Today I'm going to read Hebrews chapter 3 and the next verses. We have stopped actually in the second verse of chapter 3, but let me read once again verses 3 to 6. There's a lot more to glean from this chapter, from these verses. And the point here that we learn in Hebrews chapter 3 is the superiority of Yeshua the Messiah over Moses. When we believe in the Lord Jesus, He is greater than Moses, and we can be so thankful to the Lord for that. Hebrews 3 verse 3: "For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house hath more honor or is more honorable than the house itself.

For every house is built by some man, but he that built all things is God. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after. But Christ, but Mashiach, as a son over his own house, whose house are we, if or since we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." Now, those verses are so important to understand because it helps us to appreciate why we, as believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah, trust in Him. Why we are so confident that He is the one, the answer for mankind is because the Bible teaches us that He is greater than everyone that came before Him.

And in this particular passage, those Hebrew believers have been encouraged to follow the Lord because He was greater not only than the angels, chapter 1 and 2, but also greater than Moses. Now remember, brothers and sisters, that for the Jewish people, for the Hebrews, Moses was very important. Moses is still important. Moses is still important. Coming back from Israel, I can see how Moses is so important to our own people, to our own family, to our own nation, by the very fact that they are clinging to everything that Moses have done, have said, had written. To such an extent that nothing go beyond what Moses have said.

Moses, the lawgiver, is so unique for the Hebrews, to the Jewish people. But, here the writer is telling to those early believers, he says, "Listen, I know Moses is great. I know Moses is very important to our people. But I wanted to understand that Yeshua the Messiah is greater than Him. And therefore, don't go back. Don't decline from following the Lord. Don't go back into the sacrificial system. Don't follow after Yeshua the Messiah, even though Moses is such a great, great man in the history of the nation of Israel." And so you remember, in the first two verses, which we have already covered, he told them in the first couple of verses that they were called holy brethren.

They were partakers of the heavenly calling. They were to consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Yeshua the Messiah. He called them holy brethren. You remember we said we know that they are sanctified, set apart. They are brethren, but they are brethren who have been set apart for the Lord. He called them partakers of the heavenly calling, to make them understand that not only that they have an earthly calling, as the nation of Israel had. But now as believers in the Lord Jesus, they had a heavenly calling. You know, you and I, even though we live in homes, we drive cars, we live in this land.

Actually, heaven is our home. We have been called with a heavenly calling. We have a hope one day to be with the Lord Jesus in heaven. We will be upset from this world with all its problems. One day we are going to be with the Lord. We have a heavenly calling. In my father's house, the Lord Jesus said, there are many mansions. And he said, I go to prepare a place for you. Then he told them, listen, he said to them, I want you to consider the apostle, the sent one, and the high priest, the Messiah, the Lord Jesus, Yeshua. Consider him. Look at him.

He is the one that was sent by the father. And we did talk about it in our last meeting. I do not want to elaborate anymore over these verses. And then in verse two, he's saying about the Lord Yeshua, the Messiah, that he was faithful. He was faithful to him that appointed him, just like Moses was faithful in all his house. So that's where we stop in the last message. I want you to notice, by the way, brothers and sisters, that he doesn't put Moses down here. He doesn't cut him down. He doesn't say Moses is bad and Jesus is better. Moses is bad and Yeshua is good.

He doesn't say that. He's saying Moses was faithful and Yeshua was faithful, just like Moses. But now, when we move on, now you notice in the next verses, verses three, four, five, and six. And those are the verses that I want to speak about today. You notice, by the way, that seven times the word house is mentioned. You understand? Seven times the word house. In verse two, it said that Moses was faithful in all his house. Verse three, it says, this man was counted worthy more than Moses inasmuch as he who has builded the house has more honor than the one than the house itself.

And then it says in verse four, for every house is built by some men, but he that built us all thing is God. Verse five, it says, Moses was verily faithful in all his house. Then verse six, he said, but the Messiah is the son over his own house, whose house are we? You notice seven times the word house is mentioned. And this is interesting to understand because at time it speaks about the house of God as the nation of Israel. And other time it's spoken about the house of God as the assembly, the church, the congregation of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah. The Messiah is speaking about two houses really here.

The first house, of course, has to do with the nation of Israel. Israel, many times we read about Moses and all his house is the house of God. Moses was faithful and Israel was the nation whom he was responsible over. And then, of course, the second time it's speaking about the house, the second, verse six, it has to do with the house of God, with the church of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, with the believers in this present day. So we are talking about two houses. One, the house of Israel. The other one is the house, the body of Messiah. Two different houses. Moses was faithful in all his house under the old covenant, the Mosaic covenant.

Yeshua was faithful in his house under the new covenant, the present day dispensation of the grace of God. Two houses. We have to kind of distinguish this here as we are reading and studying these verses. And by the way, many times God says, oh, house of Israel. Oh, house of Israel. And when he's speaking about the house of Israel, of course, he's speaking about the nation of Israel under the Old Testament economy. And when we're talking about the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, he is responsible over his house under the present day dispensation of the grace of God. So now let's move on with these verses.

And I want you first of all to notice in verses three and four that Yeshua is worthy to receive more glory than Moses because he is the one that builded. He is the architect. He is the architect. He is the one that is the creator of this house. While Moses was not a builder. He was part of the house. Notice he said, for this man. The word for man here is applied to the Lord Jesus, the Messiah. This man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses. Why? Inasmuch as he who has built the house has more honor than the house itself. You see, he's telling to these Hebrew believers, he's saying to them, you know this.

One is part of the house. The other one is the creator or the builder of the house. Well, to whom you're going to give more glory, more honor? Well, obviously to the one who built the house. I'll give you an example. If you and I intend to build a house, we buy a lot, a piece of land, and we're asking for somebody to build for us a house. Well, the one who built the house, who put the bricks one on top of the other, is the one who is the master, the creator, the builder of that particular house. He is greater than the house itself, than the bricks, and the cement, and the wood, and the parts that he has put together in order to build a house.

This is an interesting thing, because sometime in the Bible, when we're talking about the house, we are talking about the literal building. Like we have here. We are in the meeting room right now. The cement, these bricks, these blocks, there are blocks here. And somebody built this house, but it is made out of bricks and cement and wood. But sometime when the Bible is talking about the house, it doesn't talk about the bricks and cement and wood. But the Bible is talking about the spiritual house. It is a house that is not made with hands. It is a house that has to do not with bricks, but with people.

That's why, if you remember many times when I share the word of God, I tell you that it's not correct to say, I go to church. Because the church in this present day is not the bricks and the stones and the wood, but the church are the people that are believers in the Lord Jesus the Messiah. And that's why he's saying here that this man was counted more worthy than Moses to receive glory. Why? Because he who has built the house, the master maker, the creator, the builder, the architect is greater than the house itself. That's why he's saying this. Now, I want us to see for a moment how it is talked about in the Old Testament in the book of Samuel.

Could you turn with me to 2 Samuel, please, for a moment? I want you to see how it has been spoken about 2 Samuel chapter 7. You know, in 2 Samuel chapter 7, David wanted to build a house for God. You remember that in 2 Samuel chapter 7? It says, listen, in the first verses, And it came to pass, when the king sat in his own house, and the Lord had given him rest around about from all his enemies, this was King David, that the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See, Nathan said, look, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwell within curtains, in a tent.

And Nathan said to the king, you go and do whatsoever you will. You see, here David is sitting in his own house of cedar. Apparently he got a lot of cedar, cedar of Lebanon. And he built a great castle for himself, a humongous house for himself. And then he looked at the ark of the covenant, and he sees it sitting in a tent, in a tent meeting, in a place in a tent. So David says, it's not right. David says, I have to do something. How is it possible that I am dwelling in such a beautiful, big house made out of wood, cedar wood? And the ark of the covenant is in a tent.

Something is not right. So David intended to build a house, to build a temple for the Lord. But now notice the flip, the other side of it. While David wanted to build a house for the Lord, God is telling David, David, listen. You know, I'm very nice that you want to build me a house. But David, I want to tell you, I am going to build a house for you. For you. And he didn't mean I'm going to build a house for you made out of the city of Lebanon. But I am going to build a spiritual house that will last forever, for a long period of time.

I'm jumping down in 2 Samuel. And notice it says here in verse 12. 2 Samuel 7 verse 12. And when thy days be fulfilled, God is saying, and you will sleep with your fathers. I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels. And I will establish his kingdom. And he shall build a house for my name. Speaking about what Solomon was going to do. But then he continuing down and he's saying in the next verses, he says in verse 14. I will be his father and he shall be a son unto me. And if he commit iniquities and so on, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men.

But my mercy shall not depart away from him as I took it from Saul whom I put away from before thee. And then he said, thine house and thy kingdom shall be established forever before thy throne shall be established forever. You see, you understand? Verse 16. Thine house, thy kingdom shall be established forever before thee. Thy throne shall be established forever. And so God is saying now to David, your house shall be established forever. He doesn't talk about the building like this. He's talking about the spiritual house of David, the descendants of David, which will come after him. David and then Solomon and then Solomon's son and then Solomon's son, son.

He's talking about the spiritual house of David, which God is going to establish. And he said it twice. He's saying that it will be established forever. And so the lesson is here for us, beloved brothers and sisters, that Moses was the one who served in the house of God. But the Lord Jesus, the Messiah deserved more glory than Moses because he is the one that is the builder, the creator, the architect of this house. And he deserved to receive more glory than Moses. This is what verse three is teaching us. For this man counted worthy of more glory than Moses in as much as he who has built the house has more honor than the house itself.

And in verse four, he continued and he says, for every house is built by some men. But he that built all things is God. Interesting here in these verses, we learn also again in another fact that the Bible teaches about the deity of the Messiah. In verse three, it says this man in verse four, he says God. He's showing to us that Yeshua is not only a man, but he's also a divine person. He's also God. He builds everything. This man was counted worthy of more honor than Moses in as much that he is the one that built the house is greater than the house itself.

And so that's what verses three and four is teaching us. Moses was great, but Yeshua is the master builder, as the creator is greater than Moses and deserve to receive more honor and more glory than Moses. Now we continue in verse five. And in verse five, he's continued to tell us how while Moses was faithful, Moses was faithful as a servant. But the Lord Jesus, he was faithful, but he was not a servant, but he was a son over his house. Moses was a servant serving in the house. Yeshua was a son over the house of God. You notice that in verse five, it says, and Moses verily was faithful in all his house as a servant.

For a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after. And then verse six is the bottom Messiah. This is Yeshua. As the son was over his own house, whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Now Moses was a servant and the Lord Jesus was a son. Moses served in the house. Yeshua was serving over the house. You see, he's showing them the difference between Moses and Yeshua the Messiah. And that's why he's telling them again and again. He's showing to them that the Lord Jesus the Messiah is greater than this man by the name of Moses.

Now, he doesn't knock Moses down. He doesn't tell the believers there that Moses is no good and Jesus is good. He doesn't say that. But he's showing to them that while Moses was so important for Israel, Yeshua is greater. He's more important. He's the one that we can trust in him. We can follow after him. And we should so because he is the one that is superior than all what came before him. And those two verses really indicate to us the importance of Yeshua, the superiority of Yeshua over Moses the servant of the Lord. Now, how about us, you know, when we're talking about serving the Lord?

How about you and I? How are we in a service for the Lord? You know, it's easy to serve the Lord when things are going well. It's easy to serve the Lord when there's no problems and things are easy. Everybody's happy with us and things are well. It's very easy to serve the Lord. You know, we are doing some things for the Lord. Things are easy this way. But what happened when there are problems coming in our lives? When there are challenges at facing? You see, these Hebrews, for example, they had to face a lot of problems. They had to face the rejection of their own brethren.

They had to face the misunderstanding by the leaders of Israel. They had to face separating from their family, their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, children. They had to face these things, rejection of their own people. And they had a lot to lose, if you will, if they are going to forsake the things that have been taught so much up to this point. But they were encouraged by the writer to say, no, they haven't lost anything. When they have accepted Yeshua, when they follow Yeshua, the Messiah, they were actually pleasing the Father, pleasing God and receiving the many, many blessings that God have intended for them. I want you to see the importance of this here in those two verses.

You notice that he's saying in verse 6, But the Messiah was faithful as a son over his own house. And then he says, whose house are we? He doesn't talk about the building. He's saying we are the house of God. Do you know that you and I, we are being actually the house of God wherever we are. Let's say we are here in this meeting room today and we are moving out of this meeting room and we are going outside to visit a friend. We are part of this house of God. We haven't changed. Nothing has changed. Then we have left and we have gone to another location.

We are still part of the house of God. We haven't stopped to be the house of God. But as the house of God, oftentimes we are being unfaithful. And we know that. We know that individually in our own heart. We know it collectively. We know that many times we are not being the way we should be. And that's why he's saying to them that we be in the house of God. And we need to, as it said at the end of verse 6. Since we hold with confidence and the rejoicing of the hope, firm all the way unto the end. Now, I know that a lot of Christians use this verse, verse 6.

It says, if we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing of the hope unto the end. In other words, if. What about if we will stop to be faithful one time? What about if we fail in action one day? What happened to our eternal relationship with the Lord? I want to suggest that the word here, if, should actually not be said as if. But the word since should be replacing the word if here. Because we know that we are not keeping ourselves. We can't keep ourselves saved to the end. We can't because we are failing creatures. We are failing people. Our salvation is not dependent on our performance.

But our salvation depends upon the work of the Lord Jesus the Messiah. But it is also true. That a believer, though he fail and stumble here and there. It is important for a believer to confess his or her sins. To get up and to continue on. In living for the Lord. In spite of difficult times. Now I've got a few verses that I want us to see. Because he's saying that we are the house of God. I want you to see how he means when he uses this expression. The house of God. So the first verse I want you to turn to is the book of Corinthians.

1 Corinthians chapter 6. 1 Corinthians chapter 6. The first time he mentions about us being the temple of God. Is found in 1 Corinthians 6.19. There he is dealing with the individual body. In 1 Corinthians 6.19. He says there. Don't you know. That your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Which is in you. Which ye have of God. And ye are not your own. For ye have been bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body. And in your spirit. Which belong to God. Here is the first verse. Now you know the body that we have. Is the very same body. That the Holy Spirit of God is dwelling in that body.

But how often. We have used this body. In a way that is not honoring to the Lord. God. God. The spirit. Is in dwelling. He says. You see. He says. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God. And how many times. We have took this body of ours. And used it. In a way that is not pleasing to the Lord. Now does that mean. That all of a sudden. The Holy Spirit of God. Is no longer dwelling in this temple. All of a sudden. The Holy Spirit of God. Is not dwelling in our body. No. It doesn't mean so. What it means.

When we sin against the Lord. That we have grieved. The Holy Spirit of God. That we have hurt him. And that we cannot have liberty. We don't have liberty. Unless we confess it. And say. Lord. I have sinned before you. I have sinned before you. And that's why he's saying. Don't you know. He's appealing to them. He doesn't tell them. Now that you have sinned. You are no longer belong to the Lord. You are no longer a child of God. He doesn't say that. But what he's saying. That we. Have to realize. Every day of our life. That our bodies. Is the temple. Where the Spirit of God.

Is indwelling. And that we don't belong to ourselves. We have been bought. With the price. And the price was. The blood. That the Lord Jesus. The Messiah. Shed on the tree. We have been bought. With a price. Now you know. It's going to make a difference. In our lives. If we. We're going to memorize that. Deep in our head. Our hearts. Our conscience. That there was a price. That had been paid. In order to bring us. To a relationship. With the Lord. The price was. The death. Of the Lord Jesus. On the cross. You have been bought. With a price. And then he says. Because you have been bought.

With a price. Glorify God. In your body. And in your spirit. Which belong. To God. Glorify the Lord. Live a life. That is pleasing. To the Lord. Because you. Are the house of God. He's saying. You. Your body. Is the temple. Of the Holy Spirit. Of God. So 1 Corinthians. Chapter 6. Has to do. With the body. Which is the temple. The Holy Spirit. Of God. It is the body. Of the individual. Where the spirit. Of God. Is indwelling. Now. In 2 Corinthians. Chapter 60. Is another verse. And I want you. To turn there. In 2 Corinthians. Chapter 60. Doesn't speak about. The individual. Body. As much. But he's talking about.

The collective testimony. Of the people. Of God. Together. And so. In 2 Corinthians. Chapter 6. And verse 16. He's. Talking to the. Collective assembly. When they are together. He says. In verse 16. What. Agreement. Has the temple. Of God. With idols. For ye. Are the temple. Of the living. God. Notice the word. Ye. He's talking about. Plural now. In 1 Corinthians. 6. Is your body. God. In 2 Corinthians. 6. Is the collective. Believers. When we are together. And that's what he's saying. You. Believers. You. Are the temple. Of the living. God. And God said. I will dwell. In them. I will walk. In them. I will be. Their God. And they will be.

My people. That's what he's saying. Now. In 2 Corinthians. Chapter 6. He's now talking about. Us. Collectively. Remember again. He doesn't talk about. The bricks. He doesn't talk about. Cedar wood. He doesn't talk about. Cement. He doesn't talk about. Big crosses. On a big. Building. He's talking about. Us. Like. Hebrews 3. 6. Says. You are. The house of God. 1 Corinthians. Ye are. The temple. Of the living. God. And God said. I am going. To dwell. With them. You know. Every time. When we gather together. Every time. You might not realize that. And I might not realize that. But the Lord Jesus. Is in the midst. Of his own people.

Every time. That's why. When we come together. It is so important. To have a sense. Of confession. Confession. Before the Lord. We don't have to do it publicly. To come quietly. Before the Lord. And say. We believe. That you are in our midst. Today. We don't see you. Lord. We only see. The things around. The people around. We don't see you. But in spirit. The Lord had promised. To be in the midst. Of his own people. Where two or three. Are gathered together. Unto my name. Yeshua said. There am I. In the midst. Of them. Do we believe it? Do I believe it? Do I believe it?

We sometimes. Don't believe it. We look at each other's faces. We are busy. With each other's action. And what they do. And who they are. Where they go. And where they've come from. And all this. We will realize. That the Lord. Is in the midst. Of his own people. Like he says here. You are the temple. Ye. The plurality. You are the temple. Of the living God. God says. I will dwell in them. I will walk in them. I will be their God. And they shall be my people. That's what God is saying. And this is exactly. What happened. Even right this moment. As I'm speaking today.

As we are here. Sitting quietly. To listen to the word of God. The Lord Jesus. Is in the midst. Of his own people. And here. He is the center. And so you see. When he's saying. In Hebrews 3. In verse 6. The Messiah. Is a son. Over his own house. Whose house. Are we. He is not talking about. Cement. And wood. He's talking about us. Individual believer. When a person. Become a believer. In the Lord Jesus. The Messiah. This person. Can go anywhere. This person. Is part. Of the house. Of God. Is a little brick. In that building. That is composing. The house. Of God. So that was.

Second Corinthians 6. In verse 16. Now go. To Ephesians. Please. Chapter 2. And I'm just talking still about. The house of God. And in Ephesians chapter 2. Paul again writing about. The house. Of God. And that we. Believers. Are. That particular house. In verse 18. Of chapter 2. Paul is saying. Verse 18. Of Ephesians 2. For through him. We both. This is Jews. And Gentiles. Have access. By one spirit. To the father. Verse 19. Therefore. You are no more strangers. And foreigners. But fellow. Citizens. With the same. And. Of the household. Of God. Here's this expression. Again. You are. Fellow citizens. You are. Saints. And. Of the. Household. Of God. Verse 19. Then verse 20. And you are.

Built. Upon. The foundation. Of the apostles. And the prophets. Yeshua. The Messiah. Himself. Being. The chief. Corner. Stone. In whom. All. The building. Fitly. Framed. Together. Growing. Into a holy temple. In the Lord. In whom. You also. Are. The foundation. Of God. Through. The spirit. Here's again. Now. He's writing. To the Ephesians. And he is. Explaining. To the non-Jewish. Non-Hebrew. Believers. He says. You know. Now. You are. A part. Of the body. Of Messiah. A composition. Of Jew. And non-Jew. Together. And you are. Fitly. Together. As he says. To them. As a building. Fitly. Together. Growing. Together. Into a. Temple. In the Lord. And that's what happened.

Beloved. Brothers. And sisters. You and I. Are. Built. Together. We are making. The house. Of God. Now. Sometimes. Sometimes. We are not. In the. Enjoyment. The place. That God. Have given us. To be. But. Nevertheless. You. And I. Are the house. Where the Lord. Jesus. The Messiah. Is dwelling. In the midst. Of his own. People. And that's why. He's greater. Than Moses. Moses. Was a servant. Yeshua. Was. An heir. A son. Moses. Was a servant. In the house. A house. Yeshua. As it says. A son. Over. A house. That belong. Unto. Him. And that's what he's. Emphasizing. Here. In these. Verses. Now. The question. At the end here.

In the end of verse 6. Is. How. Are we. When we look at Moses. As a faithful servant. We have to ask ourselves. The question. And that's why. Earlier. John read the verses. In Matthew. Chapter 25. And you remember. In Matthew. Chapter 25. There's the story. Of the Lord Jesus. Who is going. To a far country. And he gives. Gifts. He gives. Abilities. To every individuals. And we are. To deal with it. We are to live. Our lives here. Building. And using. The talents. And the gifts. That the Lord. Had given to us. For himself. Because one day. He's coming back. And he's going to ask us. To ask us.

This question. What have you done. With what I've given to you. To use. With the gifts. That I've given to you. With the talents. That I've given to you. Have you been faithful. With these things. And you remember. The two of them. In Matthew. Chapter 25. He says. A well done. Good. And faithful servant. You have been faithful. In little. I will give you much. He said. Enter into the joy. The joy. Of your Lord. But there was one servant. There. That did not do. It was not faithful. He was not faithful. At all. In fact. When we read. In this. 25th chapter. Of the gospel.

Of Matthew. If you remember. Actually. We didn't read. This passage. But there's one person. There. He which he received. The one talent. Came into the Lord. And he said. I knew. That you are a hard man. Ripping where you are not. Sowing. And so on. And then he said. I was afraid. Here is the one talent. That you gave me. Take it. And you know. What the Lord says. He says. Take therefore. The one talent. That he had. Give it unto him. Which has the ten talent. For unto everyone. That has. Shall be given. And he shall have. In abundance. But unto him. That has not.

It shall be taken away. Even that which he has. And he says. Cast away. This unprofitable servant. Into the outer darkness. Where there shall be. Weeping. And gnashing. Of teeth. And the lesson for us. Is to realize. That the Lord Jesus. The Messiah. Is superior. Than Moses. And to seek. To live. A faithful. Life. For the Lord. And when we fail. When we are not honoring. The Lord. Just simply. To confess. It before him. And to. Have. Help from him. To help us. To forsake. That. Which is. Dishonoring. Unto him. Now. In these verses. By the way. If you will look. At these verses. Together.

Verses. One to six. Of Hebrews. Chapter three. You will notice. That there are. Seven. That the Messiah. Yeshua. Is greater. Than Moses. Let me point. Those seven. To you. If you want. To write this down. Seven points. Or seven. Proves. That Yeshua. The Messiah. Is greater. Than Moses. The first one. Is in verse one. While. Moses. Was sent. By God. The Lord. Yeshua. The Messiah. Is the. Sent one. The apostle. Notice. It says. Verse one. Wherefore. Holy. Brethren. Partakers. Of the heavenly. Calling. Consider. The apostle. And high priest. Of our profession. Yeshua. The Messiah. Moses. Was. A sent one. But Yeshua. Is. The. Sent one.

There were many. That God. Had sent. To serve. In the midst. Of the nation. Of Israel. But there's only one. That God. Have sent. And he called him. The. Sent one. The word. Apostle. Apostolos. In Greek. In Hebrew. Shaliach. It simply means. That he was. Sent by God. But the one. The supreme one. He was the one. That was sent. By God. That's the first one. The second one. Is in found. In verse three. And there. While Moses. Was a member. Of the house. Of God's house. Yeshua. Is the one. Who built the house. It says. In verse three. For this man. Speaking about Yeshua.

The Messiah. Was counted worthy. Of more glory. Than Moses. Why? In as much. As he. Who has. Built. The house. Has more. Honor. Than the house. Itself. You see. Moses. Was part. Of the house. Of God. Yeshua. Is the one. Who built. The house. And therefore. He's greater. Than Moses. Because he built. The house. He put you. And I. He put us. Into. He saved us. And he put us. As a. Brick. That is. Part of the house. But he's. The master builder. He's the one. Who built. The house. That's number two. Look at the third one. In verse four. While Moses. Was. Involved. In one house.

Yeshua. It says here. Is building. Everything. He built. All. Houses. And of course. This is a reference. To him. As God. And that is found. In verse four. For every. House. Is builded. By some. Men. But he. That build. All. Things. Is. God. See again. Here's the comparison. Moses. Was. As he says. Involved. In being. Part. Of one house. This is the house. Of God. The nation. Of Israel. But God. Built. Everything. God. Is the one. The assembly. The church. Of the Lord. Jesus. The Messiah. Here's the comparison. God. Is over everything. Jesus. The Messiah. Is over everything. He is that God. That we are talking about.

While Moses. Was involved. In part. Of the house. That God. Had built. Now. This is the third one. Notice. The fourth one. The fourth one. Is Moses. Is Moses. Was mere man. But Yeshua. Was divine. And that's again. Found in verse. Three and four. And again. It says. You see. This man. In verse three. Is none else. But God himself. And we already. Saw it. In Hebrews chapter one. If you remember. When we study. But unto the son. He said. Thy throne. For ever and ever. And you see. The Lord Jesus. Is more than just a man. He is divine. He is God. And even though.

Moses is a great man. Moses was just a man. But the Lord Jesus. The Messiah. Is divine. And we can trust him. We can. Receive forgiveness. Of sins. Through him. And that's why. He is superior. Than Moses. In these fourth ways. Now. He is. God. While Moses. Was only a man. That's number four. Number four. Look at number five. The fifth thing. That we learn. Is also. From verses five. And six. Now. Is that. While Moses. Was a servant. The Lord Jesus. Was a son. There is a difference. Between a servant. And a son. Verse five. I'm reading. Moses. Verily. Was faithful. In all his.

As a servant. Verse six. But. The Messiah. As a son. You see. The difference. Moses. Was a servant. Great servant. Faithful servant. But the Lord Jesus. Is the son. The son. Is the heir. The son. Is the one. That God. Gives him. Everything. He is the one. Who received everything. Moses. Was a good servant. But. Yeshua. Was the son. And that's the fifth way. In which. Is greater. Than Moses. In these verses. These verses. Now notice. The sixth. Way. In which. He's greater. Than Moses. In verse. Five. It says. Moses spoke. Prophetically. But Yeshua. Fulfilled. All. What was spoken. By Moses. Himself. I'm reading. Verse five.

Again. Moses. Was. Verily. Faithful. In all. His house. As a servant. And notice. He continued. The verse. Was. Giving a testimony. Or for a testimony. Of those things. Which were to be spoken of. After. Moses. Was speaking. Of things. To come. Moses. You remember. What he said. In Deuteronomy. Chapter. Eighteen. A servant. Like unto me. God will raise. From among you. Moses. Was speaking. Prophetically. He was the one. That was really. A forerunner. Speaking. About the Messiah. Who will come. In a future day. He was only. Speaking. Prophetically. He was not. The fulfillment. He was only. Speaking of. As a testimony. As it says here.

For a testimony. Of those things. Which. Were to be spoken. Of. After. He was speaking. Of the shadow. Why the Lord. Jesus. The Messiah. Was the fulfillment. In Hebrews. Chapter. Eight. In verse five. We read. Who serve. Unto an example. And shadow. Of heavenly. Things. As. Moses. Was. Admonishing. Of God. When he. Was about. To make. The tabernacle. For. See. He said. That you. Will make. All things. According. To the. Padren. Showed. To. The. In the. Mount. Was speaking. About. Shadows. By the. Lord. Jesus. Was. The. Fulfillment. Like. We have. In. Hebrews. 10. Verse. One. For. The. Lord. Having. A shadow. Of. Good. Things. To. Come.

And. Not. The.

which they offer year by year continually make the comers there unto perfect but then he says he's speaking about the lord jesus the messiah who came to fulfill that which he moses had been speaking about the law and what moses had given was only a shadow but we have in the messiah we have the fulfillment of what god had given to us through moses so this is number six moses was prophetically speaking about the future the lord jesus the messiah is a fulfillment of all things and here's the final one the final one is also found in verses five and six moses was in the house as a servant but yeshua was over the house

as a son again i'm reading verses five and six for moses fairly was faithful in all his house as a servant verse six but the messiah is a son over his own house you see the difference moses was in the house as part of the house yeshua was and so beloved brothers and sisters here's an encouraging words that the writer give to those hebrews moses is a great servant moses is a faithful servant but the lord jesus the messiah deserved to receive more glory than moses in as much that he is the son he is the creator he is the builder he is the builder he is over the house and therefore you got to

continue to follow after the lord jesus now that's have been touching a very important part for the hearts of these jewish hebrew believers because remember i often mentioned this before you and i today don't have the issues that they had then they had a temple standing we don't they had a priest of a sacrifice we don't they have an altar in the temple we don't they had the sacrifices on the altar we don't they had the family associated with this with the whole nation of israel we don't in many ways and therefore for them it must have been so hard to make a decision for the lord jesus the messiah to be rejected by their

families the brother and their people for them it must have been so down deep in their hearts it was a real message to speak to their own hearts for us today it's also speaking to us as well but it is in a different way we have it much easier than those early hebrew believers of the time when these verses had been written therefore we are much more responsible therefore we are much more obligated to god to respond to what he tell us what he called us that's why we have no excuse no excuse when we understand what the lord and jesus the messiah have done for us we have no excuse we need to respond

to his call and to continue to follow after him and we can hold by the grace of god hold on in confidence for the end of verse six rejoicing for the hope and to the day unto the end when he's going to come and take us to be with him at home i'm not going to continue from verse seven at this time but all the for verse seven all the way to chapter four in verse 13 we have the second warning that he is giving to those hebrews and we're going to talk about that lord willing in our next message together the second warning that he's warning them to continue on and while the first
