Okay shalom everyone can we please turn to the book of Hebrews again this is our next session in the study of the book of Hebrews today we are continuing in the fourth chapter Hebrews chapter four and we are studying in our reading from verse 14 Hebrews 4 14 we have the next passage that deal with the superiority of Yeshua the Messiah. He is already, we have learned, superior than the angels, chapter 1 and chapter 2. We have learned also that he is superior over Moses, chapter 3 till chapter 4 and verse 13. This long portion from chapter 4 verse 14 to chapter 10 and verse 18 we see the superiority of Yeshua the Messiah but this time is over aaron the high priest he's greater than aaron he's superior than aaron and in this long section chapter 4 14 to chapter 10 18 we can see that he is superior in his priesthood than Aaron, the high priest of our people of old Israel.

In this section, which will take a while to cover, we can also see that he received a greater covenant. He has a greater position than Aaron. You will see that he is greater than Aaron in many, many ways. And in the midst of this section, you will find out that there are also additional warnings that have been given by the writer to the Hebrew believers to continue on and a warning that they need to move forward in their spiritual maturity, even though the nation of Israel is a nation, their own nation, their own people, our own families, have not yet come to faith in the Messiahship of Yeshua.

The portion that I'm going to read today, in chapter 4, verse 14, but there we see that the Messiah, Yeshua, is greater than Aaron, the high priest. It's like an introduction to the rest of the chapters, up to chapter 10 and verse 18. So let me read the passage. I begin from verse 14. Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Yeshua the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession or our confession, for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need i'm stopping here with the reading for today Hebrews 4 verse 14 this is the passage that we have before us this moment now let me refresh your mind beloved brothers and sisters we have covered the portion if you remember in the last meetings together Hebrews 3 7 to chapter 4 and verse 13 it was if you remember the second warnings that the writer gave to these first century Jewish believers in Yeshua the Messiah and that was the warning not only do not neglect but this time don't doubt believe what God said.

Don't doubt but believe what God said because when God said he's going to fulfill his word and even if you are being influenced even if you are going under tremendous amounts of pressure because you believe in the Messiah don't doubt the word of God believe what the Lord is saying why because he said today if you hear his word do not harden your heart as in the provocation here those Hebrew believers received the information which their forefathers have doubted if you remember when Israel was on the way from Egypt to Canaan their fathers Christians doubted the word of God and because of unbelief the generations that did not believe end up to die in the desert and not to enter into Canaan.

Now their death in the desert does not mean it's not a picture of an eternal death it's a picture of the physical death and even in a sense a lack of the enjoyment of the things of the Lord for the believer in this present day. Remember I said last time that Canaan is not heaven for us in Canaan Israel had many fights many struggles many trials in the land of Canaan for us Canaan is the spiritual experience as we walk with the Lord and every time we take possession of the piece of land that belongs to us spiritual land if you will spiritual blessings that God had given to us we take it and we enjoy what we have already what God had promised to us but we can enjoy it today while we are still on our way to heaven so he gave them warning he said today if you hear his voice do not harden your heart and if you remember by the way the last two verses we read in Hebrews chapter 4 was these very piercing words in the Bible verses 12 and 13 the word of God is quick and powerful and sharp as two-edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the.

Joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intent of the heart neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his side but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we the writer and the readers have to do so the last two verses that we have read in chapter 4 and verse 12 and 13 verses that he challenged not the unbelievers here in context the believers those the Hebrew believers that belong to Yeshua the Messiah he tell them listen God's word is quick God's word is living operative God's word is sharper is powerful and it's sharper than two-inch sword and it's able to pierce to divide asunder the soul and the spirit and it's able to discern the thoughts and the intents of the hearts what he's really telling us is simply this what God says in his word is not going to change the word of God convict the believer the word of God discern where the believer is standing whether the believer is.

Seeking really to trust the Lord and believe what God says the Messiah follower the christian the follower of Yeshua at times because of unbelief lacking the enjoyment of spiritual growth and the word of God detected do you know that God's word detect and I'm sure you have experienced that detect the spiritual state of every child of God that's what it does you know very well when you are not right with the Lord I know it very well when I am not right with the Lord somehow the Scripture convicting the conscience the heart of the believer we know that and telling us Gideon you are not right you said the wrong thing you have done the wrong things you shouldn't have been in that place you shouldn't have done it's convicting us we are not talking of course it can convict the unbeliever but here in this text in the context of this passage it's speaking to Hebrew believers in Yeshua the Messiah of first century and it's speaking to you and I also it says the.

Word of God is sharp is quick is powerful is discerning everything every thoughts and it says in verse 13 neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his side but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. And I want again to emphasize, notice it's not in whom they have to do, but in whom we, the writer Jewish believer, the readers Jewish believers, and you and I who believe in Yeshua the Messiah, in with whom we have to do. We're going to have to deal with the Lord. He's going to deal with us. And he wants the affection of us to be set upon him and brothers and sisters this is so real this is not for those there or for somebody else this is for those believers who need to grow and need to mature and need to go in the right way and he says listen days everything is naked and open before the Lord and we all need to give account to the Lord and sometimes we feel like taking our faces and put it on the ground and cover it because God knows our hearts and he knows things that we will never want to put it on a big screen that nobody will know yet God knows everything about us and that's why he challenges us and that's why here he's saying to them listen let us labor therefore that we enter into that rest spiritual progress rest lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief and so now when he had finished that section the second warning the warning that he had given to.

Them do not doubt be careful not to doubt God's word chapter 3 verse 7 to chapter 4 and verse 13 now he's passing to continue now to show them the next person that Yeshua is greater than this person now is eron the high priest of the people of Israel and so the text is a long text that deal with Aaron and the greatness of Yeshua over Aaron and this is all the way from four to ten about six seven chapters but we're going to take it a cut at a time a portion at a time and by the way in between all these chapters six or seven chapters there are additional warnings that he give to those Hebrew believers and he give it to us as well so now here's the section and that's very precious you see in verses 14 15 and 16 he shows us that Yeshua the Messiah and the Savior the Redeemer is superior than eron even in the title in the position that he holds.

And the title that he receives you notice how it starts by the way in verse 14 there are three beautiful thoughts that we have here i'm reading verse 14 once again seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens Yeshua the son of God let us hold fast our confession verse 14 in itself highlight for us three wonderful things here that we have about the Lord the first thing that you notice here he is the one that is called not only a high priest but a great high priest you notice that seeing then the writer said to the Hebrew believers that we have not only a high priest, but a great high priest.

Isn't that amazing? Look at the title. You remember with Aaron, if you will read in the book of Exodus chapter 28, you will read how God gave Moses, Moshe, instruction about placing Aaron in his high priestly service. You notice that Aaron was called a priest or high priest. Aaron was never called a great high priest. Here we see the title of our blessed Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that in his title, he's great high priest. In other words, there are many high priests. There are many priests, but there is only one that we can call him a great high priest and why do we need priests beloved brothers and sisters you know why we need a priest even today among our people in the land of Israel you'll ask any Jewish person you want to reach God you want to communicate with the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob how do you communicate with him well he will tell you I gotta go to the synagogue go to the rabbi go to the spiritual leaders and I gotta go through him Because he is the one that is the mediator between me, the Israeli, ordinary Jewish, Hebrew, Israeli individual, and the God of our fathers.

It is very natural for our people, Israel, to feel like that. Why? Simply because the Bible teaches us this. When Israel came out of Egypt, even before our people of all have entered into the land of Canaan, God has already given instruction to the people of Israel. He had given Moses the responsibility to establish in the midst of the nation the priesthood. And remember, Aaron from the tribe of Levi, Levi, had been chosen to be the high priest. No one will ever dare to approach God without the high priest. No one will ever dare to approach the presence of God without the mediator. They had to come to God via the high priest.

The high priest had his sons. Aaron had his sons. And they had the Levites. And the priesthood service was there before the nation of Israel. So when a Hebrew-Israel individual wanted to approach the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the tabernacle, even in the wilderness, he had to go through the priests. And the priests through the high priest ultimately to go into the immediate presence of God. They couldn't do it on their own. There was a distance that was existing between the nation of Israel and God. Though they were near, yet there was a distance at the same time. The mediator had to be there, the high priest and the priest and the function.

You want to offer a sacrifice for sins? You got to take the lamb or the ram or the goat or any animal that will be suitable animal, you're going to bring it before the priest, and the priest will do what he does with the responsibility to minister to that particular Israeli individual. And so he said, listen, for seeing then that we have a great high priest, he was saying to these first century Jewish believers in the Messiah. Now, remember, when he said this to them, Just visualize in your mind for a moment. You and I today don't have priests functioning in any temple here in Toronto, or Tel Aviv, or New York, or Chicago, or whatever city in this world.

We don't have these priests functioning today. But when he was writing to these Hebrews, they were seeing with their eyes. The high priest functioning. They were seeing with their eyes the priests functioning in the temple. They could see and feel and touch and examine and observe the order of service among the people of Israel. But now they believe in Jesus, the Messiah. And they were outcasts. And they felt it. And they were perhaps desiring to go to the temple and they could do it any time. They could go to the temple and they could offer the sacrifices and go to the prison. He could be the mediator for them between them and the God of our fathers.

But then, when they believe in Yeshua, they needed to learn the greater information that God had given unto them. That's why the writer said to them, we, again, I want you to know this, we, you and I, we as believers, we have not only a priest like in the temple, not only a high priest like in the temple, But we have a great high priest. He is superior than Aaron in the title that he have. We have a great high priest. This is the greater title that Yeshua, the Messiah, have received greater than Aaron. Greater than Aaron's sons. Greater than Aaron's descendants. That's what he is teaching.

Those first century Hebrew believers now here's the second thing that is very interesting here in this verse not only that he is greater in his title that he's called great high priest but then we see that this great high priest it says in the second half of verse 14 that is passed into or through the heavens now let's pause on this thought here for a moment now what do you think in your mind or what do you think those Hebrew believers thought in their mind when he was telling them we have a great high priest that he's passed through the heavens do you know what they were thinking immediately the word here by the way i know in the kingdom he said pass into heavens but it actually should be correctly to be said passed through the heavens and i tell you why it is so important to use the word through rather than into because when those Hebrew believers received that letter they already at that time understood that the high priest once a year need to pass through various courts.

In order to get to the Holy of Holies. And if you know, you know that there were those five courts in the temple. The courts of the Gentiles, the courts of the women, the courts of the Israeli men, the court of the priests and the Levites, and the court of the high priest which is the holy of holies when the high priest had once a year to offer a sacrifice for the nation of Israel to represent the nation of Israel before God you know what he had to do he had to walk through the Gentile court continuing further in go pass by the israeli women's court and then through the men court and then he gonna pass through the holy place where the priests could function and finally to enter into Kodesh HaKodeshim the Holy of Holies now when we remember the Day of Atonement we think about Aaron going to the Holy of Holies Aaron had to enter there only one day in a year he couldn't come there at any time but he passed through all these other courts to get in and then here you see the writer said look i know you see that i know what you're experiencing you.

Hebrew believers in the land of Israel i know what you're experiencing i know what you see with your eyes i know how dear it is to your heart where your people your nation the nation of Israel is practicing what God have ordained God had given this tabernacle and the temple order God had given this but now the Messiah have come everything that is a shadow and type of Yeshua the Messiah when he had come he did not only go to the holy of holies in the temple in Jerusalem but he had passed through the heavens he had entered into the immediate presence of God Yeshua the Messiah when he finished the work on the tree for us.

He, not only that he finished the work, but God has taken him and brought him into his immediate presence to sit down there and to be that great high priest to intercede on behalf of the people of God. Hebrews is saying to them, listen, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah passed through into the immediate presence of God passed through the clouds of the heavenly realms into the immediate presence of God he is there appearing in the presence of God for you he is greater not only in the title that he have he is greater in the place that he takes is far superior than the holy of holies in the temple in Jerusalem he has entered into the immediate presence of God you Hebrew believers in Yeshua the Messiah he's saying and i want you just to see that you remember when the Lord died on the cross on the tree on the Roman cross and you remember there when he lifted up his eyes and lifted up his voice to the father and he said you remember in one of the passages father forgive them for they know not what they do another point of time when he was on the cross he said Elohi Elohi lama azavtani my God my God.

Why has thou forsaken me but there was another point where he says it is finished and you remember that when he cried it is finished the veil of the temple had been rent but it was not rent from the bottom to the top but it was read from the top to the bottom when he finished the work on the tree God as if it were opened himself and he ripped this veil he opened it from the top to the bottom and the entrance now was not only to the temple now had been available for the believer but into the holy of holies into the immediate presence of God that's what happened with Yeshua the Messiah finish the work on the cross on the tree and then they put him in a tomb and after three days when he was in the tomb three days and three nights he rose from among the dead and then he was ushered later on after 40 days into the immediate presence of God and I want you to see.

That if you just turn with me to the book of Luke chapter 24 and you'll see at the end of this chapter what we read Luke chapter 24 we read about Yeshua the Messiah and his exit outside of this world into the immediate presence of God Luke chapter 24 we read there at the end of the chapter it says this and behold verse 49 i send the promise of my father upon you but tear you here in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endowed with the power from on high and he led them out as far as Bethany and he lifted up his hands and he blessed them and it came to pass while he blessed them listen to this he was parted from them and he was carried up into heaven and they worshipped him beloved brothers and sisters you see when he finished the work on the tree God they've opened the heavens and he took Yeshua the Messiah into his immediate presence of God passing through.

The heavens through the immediate heavens which is the sky before us through the created heavens such as the sun the moon and the stars the second heavens into the immediate presence of God the third heaven as we read about this in second Corinthians 12 the apostle Paul says about himself that he was caught up into the third heavens he Yeshua the Messiah went into the immediate presence of God and there he is functioning as the great high priest interceding on behalf of his people those Hebrew believers and you and i as well in act chapter one we read these verses and i'm going to read i'll read verse eight but ye shall receive power after that the holy Spirit will come upon you and he shall be a witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in judaea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of this earth and when he had spoken these things while they beheld he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Here we see our blessed Lord Yeshua the Messiah being taken up passed through the heavens as we read in Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 14 this great high priest who had passed through the heavens into the immediate presence of God you know there are many verses that we can read in the Bible about him going to heaven but one of my favorite verses are found in first Timothy chapter 3 and verse 16 this last verse of this chapter where it says and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh justified in the spirit seen of angels preached unto the Gentiles believe on in the world and receive up into glory he was received up into the immediate presence of God that's what the writers say to these Hebrews listen i understand how you feel i understand what you see what you touch what you handle what you experience you could go to the temple at any time and you can allow the high priest to go on yom kippur on the day of atonement.

To the immediate presence of God in the temple there into the holy of holies where he can on your behalf present you before the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob but you Hebrew brethren he's saying to them i want to tell you that Yeshua the Messiah is not only a high priest he's a great high priest He is not only that he has entered into the Holy of Holies in the temple in Yerushalayim, but he has entered into the immediate presence of God passing through the heavens. I remember listening to a message with a brother who said like this, We are capable to put people on a racket and to allow them from one of the locations in the United States or elsewhere in the world to allow them to go into a certain locality or certain place in heaven.

The rockets will get to that place and bring some men there. We know that men walk on the moon. But, beloved brothers and sisters, no one can do what God has done for Yeshua the Messiah. No racket needed. He didn't go only to heaven or into a certain heaven, either the first heaven or the second heaven, but He passed through the heavens into the immediate presence of God. Passing the clouds and the sky, passing the sun, the moon, and the stars, going into the abode where God's presence is, there to intercede on our behalf. Why is it that it's important to continue on and follow after Yeshua the Messiah?

Because he has a greater title. He's entered into a greater place than what Aaron has entered into. But look what he's saying. In the same verse, in verse 14 of chapter 4 of Hebrews, he's telling us that this Yeshua is both God and man in one and that's what he's saying in verse 14 seeing that he have a great high priest number one that is passed through the heavens number two then he tells us who is he who is that person it is Yeshua his Hebrew human name then he says the son of God. He's reminding them that he was a man but he was also God. Aaron was a man but Aaron was only a man.

No more than just a man. Only human. But here we see God and man in one. No wonder he's greater than Aaron. No wonder he's superior than Aaron. Aaron was merely a man but Yeshua Yeshua, his Hebrew name, thou shalt call his name Yeshua. Why? He shall save his people from their sins. Yeshua, the Son of God. You see, that's the beauty. And I know a lot of people have a problem with the humanity and the divine nature of Yeshua the Messiah. Even if we have a problem with understanding that concept, It doesn't change the fact that Yeshua is the eternal Son of God, God the Son, who became a man.

And you see how he's encouraging them, beloved brothers and sisters. And here he's telling them right now the word in verse 14, let us hold fast our confession. Hebrew believers you who have been persecuted because of your faith in Yeshua the Messiah you who have been misunderstood by your families by those that are very dear to you you that have been cast out by him from the temple because of your faith in the Messiah he's saying to them let us hold fast in verse 14 our confession you see the word here i know it says our profession but actually it is our confession you see there is a difference between profession and confession to profess something is to profess that i am something i may not really be to profess that i believe in the Lord Jesus the Messiah or profess that one believe in the Lord Yeshua the Messiah does not necessarily mean that he or she are really are but here we are not talking about professors we are talking about confessors those that confess that they belong to the Lord Yeshua the Messiah he says let us hold fast our confession in other words let us.

Stand to what we already believe let us hold on and continue on move forward recognize that he's a great high priest that he passed through the heaven that he's God and man in one let us hold on to what we have already confessed. Even if you are being misunderstood, even if you are being persecuted, even if people reject you, even if things sometimes seem to be hard, hold on to them. Now, I know we feel sometimes very much upset, but I want to say we don't even know, we don't even have one true measure of understanding how much these early Hebrew believers have suffered for the name of Yeshua the Messiah we have no idea and of course I'm sure that many do suffer many do face rejection by family misunderstanding by people that are ideal to us but I can tell you from what we understand from the Scriptures of first century Hebrew believers suffered without any measure not even to be compared with the suffering that you and I are experiencing these there's misunderstanding and rejection that they have experienced and so in verse 14 alone beloved brothers and sisters we have the fact that Yeshua is a great high priest path through the heavens and the one that is God and man in one and now he continues look at this in verse 15 this is another thing that is very interesting here see they have suffered so now he's telling them.

In verse 15 that Yeshua notices I'm reading for we again I want you to highlight the word we because you have all the time the word we in verse 14 seeing then that we have a great high priest verse 15 for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin you notice that brothers and sisters it says here it's almost like a double negative here it says for we have not a high priest which cannot twice it's a double negative here we have in this verse in other words is emphasizing we don't have this kind of high priest which cannot really touch with the feeling of our infirmity Aaron by the way was high priest but he could never enter into every trial and every infirmity that others have gone through of course he in some small way he could because he had himself infirmities but he could never enter in to every infirmity and challenge that we face.

And every person, every believer face today. Do you know, I don't know what your problem is today. I have mine, plenty of them. Maybe when we smile, we cover a couple of them, but we cannot cover everything. But I'm telling you, we have challenges that we all face, right? Maybe you have a problem with your health. Maybe you have a problem with your children. Maybe you have a problem with a financial problem. Maybe you have a problem with your spouse. Maybe you have problems with other issues in your life that you're facing today, and I face today. But you see what he's saying here? Thank God for this verse.

He says, we do not have a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. What infirmity do you have? What infirmity do I have? By the way, you notice he doesn't mention here the thought of sins, But he is touched with the feeling of our weaknesses, our infirmities. He sympathizes with our infirmities. He doesn't sympathize with our sins. When I sin, when you sin, he doesn't sympathize with this. With this, he had been punished for that. But he can identify with our weaknesses and our infirmities. He's saying to these Hebrew believers that they were longing to go into that high priest who would go into the presence of God for them, into the Holy of Holies.

He's telling to them, he says, look, we have a great high priest. He passed through the heavens. He's God and man in one. And he can identify with your weaknesses, with your infirmities. He can identify with it. He said, we do not have a high priest which could not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. But then he said, but was in all points tested, tempted, like we are, yet without sin. Ah, this is a great lesson to learn today when we think about this passage. You know, a lot of people say, you know, if Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah is God, And he became a man.

And therefore he is not a sinner. He never experienced what I go through. He doesn't know the suffering that I suffer, people say. He doesn't know the trouble that I have because he doesn't have a sin nature, you see. He hasn't experienced what I've experienced. He doesn't know what I go through. Well, here, beloved brothers and sisters, we learn something that is very, very important. We learned something. I was so encouraged when I read some commentaries about this passage. And one of the commentary writers directed the reader to the words, but he was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin. That word all points, what does it mean in all points?

There are three areas in the life of every person in this world in which we are being tempted the three areas John the writer the evangelist give us this in first John chapter 2 he says let me read that first John the epistle of John first John chapter 2 and the verses there John gives us the three areas in which we all are being tempted here in this world. 1 John 2, verse 15 says, love not the world, neither the things which are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, here's the three things, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

Notice that, beloved brothers and sisters. All that is in the world is those three things. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. These are the points in which every one of us is being tempted and tested here in this world. That is all what is existing in this world. And beloved, you check yourself. And I check myself, and you find out that in either one of these points, at a certain point of our life, perhaps today, we all have been tempted and fail. The lust of the flesh, number one. The second, the lust of the eyes, number two.

And the third one is the pride of life. Do you know, if you go back to the Garden of Eden, long before sin came in, those were the three areas in which the tempter tempted Eve in the garden. The three areas in which he had tempted Eve in the garden, and it was there, beloved brothers and sisters, that Eve, and specifically Adam, had fallen into sin and plunged the whole human race into sin. And you remember what we read in Genesis chapter 3 and verse 6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, the lust of the flesh, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, the lust of the eyes, and it was desirable to make one wise, the pride of life, she took of the fruit, and she did it, And she gave it unto her husband, and he did it.

And he plunged the whole human race into sin. And since that time, all that is in the world is those three points in which we are all being tested and tempted. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Now, beloved brothers and sisters, this is the experience of everyone. By the way, believer and unbeliever. And we know that from experience that in all these areas we had failed. We looked at something we shouldn't have looked and desired it. We have touched and wanted something for the flesh for ourselves which we shouldn't have. And we took it. And we have wanted something, the pride that rises within.

And we have embraced it. The pride of life. In all these points, like Adam and Eve, like Adam specifically, who have plunged the whole human race into sin, you and I have experienced it and failed. But what about Yeshua? What about our blessed Lord Yeshua the Messiah? That's what he's telling to the Hebrews. You see, we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Verse 15 of Hebrews chapter 4. But he this is Yeshua in all points he was tempted just like you and i yet without sin now you might say well of course yet without sin he was God and man and we are men we are people yes of course there is a difference but let me just say that when Adam first sinned Adam was in a state of innocence before he fell into sin Adam could reject it and say no God have told me that i'm not to eat of that fruit of the knowledge of good and evil Adam was not yet a sinner he was an innocence but he took it and he failed in the same.

He was tested, and he failed. But you see, when it comes to Yeshua, Yeshua was tested to the uttermost. You see, when we are being tested, we are tested up to so much pressure that we can take. We can only take so much, and we break. In those three areas the lust of the flesh the lust of the eye and the pride of life we break down in a certain point we cave in because of the sin nature that we have but because Yeshua do not have and did not have and will not have a sin nature the test with much more pressure it's like you have the test of gold you know how the people who want to refine gold you know what they do they put it on the fire and the more heat they put into this gold the more purified the gold will be and all that which is not pure will be burnt by the fire well that is exactly what's happened with Yeshua he was pressured and he was pressured and he was pressured and he did not sin.

Whatever limit of testing that you and I are going through, he have got far more than you and I have ever experienced. And he did not sin. He have experienced suffering like no one ever experienced in this world. Yes, he does not have a sin nature. And every temptation that he has experienced, he did not respond to it because he doesn't have a sin nature. But you and I have a deceiver inside us. We allow the tempter, the deceiver within us, give caving in to the tempter without. And we fall into sin. And it is interesting that you and I do have a sinful nature that allows the deceiver from without to do what causes us inside, within.

And that's why we fall and we cave. But not Yeshua. He was tested in all points. Do you remember we read today, our brother read today, in Matthew chapter 4? The tempter took him in Matthew chapter 4. Remember when we read this passage? And you remember when he brought him to the desert? You see, Yeshua was not in the Garden of Eden like Adam and Eve have been. Yeshua had been in the desert. Adam and Eve had plenty of food from every fruit of the tree you may freely eat. Yeshua was hungry for 40 days. He didn't eat. They have been in the most beautiful state and condition in innocency.

He has been in the wilderness hungry. And then the tempter came to him. And the tempter said to him, here is the last of the flesh. If thou be the Son of God, Matthew 4, verse 3, command that this stone will be made bread. He was hungry. And Yeshua said to him, it is written, Men shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. He didn't allow the tempter to tempt him. That was the lust of the flesh. Here in the second temptation in verse 6, And he says unto him, If thou be the Son of God, Matthew 4, 6, cast thyself down, for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and in their hand they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou shalt dash thy foot against a stone.

That's the pride of life. And Yeshua answered and said to him in verse 7, It is written, again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. The tempter come to him again. And in verses 8 and 9 and 10 we read, And again the devil take him even to exceeding high mountain, and he's showing unto him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And he says unto him, All these things will I give to you, if you will fall down and worship me. He showed him everything. The lust of the eyes. It's going to be yours. Just look. It's all going to be yours. All what you have to do is just fall down and worship me.

And look at the preciousness of the answer. And Yeshua said to him in verse 10, Get thee behind Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. And Yeshua told him, It is written. You see, the devil came to seek to find something in him, but he didn't find in him any sin whatsoever. When the devil come to tempt us he find within us the sin nature that we have that cause us to fall and ultimately sin before the Lord you notice what it says in John 14 verse 30 hand force i will not walk much with you for the prince of the world cometh and he hath nothing in me.

You see, there is nothing in him, no sin in the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. But you see, there is sin in us. You see, we have the one inside us that allow the tempter from without to grab a hold of us and to pull us down and allow us to go astray. But here is the one that has been tested in all points, tempted in all points, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, every area that is possible. To the ultimate, he was under the fire, the refining fire, to such an extent, the pressure had been supreme, a great pressure, and he did not cave in.

That tells us that he can identify with any pressure, any testing, any temptation that you and I are going through today. Those Hebrew believers in Yeshua, the Messiah, are experiencing today. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmity. When you are sad, he understands that. When you are tired, he understands it. When you have a desire that is not right, he is not agreeing with the wrong desire, but he understands the temptation and coming away because he had experienced it. When we have all the struggles that we go through, Hebrew believers, he is saying to them, I understand what you are experiencing.

I have experienced rejection like you have. I can identify with your infirmity because i've been tested and tempted in all point yet without sin i didn't fail and it is possible for you he's saying to them to look at me get some help from me so you will be able to rise above temptation and above the things that you are being tested every day of your life and here is the final verse here in verse 16 that i'm going to speak about and we're going to close with this at this point and you notice he said to them now that you understand that you have a great high priest now that you understand that he passed through the immediate presence of God through the heavens now that you understand that he is God and man in one now that you understand that he was tested and tempted in every point in all points this great high priest is for you sympathizing with you waiting to help you in every situation then he says now in verse 16.

Let us therefore come boldly into the throne of grace why should i come to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need you see he's using now the throne of grace this word throne you know why it's called a throne of grace again the Hebrews remember the high priest going to the holy of holies it's called the kapoet in Hebrew the place where God is appearing in the cloud to provide grace for the nation of Israel to provide mercy and forgiveness for the people of Israel to make an atonement there year by A year there upon the ark in between the cherubim and the holy of holies.

And he said to these Hebrews, he said, let us, now again, you Hebrews, and I the writer, he was a Hebrew, we believe, as well, let us come boldly. Now, boldly does not mean carelessly. Boldly does not mean, you know, God, I'm going to come into your presence with a careless attitude. No, boldly means be assured of acceptance by God. Don't feel like if God does not love you, will not accept you, will not understand your feeling. Go into the immediate presence of God. Go to him. Speak with him. Tell him your problems. Don't try to pretend because verse 13, all things are naked and open unto the eyes with whom we have to do.

Just tell him your issues. Tell him your situation. Let us come boldly into the throne of grace the Hebrew word of course it's Greek the Hebrew word for grace is chesed oh how much we need chesed grace from the Lord many times we read in Scripture behold the grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah although he was rich yet he become poor that we through his poverty might be made rich second corinthian we read so many times the grace the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Yeshua the Messiah let us come boldly let us be assured that God will accept us he knows everything about you Hebrews he knows everything about us who are here to listen to the word of God let us come boldly to the throne of grace why that we may obtain mercy and find grace you know the two words grace and mercy are interesting the word grace is that we don't deserve and we receive what we don't deserve that grace mercy is the opposite we don't receive what we really deserve.

What we deserve is a judgment of God and in mercy he didn't give it to us what we don't deserve is eternal relationship with the Lord. And in grace, He provided this for us. Grace and mercy. And where we find grace and mercy, where do you get strength to continue on? You know where we get, that's why brothers and sisters, I'm telling you, let us not neglect to pray every day of our lives. Don't feel like, oh, God does not listen. He doesn't hear me anyway. It's just the same words that I said yesterday. What's the use of prayer well God wants you to come to his presence to the throne of grace that you tell him your needs not that he doesn't know the needs that we have he knows them all but he wants us to share it with him so we will be in the same mind so we will learn from him so we will cling to Yeshua the Messiah see how much he does care and love his own people come to the throne of grace that you will obtain grace to help in time of need there are so many needs that the people of God have we have needs in numerous needs i mentioned that before health needs family need spiritual need financial needs any kind of need that you have you can only find help we can only find grace and mercy in a time like this when we come to the presence of God and to the throne of grace and in the throne of grace if you visualize is the person of Yeshua.

The Messiah his blood had been shed his hands are outstretched and for every need that we have he says listen i know what you suffer i know your situation for this i have suffered and died and i paid a price every sin you have committed confess it every weakness that you have just let me know and i will encourage you and i will bless you and i will lead you in the power of the holy Spirit of God and that's the thought beloved that we have in those three verses Hebrews chapter 4 verses 14 15 and 16 he has a superior title and position than Aaron and we should come to his presence to get grace to find mercy to help us in every time of need may we do so individually in our own homes in our individual life as husbands and wives as families and collectively together we actually really need to do one of these days in addition to the Bible study we really need to.

Have a time not only a one prayer but a general prayer meeting where we can pray on our knees and ask the Lord to help us to encourage us and to lead us on for this we will need to be committed to come to a meeting such as this well may the Lord help us may the Lord encourage us may the Lord set our affection upon the person of Yeshua the Messiah can i hear Amen to that Amen
