Shalom, my dear friends, dear brothers and sisters, and dear friends. We are studying the interesting gospel of John Yohanan and we have arrived to chapter 15 and in this ministry meeting we will continue from verse 18 to the end of the chapter John 15 verses 18 to 27 In these verses, the Lord, Yeshua Ham Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah, continues in the instruction that he gives to his disciples, his Talmidim, in the upper room and we might say on the way to the Garden of Gethsemane. In Hebrew, Gat Shmanim, the garden of Gat Shmanim, there will the Lord Jesus the Messiah will anticipate his death on the shameful altar on the Roman cross where he is anticipating to be, you might say, pressed all the way through when he will ultimately die on the shameful cross for your sins and mine.

to fulfill that which was prophesied years ago by the prophets of Israel. From verse 18 we read, John 15, 18, Yeshua continues to speak to his disciples and he says, If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own. But because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin.

But now they have no cloak for their sin He that hateth me hateth my father also If I had not done among them the works which none other men did They had not had sin But now have they both seen and hated both me and my father but this cometh to pass that a word might be fulfilled that is written in their law they hated me without a cause but when the comforter is come whom I will send unto you from the father even the spirit of truth which proceedeth from the father he shall testify of me and he also shall bear witness because he have been with me from the beginning now beloved brothers

and sisters here in this portion john chapter 15 verses 18 to 27 the lord yeshua jesus the messiah continues with his ministry to his disciples because he is just about to depart and to go back to the father to the abba in glory in heaven how he will go back to the father from where he came well he has to go via the cross he will have to die to fulfill that which was spoken of him in the hebrew prophets all we like sheep have gone astray we have turned everyone to his own way but the lord laid upon him that is the mashiach the messiah the iniquities of us all well if you and

i and if any man in this world will ever will be able to receive forgiveness of sins sin must be paid for and therefore yeshua the messiah will go now to the cross but he is now in the upper room with his disciples in the city of yerushalayim he just concluded with the feast of pesach passover celebrating with them saying to them with desire have desire to eat this passover with you before i suffer then he introduced what is known to be the remembrance of him when he took the matzah the unleavened bread and he took the cup the wine and he said take this is my body which had been given for you do

this in remembrance of me he took the cup the cup of redemption and he said take pass it from one to another drink of it this is the blood of the new covenant in my name which is shed for you and he is on the way to shed his precious blood on the cross these are really the last hours in his life here as we are here in john chapter 15 in the upper room in the city of Yerushalayim anticipating now to be captured from the garden of gethsemane the garden of gothshmanim where the the olives is being pressed and oil comes out where he's anticipating to be pressed where god will press him where

god will judge him where god will judge this holy man the sinless one for the sin of this world and he is in anticipation for this he is now sharing with his disciples these words of encouragement and that he wanted them to understand that they as much as everyone that belonged to God God's people will experience opposition from a world that reject God and reject his Mashiach his anointed one to remind you that in the second psalm we do read as the psalmist of israel wrote and he says why do the heathen rage and the people imagine vain things the kings of the earth said themselves and the rulers take counsel together against jehovah against

the lord and against his anointed saying the word anointed is the hebrew word mashiach mashiach his mashiach his anointed one why do the heathen reign why do the people imagine vain thing why do the kings of the earth set themselves and why the rulers take counsel together against the lord and against the mashiach well why because the world rejected god you and i before we became believers in the lord jesus the messiah we rejected him also and the holy spirit of god touched our hearts and opened our eyes to see that we have sinned and we need forgiveness of sins and that yeshua came to pay for our sins that's why we love him because

he first loved us the world said Psalm 2, 3 let us break their bends asunder and cast away their cords from us the human race do not want God's boundaries the human race do not want God's commandments and instructions and guidelines because we all have gone astray by nature and so in this second half of john chapter 15 yeshua the messiah is adding to the instruction that he have already given to the disciples in the beginning of the chapter verses 1 to 11 of john 15 he wanted to to instruct the disciples that the god's people are looked upon as branches that belong to the geffen to the vine and they need to abide in

the vine they have privileges but they have responsibilities that's why god disciplined his own people secondly in verses 12 to 17 which we have also covered of john chapter 15 god's people looked upon as friends he called us friends yeshua the messiah he calls us friends we are the friends of the lord and friends need to obey their master their lord and so now in verses 18 to 27 of john chapter 15 the lord jesus the lord yeshua is instructing the disciples with this truth that god's people will experience opposition from the world as he himself have experienced opposition from the time that he began to minister in his public ministry until the time that

he died on a shameful Roman cross and so you notice that when Yeshua began here in verse 18 he said if the world hate you you know that it hated me before it hated you notice that he used the word the world not limited to israel it's not limited to the jewish leaders it's the whole world the unregenerated human race the unsaved and unredeemed world rejecting and hating god and again to remind us all beloved brothers and sisters lest we point our fingers at others you and I were there by nature we've already read this in John chapter 3 where the Lord Jesus himself said in verse 19 that men love darkness rather than light

in John chapter 3 we did also read a little bit earlier that this is the condemnation we have already read earlier in this chapter that the condemnation is that men do not want the light this is the condemnation that light is coming to the world but men love darkness rather than light and you see that's why Yeshua the Messiah in the city of Jerusalem explaining to his disciples listen this is what will happen now that I'm departing and I'm soon to return back to my Abba to glory to heaven now you will experience also opposition and I want you to know he said to them in verse 18 if the world hates you you know

that it hated me before it hated you why because when these early hebrew believers followed him they are affiliated with yeshua with jesus the messiah and whoever hates him whoever hates yeshua jesus will hate those that follow him it always was so throughout the history of Israel Israel the people of God the chosen people those who wanted to oppose God Satan hates God and God's ways and God's people hated the Jewish people the nation of Israel as a nation now those who will become believers part of the ecclesia the church who will been chosen by God as we have already read in the previous verses of John chapter 15 where Yeshua said ye have not

chosen me but I have chosen you and ordain you that ye should go and bring forth fruit that your fruit should remain that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name he may give it unto you he was he was the one that had chosen every one of us who became a believer in the Lord Jesus the Messiah and became part of the assembly the church the true assembly of the redeemed people well the assembly will experience the opposition because the god of this world satan hates god and god's people and so if we reflect throughout the gospel of john the lord jesus himself said if the world hates you you know that

it hated me before you because all throughout his public ministry he experienced opposition by those who were not believers to remind you that in chapter 5 and verse 16 therefore did the jews persecute yeshua the jews in the gospel of john always have a reference to the jewish leaders to remind you again it is important to understand that in the gospel of john the word jews mentioned over 70 times and most of the time it applied to the religious leaders of the day because he himself was a jew the disciples were jews the people were jews so when we read the word jews it's the jewish leaders they sought to slay him according to verse

16 in john chapter 7 we do read again in verse 19 Moses gave you the law and yet none of you keep us the law or why go ye about to kill me a little bit later in verse 25 then said some of them of jerusalem is not this he whom they seek to kill my dear friend if the lord jesus is going to come today to this world in which you and i live in today anywhere in this world man by nature sinful man will seek to put him away to kill him the heart of man haven't changed the human race haven't changed we all have fallen into that condition and unless god save

us and we see how much god loves us and what he was willing to do in order to provide redemption for us we by nature hate god and hate god's son the messiah we read in john 8 37 i know that yeah abraham seed why ye seek to kill me constantly he was experiencing opposition in his life in verse 59 we read then john 8 verse 59 then they took up stone to cast at him but yeshua hid himself and went out of the temple this is what he experienced throughout his life in his ministry in chapter 9 and verse 22 we read these words speak his parents because they fear the Jews for the

Jews had agreed already that if any man did confer that he was the Messiah he should be put out of the synagogue and of course in chapter 11 we have already read this and there we read in verse 8 his disciples said to him master the jews of late sought two stone thee and goes down hither again to remind you that the events in which we find ourselves in the study of the gospel of john happen to be in the land of israel and if the messiah will come today to any portion of this world men by nature would hate him and will seek to kill him just as it happened in days of old

and so now those that will follow him Yeshua is telling the disciples that the world will hate you because it hated me before it hated you you see how sad how sad it is we marvel why is it why because what what has he done in order for our hearts to hate him so much well we learn again that it is has to do with the human nature that we all possess the same apostle john who wrote us the gospel of john by divine inspiration and who wrote the words of the Lord Jesus the Messiah as he recorded it in John chapter 15.

He wrote later on in his epistle in 1 John chapter 3. He himself wrote to the believers later on. He said, marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you, we know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren he that loveth not his brother abideth in death whosoever haters his brother is a murderer and he know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him it is fascinating to see how john yohanan the apostle who who gave us the gospel of john and and recorded the words of the lord jesus the messiah in john 13 14 15 16 and 17 he shows us that this is so possible because of the human nature to hate the believers the brethren one another that's why he says that the evident that we love the lord is when we love the brethren because there is a change happen and the person become born again and as he or she walk in the power of the spirit of god they will not fulfill the last of the flesh they will walk in the spirit and they will love the brethren even though the believers are all failing people like all of us and so what a lesson we learn from Just this one verse in John 15 and verse 18.

How many the grace of God to understand that when the world hates us, it is because the world hates Yeshua, hates God. In verse 19, Yeshua, Jesus, continued to say to his disciples, If ye were of the world, the world would have loved its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. The Greek word here for the word world is cosmos. And cosmos also has to do with the world system. And because the world system is headed up by the God of this world, the small g, namely Satan, So the world and its system do not want God, the true and living God.

Do not want the Mashiach, the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One. And that's why in verse 19, Yeshua continued to say, you know, you are hated because you are not belonging to this world. You see, beloved brothers and sisters, that you and I have been transferred from this world of darkness to another kingdom, the kingdom of the Son of His love. We belong now to Yeshua the Messiah. This is so wonderful to know that we have been transferred to another kingdom, to the kingdom of the Son of God's love. We read in Colossians 1, verse 12 and 13, giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us, the believers now in Yeshua, made us to meet or suitable to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

On what basis? Verse 13. On a basis of the fact that He, this is God, this is the Lord Jesus, who has delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son or the Son of God's love in whom we have redemption through His blood and what we have, the forgiveness of sins.

Yeshua forgave our sins when He died for us on the tree and so He is preparing them in the upper room he's on his way to the garden of gethsemane and from there to be taken to caiaphas and from caiaphas to pilate and for pilate to be to be taken to be executed to be hung on a roman tree and a roman cross and there to say my god my god why has thou forsaken me where holy and a righteous god forsook a sinless man because of the sin of this world so yeshua remind the disciples and reminding you and i if we were in the world the world would have love is on but

because we are not of the world he says i've chosen you out of the world therefore the world hates you again notice that the word here in verse 19 because i have chosen you we read already in verse 16 of john 15 you have not chosen me but i have chosen you you know beloved friend unless the lord have chosen us we will never come to the lord we have been chosen in christ in the messiah before the foundation of the world and in time by the spirit of god we have been wooed in we have been drawn in and god by his spirit have drawn us to see our condition and turn our hearts

to him and that's why today we belong to him by the grace of God we are not part of this world even though we live here we enjoy the many blessings that the Lord provided for us here in this world and we thank God for placing us here in this world but this system they do not want God we are no longer belong to it because we have been transferred from this kingdom here of this world that headed up by satan to the kingdom of the son of god's love and who is this son of god's love is the mashiach himself to remind you that in john chapter 20 we read in verse 30 and

31 and many other signs truly did jesus in the presence of his disciples which are not written in this book but these are reading that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ that Yeshua is the Mashiach the Son of God Ben HaElohim and that believing ye might have life through His name wonderful to know that we belong to Yeshua the Messiah we have been transferred to belong to the kingdom of the Son of God's love the Lord continue here now in John 15 and verse 20 and he is now addressing his disciples by way of encouragement to tell them remember the word that I said unto you that the servant is not greater than

his Lord you have already told them this earlier in the upper room of course in the early part of this deliberation in chapter 13 verses 13 to 17 if they have persecuted me they will also persecute you if they have kept my saying they will keep yours also but all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake because they know not him that sent me so the lord jesus the messiah is reminding the disciples that already earlier remember the words which i said unto you and he has a reference here to chapter 13 where he have said to them at the time when he was washing their feet he said ye call

me master and lord and ye say well for so i am if i then your lord this is adon and master this is your rabbi if i wash your feet he also ought to wash one another's feet so he's instructing them with the fact that he is their lord and that the servant is not greater than his lord and therefore if they have persecuted yeshua they will also persecute the believers who follow who are the servant of Yeshua if they have kept my saying they would have kept yours as well but all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake because they knew not him that sent me that's of course remind

us beloved brothers and sisters and dear friends of the time a little bit later in the early days of the birth of the assembly when the kehila the called out one the church the ecclesia was born in act chapter 2 the early hebrew believers have experienced persecution they've experienced rejection when they were testifying for the person of the lord jesus the messiah to remind you that in john chapter 15 where we study the lord he desiring to remind once and again the disciples that he have already told them that as they follow him they will experience rejection and persecution to remind you that in the gospel of matthew before the upper room day you might

say have arrived in the day of Passover earlier the Lord Jesus the Messiah have explained this to the disciples in the Galil as well as in Jerusalem he was telling them fear ye not therefore ye are of more value than many sparrows whosoever therefore shall confess me before men him will I confess also before my father which is in heaven this is Matthew 10 verses 31-32 he continues in verse 33 but whosoever shall deny me before men him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven think not that I am come to send shalom on earth I came not to send shalom peace but sword for I am come to set men

at variance against his father and a daughter against her mother and a daughter's-in-law against her mother-in-law and a man's four shall be they of his own household he that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me he that taketh not his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me he that findeth his life shall lose it and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it he that receiveth you receiveth me and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me he that receiveth a prophet in the name of the prophet shall receive

a prophet's reward but he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward and whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple verily I said to you he shall in no wise lose his reward so following the Lord identifying with his name a time will mean that there will be even opposition from those whom we love even our own family father or mother or brother or sister or daughter or son or father-in-law or mother-in-law a man's foe shall be they of his own household yeshua prepared these early hebrew disciples to experience

as they would follow after him and here in John chapter 15 Yeshua said to them this is verse 20 if they have persecuted me they will also persecute you if they have kept my saying they will keep yours also and then verse 21 but all these things will they do unto you notice that for my name's sake why because they know not him that sent me in act chapter 5 in verse 41 we read they departed from the presence of the council rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name it is unbelievable how the early days as it is today in this world in which we live in the name of

Yeshua the name of Jesus is rejected in a world in which we live in today sad to see how the name of the Lord Jesus the Messiah is rejected to remind you beloved brothers and sisters that the disciples the early disciples were told not to speak in the name of Jesus in the name of Yeshua but you remember what Peter said in the city of Jerusalem in Acts chapter 4 we read verse 8 filled with the Holy Spirit And he said unto them, Ye rulers of the people and elders of Israel, if we this day examine of the good deed done to the impotent man by what means he is made whole, be it known

unto all and to all the people of Israel.

we can say to all the people of the world by the name of Yeshua Hamashiach Jesus Christ Yeshua Hamashiach of Nazareth whom ye crucified whom God raised from the dead even by him does this man stand here before you whole this is the stone which was set at naught by you builders which is become the head of the corner notice what we read in verse 12 of Acts chapter 4, neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Remember, we already read in John 14, 6, Yeshua said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

No one come to the Father but by me. there is none other name the name of Yeshua the name of Jesus under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved there is no salvation except through him but Satan hates God and hates God's people and therefore Satan do not want the name of Yeshua to be presented here in this world and that's why the Lord preparing the disciples in the Aperum, in the city of Yerushalayim, and he's really speaking to us all to be reminded of this truth that the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, he said, they will also persecute you.

Verse 21, all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake. This is verse 21. Why? Because they know not him that sent me how amazing and how true it is think about the whole persecution of the assembly the assembly simply mean the church the church simply mean the called out one the called out one simply mean the ecclesia all those who were called by the lord to believe in the lord jesus the messiah and become part of the redeemed company during these days of the church age which will come to an end very soon we live in the last days of the church age of the assembly age soon will the lord come to rapture his own people but you think about the last 2 000 years of church history the true believers always were persecuted either by the world or by the false church by the religious world the political world over the religious world who claim to follow him but do not and so we continue here in verse 22 and 23 and 24 Yeshua said if I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin.

But now they have no clock or no excuse for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin. but now have they both seen and hated both me and my father notice that in these three verses yeshua is really explaining that the purpose that he came to this world is in order that he will expose the sin that's existing in the world in which we live in And we know that the sin was in the world already when Adam fell into sin. When Adam in the garden of Eden disobeyed God and plunged the whole human race into sin.

But what we learned that now God, who have already said to Adam that through the seed of the woman, the Messiah will come, who will be the seed of the woman, finally the seed of the woman came. And he came and he revealed the reality of the fact that man is a sinner by nature. And that there is no excuse, no clock for their sin. No excuse because sin is being exposed because the Messiah has come. And you would think that when a Mashiach comes, who is a sinless one, who never sinned, in him there is no sin. He knew no sin. He did no sin.

No one can convict him of sin. He is the holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners. God the son who became a man born to the virgin Miriam in the city of Bethlehem. He was the sinless one. So when the sinless one lived here in this world for these 33 and a half years and yet man still hates him when finally someone who is a sinless person come into this world it's only exposing the reality of the human nature if i had not come verse 22 of john 15 and spoken unto them they had not had seen in other words here now i came the sinless one and spoken spoke to mankind he he spoke 2000 years ago when he was here he's speaking today to us in this world in which we live in today and if he would not exhibit himself before mankind you might say all of us are sinners we have no excuse because we can look at each other we can care compare each other one with another all have sinned but when the sinless one came and still man hates him it shows the condition of the human heart exposed before the holy and the righteous one and so Yeshua is saying if I did not come well men might have a clock an excuse because everybody they can look at each other and say we are all the same but then he continued and he said but now they have no excuse for their sin.

And they hated him. And oh, how sad it is. Beloved friend, this is so important for us to understand. You know, we pray that the Holy Spirit of God will help all men to understand that we are sinners by nature and that we need forgiveness from a holy God.

and that God entered into this world in the person of his son and that this man by the name of Yeshua he is God the son he lived a perfect life here and he came to die to pay for us and one might think that the world would love him one might think that the world that you and I would be so happy that he came and yet the fact is that in spite of the fact that light came into this world yet men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil and that's why by nature we hated him and that's why when one hates the Messiah one also hates God the Father

and then verse 24 of John 15 Yeshua continued and he said if I had not done among them the works which none other men did they had not had sin but now they watched it and yet they have hated both me and my father imagine the many many miracles that the Lord Jesus the Messiah have done here in this world it's incredible he turned the water into wine he healed the sick he fed the multitude he walked on the water he healed the blind man he raised the dead he has done so much when he was here on earth to show the proof that he is the promised Messiah according to Isaiah chapter 35 when

the prophet Isaiah spoke concerning the coming of the Messiah Isaiah did say that when the Messiah will come The eyes of the blind shall be opened.

The ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. The lame men shall leap. The tongue of the dumb shall sing. Amazing. So that's why Yeshua said, If I had not done among them the works, this is the miracles, the signs, which none other men did, they had not had sin on them in other words now they have seen yeshua in his life they have experienced his presence in their midst and yet rejected just to apply this to us today if yeshua jesus the messiah would have been in our midst today in any country in any nation in this world and make all these miracles the human hearts will do the very same thing of the rejection of the messiahship of yeshua hating both me and my father how sad how sad but then we continue and he's explaining the lord jesus the messiah explaining But this comes to pass.

Why it comes to pass? That the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, in the Torah. The Torah that God gave to the people of Israel. There it is written concerning the fact that they hated him without a cause. You see, in Psalm 35, in verse 19, we do read the words that the psalmist is speaking about. He says, let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me, neither let them wink with their eyes that hate me without a cause.

why do men hate others without a cause well the law showing that this is the condition of the heart this is what is called sin the sin nature the psalmist in psalm 69 of course it is a psalm of david but prophetically speaking about the messiah in verse 4 we read they that hate me without a cause are more than the heirs of mine head they that would destroy me being mine enemies wrongfully are mighty then I restore that which I took not away see David is sharing his problem when he had experienced opposition but to remind you my dear friends that David, Melech Israel David the king of Israel is a picture a beautiful

type of Yeshua the Messiah who is the son of David Ben David and Ben David the son of David David's greater son have experienced hatred without a cause and those who hated the Lord without a cause are more than the hair of mine head he said they would that would destroy me being mine enemies wrongfully they are mighty they're against me and you notice this beloved brothers and sisters and dear friends all the way to the time when yeshua died he had opposition from those who hated him when he was lifted up between heaven and earth on that cross we do read of the opposition by all by those that pass by by the religious

leaders by the soldiers even by the two malefactors they hated me without a cause how sad they hated me without a cause to be hated for no reason is grieving the heart in Hebrew we say sinat chinam san'uni sinat chinam san'uni they hated me without a cause that tells us that the human nature hates God love darkness rather than light is at enmity against God the natural man is at enmity against God my dear friend had we understood it it will help us to grasp the fact that it is beyond measure the love of God for us loved us even unto death when Yeshua came down to this world how it should touch our hearts

to see of the love that came to us by God remember what we already read John 3 and verse 16 for God so loved the world notice that contrast between John 3 16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son look what we read in john 15 and verse 25 but this cometh to pass that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law they hated me without a cause so man hates god without a cause Yet God loves men and the cause is he gave his son in order to save us, to redeem us.

That touch our hearts, that move us. That's why John later on says we love and we love him. Why? Because he first loved us. And why we love him is because he touched our heart by the spirit of God and he turned his hatred that we had by nature and remove it from us and place the love of God that constrains us. That's what we learn here from John chapter 15 in verses 23, 24, and 25. He that hateth me hateth my father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin. But now have they both seen and hated both me and my father.

But this comes to pass that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, in the Torah, in the law, genesis exodus leviticus numbers the toronomy this is the torah and then you have the the lord the prophet the nevi'im and the writing the ketuvim we have it in the whole word of god to show us the human nature and man hates without a cause and that teaches us the important lesson that we as believers are to love others we are to love the world not the system but the human race not the evil system but the mankind we are to love the brethren we are even to love our enemies as Yeshua

taught this in the sermon on the mount God's people are called to love and to be different after they have come to accept Yeshua Jesus the Messiah and become part and parcel of the redeemed company and now beloved brothers and sisters the last two verses of John chapter 15 we read in verse 26 first of all but when the comforter or the helper or the perakletos in the Greek or in Hebrew hamelitz when the melitz when the comforter is come this is the Holy Spirit of God which I will send unto you from the Father even the spirit of truth which proceeds from the father he shall testify of me in other words Yeshua is

preparing the disciples to receive the person of the holy spirit of God which will be sent from the father down to unite the believers into one body and to indwell to indwell in every true believers who is born again born from above but also to lead and to testify concerning Jesus the Messiah you see in John 14 verse 16 we read I will pray the father and he will give you an In other words, he is preparing the disciples to accept the Holy Spirit of God.

Another person of the Godhead, God the Holy Spirit, who will come now to indwell every true believer.

he will come now to unite the body the believers into one body and to indwell in every true believer to be born of the spirit of God except the man be born of the spirit born again he cannot enter cannot see the kingdom of God and therefore when the Holy Spirit of God will come what will be the ministry of the spirit of god not to testify of himself no the holy spirit of god will always direct the attention of those that belong to the lord jesus the messiah to him to yeshua to jesus he will testify of me and you notice the holy spirit of god is called now the second time the spirit

of truth in john 14 verse 17 even the spirit of truth john 15 verse 26 even the spirit of truth the spirit of truth is proceeding from the father you notice beloved brothers and sisters in verse 26 we see that triune godhead but when the comforter is come that's the holy spirit of god whom i will send unto you this is god the son yeshua himself from the father this is god the father here we see the the abba the ben the ruach the father the son the spirit and what will be the ministry of the holy spirit of god is to testify of me beloved brothers and sisters the ministry of the holy spirit

of god is not to testify of himself no he is a person he is divine but the ministry of the holy spirit of god is to constantly a direct attention of all those who belong to yeshua the messiah to yeshua to jesus not to anyone else even not to himself that's the ministry of the holy spirit of god wonderful to know in Hebrew Ruach ha-Elohim.

Ruach ha-Elohim. Wonderful to know that as we read this passage.

Now you notice that we find a few things that are very important here in verse 26 that the Holy Spirit of god is the one that is going to testify of the lord jesus and you notice the verse 26 it says he not it but he shall testify of me because the holy spirit of god is god god the holy spirit and god the holy spirit is a divine person is one of the persons of the triune god therefore we read not it shall testify of me the person of the holy spirit is not an it he is a person a divine person he shall testify of me and now notice what we read in

verse 27 and that's the last verse for this ministry meeting of john chapter 15 and ye also shall bear witness because ye have been with me from the beginning very interesting that the spirit of God will use the disciples and all those that have trusted in the Lord to bear witness of the person of the Lord Jesus and those early disciples are called to be witnesses and they were the one that were with jesus the messiah from the beginning to remind you that as we read later on in the gospel as the end of the gospel ended and the lord have gone to heaven and he promised that the holy spirit of god will come

and so in act chapter 1 and verse 8 yeshua said after his resurrection before his ascension he said to the very same disciple But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehudah, and in all the Shomron, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

Acts chapter 1 and verse 8 So, who is the Holy Spirit of God? Well, we learn very quickly that He is a divine person. God the Spirit is a divine person. He is not an it, but a he. In John 15 verse 26, we see all the three persons of the Godhead mentioned. God's people are to walk in the spirit, to worship in the power of the spirit, and to witness in the power of the Holy Spirit. That's why at the end of this 15th chapter, Yeshua said, ye shall also bear witness. So God's people are to walk in the spirit, Galatians 5.16, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the last of the flesh.

God's people are to worship in the power of the Spirit of God. As Philippians chapter 3 and verse 3 said, For we are the circumcision which worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in the Messiah, Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. God's people are to walk in the Spirit, to worship in the Spirit, but also here are to witness in the Spirit. As we read in Acts 1 verse 8, ye shall be my witnesses after the Holy Spirit of God will come upon you. So, God the Holy Spirit is a divine person. He is the one that's leading God's people to walk and to worship and to witness in His power.

Because without His power, God's people are powerless. In fact, a few things that we learn from the Word of God concerning the Holy Spirit of God. His omnipresence, as we read in Psalm 139, verses 7 and 8. He is in every place. From where will I run from thy spirit? The psalmist said in Psalm 139, verses 7 and 8. The Holy Spirit of God is not only omnipresent, but He's omniscient. He knows all things. As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 2, and verses 10 and 11, and I'll read you these verses. In verse 10, But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yet the deep things of God.

For what man know is the things of man, save the Spirit of man, which is in him. Even so the things of God knoweth no man but by the Spirit of God. So God the Holy Spirit is omnipresent. He is every place. He is omniscient. He knows all things. And also God the Holy Spirit is a person because one can grieve the Holy Spirit of God. As we read in Ephesians chapter 4 and verse 30. And you remember what the Apostle Paul said in verse 30. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. In other words, there is a possibility for us who are believers when we live in sin.

When we dishonor the Lord that we will grieve Him. Because He is a person. He is a divine person. Also later on, Paul said to the Thessalonians in 1 Thessalonians 5 and verse 19, not only that we can grieve him, the person of the Holy Spirit of God, but we can quench him in 1 Thessalonians 5 and verse 19. we read quenched not the spirit so we can individually grieve him when sin comes into our life but we collectively can quench his ministry when we grieve him and quench the liberty that he may have to use us among the people of God so God the Holy Spirit is not only that he is in every place He knows all things, but he also, all powerful as well, but he is also, he's able to be grieved when sin come into our life or to be quenched when there is no submissiveness to him and therefore no liberty for him to use us among the people of God.

God the Holy Spirit is also intercedes for God's people he is the one that is interceding when you and I are in a need and we are crying to God and we don't even know sometime what to ask from God God the Holy Spirit is the one who intercedes on our behalf as we read in Romans 8 verse 26 and verse 27 likewise the spirit also helps our infirmity for we know not what we should pray for as we are but the spirit itself make us intercession for have for us with groaning which cannot be uttered amazing when you read that and he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the spirit

because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of god so beloved brothers and sisters the holy spirit of god making intercession he is interceding on our behalf and he was groaning which you and i cannot even utter but he does it on our behalf this is the person of the holy spirit of god god the holy spirit is the one that gave us gifts in the ministry according to first corinthian chapter 12 we read from verse 7 to 11 that it is but the manifestation of the spirit is the holy spirit is given to every man to profit with us for the one is given by the spirit the word of wisdom

to another the word of knowledge by the same spirit to another faith by the same spirit to another the gift of healing of this by the same spirit to another worker of miracle to another prophecies to another discerning the spirit to another diverse kind of tongues or languages to another interpretation of languages but all these workers that one and the self same spirit dividing to every man severally as he will you see the holy spirit of god is not only that he's in every place that he knows all things that he's all powerful but he's also can be grieved he can be quenched He is the one that is interceded on behalf of you and

me, of God's people.

But he is also the one who gave us gifts to serve God in a ministry among God's people. But here, beloved brothers and sisters, in John chapter 14 and 15, God, the Holy Spirit, is also a comforter. He is a paracletus. He is the one that gives counsel to God's people, and that's where we end here in John 15, verses 26 and 27, where Yeshua said to the disciples, But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, Ruach HaEmet in Hebrew, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me, and he also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

How wonderful, how wonderful it is for us to get a hold of that which Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, is seeking to teach the disciples in those days when he was still on earth. And you and I, as we read the text from the Word of God, that the Spirit of God is the one that's seeking to give us counsel and to guide us and to comfort us and be a helper when we experience opposition here in this world until the day that we will be taken to be with our Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, in glory. glory. What a wonderful day is awaiting for all of us who belong to the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.
