to give birth to the Messiah himself Miriam of whom was.

Born Yeshua who is called Christ the Messiah and you remember beloved friend we read right in the beginning of the gospel of John in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and verse 2 says the same was in the beginning with God verse 3 said all things were made by him and without him was not anything made which was made and then we read in verse 14 and the word this eternal God became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth so now beloved brothers and sisters as we are going back to our fourth chapter and as Yeshua is saying to the samaritan woman woman believe me the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain at mount grizim nor yet at Jerusalem worship the father ye worship ye know not what we know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews ha Yeshua he may ha yehudim the.

Salvation for the world will come through the one that will be born through the Jewish people through the nation of Israel a descendant of Abraham Isaac Jacob Judah and David and he will be the descendant of the Jewish people and so how he is helping her to understand how the Messiah was supposed to come exactly in accordance to the word of God and so in verse 23 and in verse 24 Yeshua continue he said by the hour cometh and now is you see we are now approaching the time When the true worshippers, verse 23 of John 4, shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father seeketh such to worship Him.

God is a spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. In a sense, beloved friend, our Lord Jesus, our Lord Yeshua the Messiah was really introducing something that was just about to begin. Remember, He is in the beginning of His ministry here. Within about three years from now, He will die on a Roman cross. He will be buried and He will rise again and will be ascended to heaven. And he will send the holy Spirit of God and he will form the body of Christ the body of Messiah Israel as a nation did not accept him as he knew and as the prophets foretold in days of old at the first coming Israel was not going to accept the Messiah as Isaiah and others of the prophets foretold but once Israel will be in a time of rejection of the Messiah these early Hebrew believers will preach the message of the gospel and the whole world will hear about this Savior the Messiah the Redeemer and the body of Christ the body of Mashiach the body of Messiah will be form and we already live some 2 000 years since the beginning of the age of the era of the assembly of the ecclesia of the church of the kehila in which we live in today that will come to an end this era will come to an end when the Messiah Jesus will come to restore Israel at the last.

Days at the end of the church age after he will rapture out of here his heavenly company and come down to this earth to restore Israel and to establish the kingdom that is promised by the prophets of all to the nation of Israel but in a meanwhile in these verses verse 23 and 24 the Lord Jesus the Messiah described to this Samaritan woman who you might say have no idea about those things and is so far from the Lord you might say because of her spiritual condition she had five husbands the one she lived with now is not her husband you might say she is in such a sinful state what information does she need to know well the Lord give her information here of course for all of us because we are like her sinners by nature who need the forgiveness of the Lord and the salvation of the Lord so he's instructing her and she of course limited in her understanding she didn't have the whole canon of Scripture like you and i have today beloved.

Friend but what he's telling her apply to this present day age in which you and i live in today what the Lord is telling to this samaritan woman is amazing amazing amazing let me read this again just for the benefit of us all the hour is coming and now is i'm here Yeshua say i'm soon to die to finish the work of redemption and to begin a new era and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father seek as such to worship him God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth now to remind you in every generation true worshipers must worship God in accordance with the holy Spirit's guidance and in truth that's applied to every period of time in history of men in relationship to God but what he's really saying to the Samaritan woman that in this coming era they will no longer need to go to Jerusalem to worship in a temple.

Because he knows also that the temple will not be there anymore in 70 AD so it's no longer limited to one locality anymore not for the samaritan on mount gizim and not for the Jewish people in the city of Yerushalayim but anywhere any place in the world when anyone who is sincerely a true worshiper of God through the person of Yeshua Jesus the Messiah who paid for their sins they can come to him anywhere any place among the nations of the world it remind me of the verse that is found in Matthew chapter 18 and verse 20 Yeshua said to his disciples he says for where two or three are gathered together unto my name Yeshua said there am I in the midst of them even if there is two people or three people who gather unto my name in according to my will then he promised to be in the midst of them and you can just imagine sadly we just read about the the temple in the second chapter that Yeshua took whip and he.

Cast all the money changers and all those who sold and bought in the temple he cast them out of the temple you remember he already have challenged them inside the temple in the city of Yerushalayim and he was not happy with their spiritual state he says take these things hence make not my father's house a house of merchandise you see what happened when things deviate from the ways of the Lord it only causes harm rather than help and that's why he was not happy with the condition that existed in the temple in Yerushalayim but the hour is coming and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth spirit Ruach truth emet spiritual worship and in truth and that's why we are challenged today sadly of course now that we are 2000 years after the foundation of the assembly sadly we must admit that we live in the same kind of condition like it was when the Lord Jesus the Messiah came 2000 years ago And sadly, the church, Christendom, has fallen into the same condition.

Where there is no longer the way that he intended, that the Lord intended it, to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. And many times there is that which is disorderly, that existing in the last days of the Laodicean age. And that's why it is so important for us to ask the Lord to help us, Because of our still old sinful nature, we are inclined to forget that we are called to worship the Father in spirit and also in truth. Now, as we lead towards the end of these verses, notice this, brothers and sisters and dear friends. In verses 25 to 30, the Samaritan woman realized that indeed he was that promised Mashiach.

And so we read in verse 25, the woman said unto him, i know that the Messiah cometh and that he is called Christ or christot in the Greek Mashiach in the Hebrew when he come he will tell us all things now notice i just want to mention this is very important i know the Messiah cometh who is called Christ it's interesting every time the Greek says christos it was taken from the Hebrew Mashiach the Hebrew Mashiach is anointed one and when we translate from the christos Greek into the English saying Christ what we really say Mashiach anointed one in the same way so the Messiah the Mashiach the Christ simply mean the anointed one if you remember in chapter 1 in verse 41 Andrew found his brother Shimon Simon and he said he first finds his own brother Simon and he says we have found the Messiah which is being interpreted the Christ so he was really saying to him in Hebrew we found the Messiah the Messiah who is interpreted in a Greek called Christ christos.

And the English use the word Christ today so whenever we say Christ whenever we say Messiah we really say the Hebrew word Mashiach which means the anointed one ham Mashiach of course today he is in relationship to the assembly to the ecclesia but in the future he will be as a Messiah in relationship to the nation of Israel in a future day when he will gather Israel back to himself and so he said i know that the Messiah will come and he will tell us all things and notice what Yeshua said to her i that speak unto thee am he i am the Messiah i that speak unto you is he it's beautiful in Hebrew it says i that speak unto you am the Messiah am the Mashiach am he this is very precious because every one of us who is coming from the land of Israel from among our people we are waiting for the Mashiach to come many songs have been sung over the generation from a young boy i remember.

How many times we sang when the Mashiach will come when the Messiah will come where is the promises that God had promised to our forefathers and not knowing that a Messiah have already come that his name is Yeshua that Israel as a nation did not accept him at the first coming and that the body of Messiah body of Christ will be formed for this era and that he the Messiah Yeshua will restore one day our people of Israel back to himself this we only have learned when we have been exposed to this wonderful person whose name is Yeshua whose name is Jesus now in these closing verses we find very precious truth we read now in verses 27 to verse 30 that the disciples came they were sent earlier if you remember in verse 8 the disciples were gone away into the city to buy food now we find in verse 27 upon this when he just told the samaritan woman that he is the Messiah he is the Christ he is the Messiah then the disciples came and they were amazed they were.

Marveled that he talked with the woman yet no man said what seekest thou or why dost thou talk us down with her in other words they did not want to ask him why you speak with her because of course there was no dealing with the samaritans the samaritan have gone astray the samaritan have introduced new religion the samaritan was a mixture the samaritan was a believe in Jehovah but also in other idols and other gods in other that which was contrary to the word of God so there was no dealing with a Samaritan and over this generation from about 950 BC until the time that the Lord is here that Yeshua is here 950 years you might say pass by so there was no dealing for nearly a thousand years and so now here is Yeshua is now dealing with this Samaritan woman and so we find out now that the woman after the Lord Yeshua the Messiah said to her I the one that speak to thee am he am the Messiah am the Messiah I am the Messiah the woman left.

It says in verse 28 the woman then left her water pot and went her way into the city and saith unto the man you notice now she came to draw water she should have taken the water with her but she got much more than just physical water that she came to draw from that well she got spiritual water here she discovered in her own soul that this Jewish man have told her that he was the Mashiach and that salvation come through the Jewish people because God have promised that the Messiah will come through the Jewish people and finally here is this Jewish man, the Messiah Yeshua himself, sinless man who is telling her I am the Mashiach i am the Messiah so she left the water pot she went back into the city and now instead of quietly going to the side she is now says unto the man of that city of seichar as we read of this city in verse 5 a city in Samaria which is called seichar most likely shechem shechem and here.

She's speaking out to the men notice it doesn't say to the women to the men apparently again it may had to do with the kind of condition that she had been in involved five husbands the men she lived with not her husband so she go to the men and notice what she tells them in verse 29 come come see a man which told me all things that ever i did is not this the Mashiach the Christ the christos the anointed one come now she beloved friend listen she become like a messenger to proclaim to her people in the cities of Samaritans, come and see a man which told me all things that ever I did.

Is not this the Messiah? Is not this the Messiah? Beautiful. In Hebrew come see a man who told me all things that ever I did is not this the Messiah or can this be the Messiah the anointed one the Christos the Messiah what a wonderful proclamation come come and see a man what an invitation for us all come the Lord is inviting men to come and see and beloved friend when we come and see how precious Yeshua Jesus the Messiah is we found pleasure in knowing him because indeed the Mashiach the anointed one came to provide redemption and because all of us are guilty before God the only one that could pay for the sin of this world and the sin of each and every one of us was he because he was that sinless one he was the one of whom we read all we like sheep have gone astray we have turned everyone to his own way but the Lord laid upon him the iniquity of us all Isaiah 53 and verse 6.

My question to you have you come to know him have you come to see did you come to see that man notice it says here about him as a man he often call himself Yeshua I am the son of man ben ha-Adam he became a man so he can die as man so he can be punished as man for the sin of all men all humanity so he will pay for the sin so after he died and was buried shed his blood and rose again he became now the Redeemer the Messiah as he said to the samaritan woman i that you speak with am that Messiah i am he and so verse 30 then they went out of the city and came unto him you notice that the very same woman sinner from the shomronim from the samaritan the Lord Yeshua used her now to become a vessel a vessel to draw others to himself and so she did and she invited come and see a man who have told me all that i ever did.

Is not this the Messiah the Messiah the Christ the Savior and they came and they now came unto him And we're going to continue on in the will of the Lord with what went on in the next verses of chapter 4. For verse 35, further towards the end of the chapter, you can see how Yeshua is drawing to himself one by one. And people came, including many among the Samaritans, to come to know that Yeshua indeed is the promised Messiah. Wonderful, wonderful passage that we had before us.
