Shalom, my dear friends. We are studying together this Gospel that is called the Gospel of John. This John's Gospel is the Gospel that presents before us Jesus the Messiah as the Eternal Son, as the One that came from the Father, as the Creator of the universe, who is God the Son, who became a man, who became a man and took union, humanity with His divine nature. And once and again, He's presenting Himself here in this Gospel of Yohanan, that is John, as the One that came from Heaven. This Gospel is very important to study because any believer in the Lord Jesus, the Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, must be assured of the fact that the one we believe on, namely Yeshua, HaMashiach, Jesus, the Messiah, the one we believe on is more than just another man.

He is more than just another religious man, political man, or another man that has power, a rich man, another man that has authority. He is much more than all the greatest men that ever lived upon the face of this earth. This truth must be understood by all in order to grasp the fact that in order for one to be redeemed, be forgiven and saved and have eternal life. Any one of us who are born in sin, we must accept God's provision for the human race. This is essential, my dear friend, for all to understand if we are to grasp the fact that He is the one that is presenting Himself before us as the Savior of sinners.

And so we have arrived to the 10th chapter of the Gospel of John. And in this 10th chapter, we are seeing the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, as the one that is, number one, the Dor, number two, the Good Shepherd, and number three, the Son of God. He said of Himself, I am the Door, and He would say of Himself, I am the Son of God. He said of Himself, I am the Good Shepherd, and He would say of Himself, I am the Son of God. He is indeed equal with God, who said in this 10th chapter, He will proclaim the fact that I am the Son of God.

He is equal with God the Father. I and my Father are one. So I would like in this message, beloved brothers and sisters and dear friends, to present before us, to read for us today in this ministry meeting the first 10 verses. And in these 10 verses, we learn about the person of our Lord Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah, who present Himself as the Good Shepherd that enter into this world in a right way. And so we read in verses 1 to 10, Yeshua is speaking to the same group of people with whom He was speaking in chapter 9. He went out of the temple at the end of chapter 8. He passed by as He was going out of the temple by a man that was once blind.

He healed this blind man. And the whole chapter 9 presented before us the liberation between Yeshua and the Pharisees, and the one that was blind and was healed, and his parents, and the Jewish population in the city of Jerusalem. And as we enter into chapter 10, Yeshua, the Messiah, presenting Himself now as Jesus, the one that enters into this world according to the prescribed instruction given to the people of Israel in the Hebrew Scriptures. And notice what we read in verse 1. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the potter opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he puteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. And a stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto them, but they understood not what things they were which He spake unto them. Then said Yeshua unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers. But the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. By me, if any man enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture. The thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. I am going to stop here with the reading of the first 10 verses. In the next verse, verse 11, Yeshua said of himself, I am the good shepherd. Anni hu haro'e hatov. But we haven't arrived to verse 11 and we're going to speak in this ministry meeting about the first 10 verses where the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, presenting himself as the door, the door of the sheepfold.

He is the one that is the door of the sheepfold. He is the one that enter in through the right way through the door. Now, I would like to just mention a few important points for all of us to bear in mind as we study here this John's gospel, especially this 10th chapter. In the Hebrew scriptures, remember, beloved friend, that in this context, the Lord Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah, came to his own people to offer himself to Israel as the shepherd of Israel. He was the one that was promised to come to the nation of Israel and be the one that will ultimately restore the nation of Israel back to God.

Remember, in Psalm 80, we read concerning him in Psalm 80, Asaph said, Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock, thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth, the psalmist of Israel said. And he is calling God, the shepherd of Israel, longing for him to hear, to shine forth, and to give ear to his cry, to his call, to Israel's call for him. Well, here, beloved friends and dear brothers and sisters, the true shepherd of Israel finally came now into the midst of his own people. And sadly, Israel, as it was predicted through the prophets, especially through the prophet Yeshua, Isaiah, Israel would not recognize him at his first coming as a nation.

And they would not accept him as the Messiah, as we have already seen that the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the spiritual leaders of Israel, even in the previous chapter nine, They were not pleased with the fact that he was the one that healed that blind man, that gave him sight, and that he was indeed the one that came from heaven. And they didn't recognize it and didn't accept him. And so, if you remember, they said unto this blind man in chapter nine, they said unto the blind man, What sayest thou of him which hath opened your eyes? And you remember, he said, he is a prophet.

He recognized, the one that was blind, recognized that he was indeed a prophet, that he is the one that was uniquely was able to heal him from his blindness. But the spiritual leaders of Israel did not accept him. So, they continue now in the tenth chapter. And in this tenth chapter, we are presented with the ongoing conversation between Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah, the true shepherd of Israel, and the Pharisees who did not lead the people of Israel aright. And that's why they are the one who refused to accept Yeshua, Jesus, as the true Messiah, the true shepherd. And so, we read here that in the whole chapter here, we learn that this chapter presents the person of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, as the true shepherd in contrast with the Pharisees who were really not the true shepherds for Israel.

And that sadly, when we think about it, how sadly when the history of Israel or even the history of the church, when there are those who rise up or lead the people of God astray and do not lead them by the still water where there is green grass to be fed and be led on in the right way, how sad it is in the history of humanity when there were risen those that were false, were not true shepherds of God's people who led God's people astray. So, also in this chapter, the Lord Jesus declared of Himself really three declarations. He presents Himself in three ways.

In the first ten verses, He is calling Himself, I am the door. In verses 11 to 21, He calls Himself, I am the good shepherd. And in verses 22 to the end of the chapter, verse 42, He is calling Himself, I am the Son of God, Anihu ben ha-Elohim. So, it is important to learn from here the conflict that He had now with the spiritual leaders of Israel. You know, beloved friend, that in Israel's history, leaders, according to Genesis chapter 46, they were always called shepherds. If you remember the verse in Genesis chapter 46, I just want to read for you this verse. In verse 34, it says, "...that ye shall say, thy servant's trade has been about cattle from our youth, even until now, both we and also our fathers, that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians." And if you remember, it was this that we read concerning the servants of Israel, that we read in the Genesis chapter 46 and verse 34, "...ye shall say, thy servant's trade which has been about cattle from our youth, even until now." Both we, this is the leaders of Israel, the 12 sons of Jacob, and our fathers, both were shepherds who took care of the flock in the history of Israel.

And it is throughout the history of God's people, the leaders are always, whether it is in Israel's history or church history, the leaders are called shepherds, while the people that are following them called flock. That's how we see that in the scripture, Genesis 46 and verse 34. And so to remind you, Abraham was a shepherd, Genesis chapter 13. Isaac was a shepherd, Genesis chapter 24. Jacob, Jacob was a shepherd. Genesis chapter 31. Moshe was a shepherd. If you remember in Exodus, that he was taking care of the flock, and of him, even Isaiah mentioned in chapter 63, that he was a shepherd. David, David, Melech Israel, the king of Israel, 1 Samuel 16, and 1 Samuel chapter 17, he was also called a shepherd.

But the shepherd of shepherd, it was none else but God himself. He is the one that is indeed the shepherd of Israel. In fact, David called the Lord in Psalm 23, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in clean pasture. He leadeth me beside the still water. He restores my soul. He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake. Yet though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou, this is God the shepherd, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Thou anointest my head with oil. My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. David says in Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd. Adonai roi lo echsar. I shall not want. So here, beloved brothers and sisters, Yeshua himself presenting in the whole chapter here as the one who is the good shepherd, the shepherd of Israel. But now notice, he began in the first 10 verses to speak of the fact that he, as the good shepherd, entered into the fold of Israel in a right way. And so you notice, in verses 1 to 10, we are presented here by the fact that the Lord, Yeshua, the Messiah, is the one that came into the sheepfold by the door.

And he became the door. Notice what we read. In verses 1 to 5, the true shepherd, if God is going to send the Mashiach, the Messiah, into this world in order to redeem mankind, he must come into this world in a right way, through the door. He must enter into this sheepfold through the door. In other words, in accordance with the prophetic instruction given to us in the Word of God. He must come to this world God's way and not man's way. He must enter into this world in a way that is prescribed for us in the Tanakh, in the Hebrew Scriptures. So you notice, in verse 1, Yeshua saying, Verily, verily, I say unto you, who is the you?

In chapter 9, and verse 40, some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words and said unto him, Are we blind also? And Jesus said unto them in verse 41, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin. But now ye say we see, therefore your sin remaineth. In other words, he is speaking to the Pharisees, to the spiritual leaders of Israel who should be the shepherds of Israel, the shepherds that will lead Israel in the right way according to the prescribed instruction in the Torah and in the whole Tanakh, the whole Torah, Nevi'im, Ketuvim, the law, the prophets, and the writing. But what happened is that they say that they can see and they really became blind because they themselves did not submit to the instruction that the Scripture gives us concerning the coming of the Messiah.

How he will come into this world? Where he will be born? Through which family he going to come into this world? Through which, will he be through the tribe of Yehudah and through the family of Jesse? How will he enter into this world? How will he live in this world? What he will accomplish here in this world? Scripture, the Hebrew Scripture, clearly prescribed this for the nation of Israel and for all humanity today. And so, the Lord Jesus said to them in verse 1, Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that enter not by the door into the sheepfold, but he climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

In other words, when the Messiah would come into this world into the sheepfold and in the context of the sheepfold here is the house of Israel. God promised the nation of Israel that one day the Messiah, the Mashiach will come who is going to be the shepherd of Israel, who is going to be the seed of the woman according to Genesis chapter 3 in verse 15, that he will be the seed of Abraham according to Genesis chapter 12, that he will be the descendant of Judah according to Genesis 49 in verse 10, that he will be born of a woman, the Emmanuel, according to Isaiah 7 verse 14, and Isaiah chapter 9 in verse 6, that he will be the child that is born and the son that he is given, that he will be born to the virgin Miriam in the city of Bethlehem according to Micah 5 in verse 1 and 2, and that he will be a servant throughout his life according to Isaiah chapter 42, and that he will truly be the one that will come in exact prescribed way in which God gave to the prophets of Israel in the Hebrew scripture.

And so the Lord is saying to them, verily, verily, I say unto you who claim to be leading Israel as shepherds over the sheep, the true shepherd, he, and notice this expression, he that enters, the word he is applied to the one who already claim in the earlier verses in chapter 9 that he said, does thou believe on the son of God? He claimed to be the son of God, God the son. And so he that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but he climbing up some other way, the same is really not the shepherd, he is a thief, and he is a robber.

He is a thief and he is a robber. He that do not enter into the sheepfold by the door is a false shepherd. the Hebrew prophets clearly presented the way whereby the true shepherd, the Messiah, will enter into this world. Let me remind you what we read in Genesis chapter 49 concerning the king of Israel. We read when Jacob who called all his sons and he gathered them together, then he told them what will befall you in the last days. Then he gave blessing to every son, every son of his, but when he arrived to Yehuda, Judah, he said in verse 10, the scepter shall not depart from Yehuda nor the law giver from between his feet until Shiloh, Shiloh come, and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

You see, Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah, will be the one who will gather his flock. He will gather his people. He will gather the redeemed. Whether it is from among the nation of Israel, whether it is from among the church, the assembly today, he will gather his people. In every period of time in human history, it is the Messiah, Jesus, Yeshua, that will gather people unto him. He said, come unto me, all ye that labor, and I have you laden, and I will give you rest. He is inviting all to come to him. And so, he is telling, he is speaking with the spiritual leaders of Israel, and he is saying to them, he that enters not by the door, and the door, beloved, brothers and sisters, and dear friend, the context here, the door is the prescribes instruction given in the word of God.

God said how the Mashiach will be born and enter into this world. And if someone claimed to be the shepherd of Israel, if someone claimed to be the Mashiach, the Messiah, the anointed one, and he doesn't enter into this world according to the prescribed instruction given to us in the Hebrew scripture, he is a false shepherd. He is a false shepherd. This is exactly what the Antichrist, the counterfeit Messiah, is going to claim in the days of the tribulation period. He will claim to be God. He will claim to be the Messiah.

He will claim to be divine as 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 tells us by the word of the Lord through the apostle Shaul Paul who said in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 Let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come except there shall be a falling away first and the men of sin shall be revealed the son of perdition 2 Thessalonians 2 and verse 3 and now verse 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped so that he as God siteth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God but he's the false Mashiach and any other shepherd in the history of

humanity any other shepherd who was supposed to direct the people to the Lord to God and when they don't do so there are false shepherds and anyone who claims throughout history that they are the Mashiach the anointed one in reality there are false messiahs there are false Christ there are false shepherds and here we find out the one who entered in exactly in accordance with the right prescribed word of God found for us in the Hebrew scriptures it is fascinating how John even after the time when the church was born John said in his epistles teaching the assemblies the church he said beloved 1st John 4 beloved believe not every spirit but try the spirits

whether they are of God because many false prophets have gone out into the world it was already instructed the early assembly church saints have already instructed the church concerning this just like in the history of Israel the prophets warn Israel because of the false ones that will rise up in the days to claim to be the shepherds or to claim to be the Christ the Messiah and here we have these warnings that are given to us in the scripture so the Lord is clearly saying Yeshua is clearly saying to the Pharisees who did not lead Israel aright that he that cometh not by the door of the sheep but he climbs up another way he

is a thief and he is a robber so here he presenting Jesus the Messiah presents himself as the true person the Messiah who came through the door he continues in verse 2 and he speaks about himself but he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep he that came in by the door and again the door is to remind you my dear friend in the context of John 10 the door is clearly has to do with the prophetic word of God spoken by the prophets of Israel in days of old to give signs as to how and when the Messiah the Redeemer the Savior of this world will come and as

that pastor Paul says in Galatians chapter 4 and verse 4 that in the fullness of the time God sent forth his son made or born of a woman this is born of Miriam born under the law he came exactly as the law prescribed and he was living in the midst of the nation of Israel and then the purpose behind it was that he might redeem them that were under the law that is exactly what Yeshua is seeking to present before the Pharisees and he is saying that he is the one that came by the door and that he is indeed the shepherd of the sheep he is indeed the shepherd of the sheep in Hebrew

we call it Ro'eh Hatzon the one who care for the flock the one who will take the flock and lead them the one who will take care of God's people the one who will minister to them amazing how beautiful to see here this presentation by the Lord himself and so we continue and in verse three the Yeshua is continued to show them that the true shepherd to the true shepherd the potter the doorkeeper opened the door he opened the door and you see you remember beloved brothers and sisters and dear friend the responsible door keepers should have opened the door and let the Lord Yeshua the Messiah be accepted by the nation but sadly they

didn't and so God had to send someone else John the baptizer to be the one that will open the door before Yeshua Jesus the Messiah because the Pharisees would not do so and so we read in verse 3 to him the potter openeth and the sheep hear his voice and he calleth his own sheep by name and leadeth them out now to remind you dear brothers and sisters that the potter in the context of John 10 in verse 3 is the Hebrew word shoer shoer is a person who takes care of the gate the one who are keeping the gates safe that no wolf and no one that is a thief or robber will come

to take the flock and to harm them and so the potter's responsibility is to protect the flock from robbers from thieves from any animal that will try to harm them but here the Pharisees were in a sense responsible over the nation of Israel but in reality they did not open the door they did not allow the Lord Jesus the Messiah to be accepted by the nation of Israel but the one and notice the word for potter here is singular and here in the context we understand that this is none else but John John the baptizer of him he said in John 1 and verse 15 John bear witness of him and he cried saying this

was he of whom I spake he that cometh after me is preferred before me for he was before me and of his fullness have all we received and grace for grace for the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Yeshua Jesus Christ no man have seen God at any time the only begotten son which is in the bosom of the father he has declared him so John the baptizer in John 1 15 on is the one who is presenting and opening the door by presenting before Israel the true shepherd of Israel he bore witness said the one that come after me is actually preferred before me why because he existed before

me he is the eternal God the son who entered into this world you remember what we read in verse 14 of John 1 and the word became flesh and the mimra in the Hebrew the logos in the Greek he became flesh and he dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth God entered into this world through the virgin Miriam he is the true shepherd of the sheep that's why Yeshua continues and he is saying to the leaders to the Pharisees he says he will be the one that the potter will open to him and the sheep will hear his voice true

individuals within the nation of Israel who have trusted that Yeshua Jesus is indeed the promised Messiah according to the word of God they will hear his voice they have heard and they still hear today those whom God have called from among the nation of Israel who are part of the sheep fold remember Israel was a sheep fold enclosure separating Israel from all other nations of the world the church is not a sheep fold the church is a flock is a moving company for the assembly for the ecclesia for the church for the for the present day company of redeemed the church is not a fold the assembly are a flock is a flock that following

the Lord Jesus and heaven is the home of the present day church saints but Israel was a fold that was enclosed separated from all other nations so the messiah had first of all to come to the sheep fold to his own people of Israel and then he is now building what is known to be the church and the word church ecclesia simply mean called out ones ones that are called out from the sheep fold of Israel and out from the nations of the world and together they are making a flock that following Yeshua the messiah in this present day age of the church age once these days are going to be over God will restore

the people of Israel back to their sheep fold through the nation and through them he will bless all the nations of the world it's always good to distinguish Israel and the assembly the church Israel is a sheep fold the church is a flock Israel is an earthly nation that is called by God the church is a heavenly company of redeemed chosen by God it is important to see and here is the Lord helping us in some small way to understand here even before the church was born and Yeshua is saying to hear the porter open verse 3 and the sheep hear his voice and notice that what we read and he calls his own sheep

by name every believer from among the nation of Israel who are part of the sheepfold he calling them one by one with their own name and then notice that and he leads them out now you see this is so interesting that here the Lord gave us already you might say prelude to what's going to happen during this age in which we live in today Yeshua Jesus the Messiah telling the Pharisees that he's going to call the sheep from among the nation of Israel out not that they will not care and love the people of Israel no but he's calling them out because those from among Israel who will not accept him as the Mashiach they

will lose out they will not be part of the flock of a redeemed people who belong to the called out ones and so here's the Lord Jesus the Messiah is already explaining that they will be called out you notice beloved friend already in verse 34 of chapter 9 the one that was blind he was cast out remember verse 34 they cast him out you see they cast him out sadly out of the synagogue and yet the Lord is now calling others out of that which is not based upon the truth of the word of God and so he continued here it's so interesting because the Lord Jesus the Messiah gonna call his own by name

name you remember it remind me of John 20 when the Lord Jesus the Messiah called Miriam by name in John 20 and verse 16 Jesus we read says unto her Miriam Mary Miriam and she turned her servant and he says unto him Rabboni my Rabbi which is to say my teacher and you remember Miriam who was waiting there by his sepulcher because she asked where did you take my Lord where have you taken away my Lord verse 13 of John chapter 20 she was so concerned for the body of the Lord Jesus the Messiah and when he called her he called her by name Miriam Mary Miriam in Hebrew interesting to see how beautiful it

is when the Lord Jesus calling us by name he called you by name he called me by name each and every one of us he called us by name to follow after him and to live here in this world for him and to follow him Isaiah tells us in chapter 43 concerning Israel's future but now thus says the Lord that created thee all Jacob he called Israel in Israel's name and as he that formeth thee all Israel fear not for I have redeemed thee I have called thee by by thy name thou art mine this is when Israel as a nation will be restored God named Israel from among all the other nations of the

world the prince of God sara sara is he he is calling the nation individuals and collectively thou art mine I have called thee by thy name beautiful to see beloved brothers and sisters so here in John chapter 10 the Lord is explaining here that he is not only calling his own sheep by name but he is also going to lead them out why because whoever believe in the Lord Jesus the Messiah will become part of the assembly when the assembly the church the ecclesia will be born while it was a mystery hidden God and the people of the day in which Yeshua have lived among our of old Israel they had no idea about the

church age in which you and I live in today but we can see some glimpse here in this passage that the Lord Jesus the Messiah is seeking to mention this to the Pharisees to tell them listen you will see that the sheep that I will call by name I will call them out they will no longer follow that which you teach a verse that is very important to read in the book of Corinthians which the apostle Shaul Paul explained to us the way in which things are today this present day of the church age we find out in verse 32 of 1st Corinthians chapter 10 we read this verse give none offense neither to the

Jews this is the nation of Israel and the Jewish people nor to the Gentiles this is the nation from all the nations of the world but then he added the third group nor to the assembly of God why because the assembly of God the ecclesia the called out one the church of God is a composition of Jewish believers in Yeshua the Messiah who came out of the nation of Israel meaning spiritually speaking they are heavenly company and those people that came out from among the nations of the world spiritually speaking they coming out and they are part of the ecclesia called out one the assembly of God first Corinthians chapter 10 and verse 32 well

let's go back to our chapter and now we read notice that in verse 4 the Lord continue and we read here he said when when he put forth his own sheep he goes before them and the sheep follow him for they know his voice you notice now that the sheep from among the nation of Israel from the sheepfold who will come out they are not entering into another sheepfold sadly to say that in this church age in which we live in there are so many names and groups of people with various views in Christendom that formed another sheepfold but we never read here that they are sheepfold because the people of God are called to

be a flock following the Lord not following any group of people with any name and title that they give to themselves no or certain leader that produced for himself a certain entity no and the Messiah the shepherd is leading the sheep and he goes before them and then we read that the sheep follow him for they know his voice following the shepherd following the shepherd the Lord Jesus the Messiah now he became the shepherd of the sheep and the sheep are his flock and the flock is a representation here of the assembly the church the ecclesia in these days of the church age and all true believers following him following after him and his name

and not after all sort of man made names that sadly in these days and age in which we live in have been set forth before us hundreds and maybe thousands of names of professing church groups in Christendom that adopted certain names and people began to be part of this name or that name or another name rather than following after the Lord and we all are in that same condition today and we need God's grace to help us in this present day to follow after the Lord and to gather and to follow after his person you remember what Yeshua said in Matthew chapter 18 and verse 20 where two or three are gathered together unto my

name he promised to be in the midst of those who are gathered together unto his name and following his name Yeshua Hamashiach Jesus the Messiah not after man made name so we read in verse 5 and a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him for they know not the voice of a stranger and a stranger is one that the sheep are to be alert to be very careful not to follow after that stranger to remind you the apostle Paul have already warned the people of God if you remember in Acts chapter 20 the apostle Paul knew that that's what's going to happen in these days in which we live in the church

age he said in Acts chapter 20 verse 28 Paul said it warning the elders from Ephesus he said to them take heed therefore unto yourselves and unto all the flock over the which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to feed the church of God which he has purchased with his own blood for I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you not sparing the flock and he had also of your own selves shall men arise speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them what a warning the apostle had given to the elders of the city of Ephesus later on the same apostle Paul said in 2nd Corinthians in

chapter 11 he said from verse 13 these words listen to this beloved brothers and sisters he warned them in verse 13 of 2nd Corinthians chapter 11 and the apostle Paul said for such speaking about the false apostles false prophets false leaders he says for such false apostles deceitful workers transforming themselves into an apostles of Christ and oh marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light therefore it is no great thing if these ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works and so beloved brothers and sisters in the first five verses of John chapter 10 the Lord Jesus the Messiah presenting himself as the

one that has the true shepherd who enter into the sheepfold of Israel through the door of the prescribed instruction given to the nation of Israel in the Hebrew scripture he was clearly the one that came as the seed of the woman as the seed of Abraham as the seed of David as the seed of Yehudah as the Emmanuel according to Isaiah as a son that was given and a child that was born as the one that was born in the city of Bethlehem and as the one who is the servant of Jehovah as Isaiah prescribed and there are many other passages that we can read in other portions of the word of God so now

in the next verses 6 7 8 9 and 10 the true shepherd is also not only that he enter by the door of God's word he is now also becoming the door of salvation to those that will believe on him and let me repeat it so we will not misunderstand it first five verses of John chapter 10 Yeshua presented himself as the one who came into the sheepfold of Israel through the door and that door in the first five verses of John 10 is the teaching prophetic word given to Israel in the Hebrew scriptures now in the next verses verses 6 to 10 the Lord is turning around and he is not only presenting himself

as the one that entered in by the door but now he presenting himself as the door itself and the door here in verses 6 to 10 is the door of salvation is the door of redemption that if anyone want to become child of God that if anyone want to be redeemed and forgiven that anyone would want to be one that his sins have been paid for the basis upon which he can come into this great salvation is through the person of Yeshua Jesus the Messiah who became now the door of salvation in Hebrew we call it door ha Yeshua door delet ha Yeshua so we read in verse 6 the Lord is speaking a parable

now you notice here the Greek word is not parabolo really here in verse 6 it's a different word in Greek paro mia in Hebrew still the same mashal the word mashal is a proverb or parable or an illustration very similar to a parable but the word in the Greek here is paroi mia which simply means picture story a mashal is an example very similar to a parable and yet not the same Greek word but the lesson is given to us here in verse 6 we read this parable spake Jesus unto them but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them in other words the first five verses were really given as

a picture story here is the door here is the shepherd here is the sheep fold and there are sheep the flock inside the fold and one that come in open the door receive an entrance to go through the door come in and is leading his own sheep by name leading them out here is like a story that Yeshua is giving an example here to the Pharisees and to the leaders of Israel now after he gave them this parable in verse 6 this story then in verse 7 to 10 he continued to tell them he is now saying of himself that he is the door himself so we read then said Yeshua unto them again verily

verily I said to you I am the door of the sheep you notice that he is now saying I am the door of the sheep in other words the door of the sheep to be able to come out to exit out of the sheep fold and he is the way whereby the sheep from among the nation of Israel will be able to come into a relationship with God not through the Pharisees and the Sadducees who didn't follow the prescribed instruction given in the Hebrew prophets he the Lord Jesus himself say now I am the door of the sheep door of exit for anyone from among the nation of Israel who want to come out into

receiving salvation because beloved friend remember that throughout the history of Israel God gave Israel instruction he gave the Torah to the nation of Israel to our people of all through the Torah through the Torah gave instruction how to live life godly life and when Israeli or anyone who failed to fulfill the Torah God also gave the sacrificial system and every time an animal was killed placed on an altar in the tabernacle or in the temple that blood was shed remind Israel again and again the Mashiach is coming the Mashiach is coming the shepherd of Israel is going to come one day and he will pay for the price of our own sin and he will

redeem us all the feasts that God gave to Israel were given for Israel as a picture book to Messiah will come and will redeem you from your sins and all the seven feasts of the Lord were given to Israel as a picture lesson to live a life that is separated unto God until the time will come when there will be a kingdom when the Messiah will reign and rule and Israel under the Messiah will enjoy a time of a kingdom that will never end as the prophet Daniel in Daniel chapter 2 and Daniel chapter 7 and so all these instructions were given but now when the nation headed up by the Pharisees the religious leaders

did not accept the Messiah well the door to come out was through the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah and the door to come out or to come into salvation and relationship with God is found in the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah so this is fascinating my dear beloved friend Yeshua now speaking of this parable they didn't understand it so he's now saying I am the door of salvation and so we read in verse 8 all that ever came before me are thieves and robbers but the sheep did not hear them he's looking back at the history and Yeshua said the true shepherds of Israel would always lead to the coming redeemer

to the Messiah but all that came before and did not lead the nation they are really thieves and robbers they are the one who caused the nation to go astray and we look throughout scripture we can see how often times sadly there were those that rose in the history that did not lead the people of Israel in the right way I'm thinking of the passage that is found in the prophet Yechezkel Ezekiel of the false shepherd you remember what we read in Ezekiel chapter 34 and the word of the Lord came unto me saying Ezekiel said in verse 1 son of man verse 2 prophesy against the shepherds of Israel prophesy and say unto them

thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves should not the shepherd feed the flocks ye eat the fat ye close you with the wool ye kill them that are fed but ye feed not the flock in other words he is accusing the false shepherds of all he he he he said in verse four the disease have ye not strengthened neither have ye healed that which was sick neither have ye bound up that which was broken neither have ye brought again that which was driven away neither have ye sought that which was lost but with force and with cruelty ye have ruled them see how

sadly the Lord is speaking against the false shepherds in the history of Israel and then he says a bit later on in verse 11 for thus says the Lord God behold I even I will both search my sheep and seek them out as a shepherd seek out his flock in the days that he is among his sheep that are scattered so will I seek out my sheep and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day and I will bring them out look at what he is planning to do for the nation of Israel that have been scattered I will bring them out from the

people and I will gather them from the country and I will bring them to their own land this is the land of Canaan the land of Israel and feed them among the mountains of Israel by the rivers and in all the inhabited places of the country I will feed them in a good pasture and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be there shall they lie in a good fold and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel this is wonderful promise that God gave to Yechezkel concerning the second coming of the Messiah and the restoration of Israel at the future day from our point of time and it

is fascinating to see the warning and so Yeshua Jesus the Messiah did say in these verses that all that came before me those are the false shepherds of Israel that were not leading the nation in the right way thank God there were many who did lead the nation arrived like Moshe and like Yehoshua and like many others in the history of Israel who were leading the flock in the right way praise God for these men of God who led them in the right way but sadly there were those who also led the nation of Israel in the wrong way and they were not the true shepherds that supposed to lead the nation in the right

way you know beloved brothers and sisters it is so true that even today we have to learn from that because there is a warning that has been given concerning false shepherds in our days of the church aid as well those that will lead God's people astray you remember what we read in 1st John chapter 2 John wrote that in verse 18 he said little children it is the last time and as ye have heard that the antichrist shall come the counterfeit messiah will come the false messiah will come whereby we know that we are the last time they went out from us they were not of us for if they had been of us they

would no doubt have continued with us but they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us amazing what John is writing verse 20 said but but he have an unction from the holy one and he know all things I have not written unto you because he know not the truth but because he know it and that no lies of the truth who is a liar but he that denies that Yeshua is the Messiah he is antichrist that denies the father and the son denial of the divine nature of the Lord Jesus the Messiah denial of the triunity of the Lord Jesus of the Godhead is an antichrist one

is against the Messiah against he is a false one he is against the truth of the word of God and so we read and I'm back to John chapter 10 and we read in the next verse in verses 9 and 10 here is the words of the Lord to the Pharisee I am the door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture the thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly here in these last two verses of this ministry beloved friend and dear brothers

and sisters the Lord Yeshua Jesus the Messiah say of himself I am the door by me only by him if any man notice that by me if any man enter in he shall be saved in other words to enter into a relationship with God and receive salvation it's only on a basis of faith in the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah himself salvation is through the person of Yeshua HaMashiach that's why he says I am the door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved and not only so he shall go in and out and find pasture find food for the soul in other words God redeemed people they are able

to be fed by him as we live here in this world to be fed by the Lord who also elsewhere in John 6 says I am the bread of life I am the bread of life then later on he says I am the light of the world but now he is saying I am the door I am the door and that anyone who want to get saved who want to receive salvation he goes through him you remember John 14 6 I am the way the truth and the life no one come to the father but by me you remember Acts 4 verse 12 there is no other name given among men whereby we must be

saved there is no other way my dear friend it is only through the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah who called himself in John 10 and verse 9 I am the door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved he or she shall be saved it is through him and not through other person entering into salvation must be done through him through the person of the Lord and he is the door of salvation and then in verse 10 he concludes he says really the thief he cometh not but the thief cometh only to steal only to kill only to destroy that's what the false messiah the false prophets the false leaders

do the only purpose behind that they are coming only to destroy only to kill only to steal and he concluded he said but I am come that they might have life chayim chayim and that this life they might have it more abundantly usefulness and joyfulness and fruitfulness in life when a person is a child of God he or she have joy have usefulness have a life enjoyable life because they are not only forgiven and saved for time and for eternity but they have a purpose in life my dear friend there is a purpose in life when we come to know the person of the Lord Jesus the Messiah so it is fascinating when we think

of what the Lord is presenting here before us in this portion notice in John 6 33 for the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven to give life unto this world life unto the world that's the reason that Yeshua Jesus the Messiah came to this world in in John 7 and verse 37 in the last day of the great feast Jesus stood and he cried saying if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink he that believeth on me as the scripture saith out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water this is speak of the spirit which they that believe on him should receive for the holy spirit

was not yet given because that Jesus was not yet glorified he that believeth on me as the scripture said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water my dear friend this is fascinating in John 10 28 Yeshua will continue later on to say and I give unto him eternal life and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand my dear friend what a wonderful redeemer we have what a wonderful shepherd we have and here in verses 1 to 10 the Lord Jesus the Messiah presenting himself first of all as he entered through the door in accordance with God's word and secondly he became the door the door

of salvation to anyone who would believe on him and I trust today that as you hear my voice that you have paused and consider the invitation of Lord Jesus to come to him and acknowledge him as the door that by him any man will enter in he will be saved so my encouragement to you my dear friend and to all of us thank God for us who are believers that we will be occupied with the person of the Lord Jesus Yeshua the Messiah who loved us and came into this world in order to become the shepherd and the savior of sinners praise God for who he is and for what the Lord Jesus the Messiah
